I'm currently thinking about my next investments.

I came across $MAERSK A (+0.04%) and I find it very interesting.

Has anyone already invested there or does anyone else perhaps have $MAERSK A (+0.04%) on the watchlist?

Scalable Wealth

My robo-advisor is doing very well so far this year, which is probably because it invests 10% in crypto. It is currently at +7.31% YTD. Like every month, the same amount always flows in here. Overall, the robo-advisor is now at +13,10%.

Crypto

I bought about 1700 $CRO (+4.32%) because I think the company is doing a good job, especially with regard to the scandal with Wirecard.

My crypto portfolio is up over +24% YTD. This is largely due to $INJ (+0.37%) . Bought in November and currently at about +160%

Shares

I bought my Commerzbank shares in January/February $CBK (-2.23%) and my $VUL (+14.74%) sold my shares. I still like Commerzbank, but I wanted to put the money into other companies. New additions are $MAERSK A (+0.04%) and $ZIM (+1.52%) . These are to be saved in the future with the help of a savings plan, but are not currently at the top of my list of priorities. My current priority is to build up my existing positions. My strategy has worked very well so far. Today in particular $DTG (-0.12%) Daimler Truck has been very convincing. I am currently up 41.62% with Daimler Truck.

As not only my investment is set to grow, but I personally would also like to grow, I will also write something briefly about this.

I have read 4 books so far this year. These include the book "The Richest Man in Babylon". So far, I have consistently achieved my goal of reading every day this year. I would be very happy to receive further book suggestions.

My studies are also progressing very well at the moment. I have already successfully completed the accounting, business administration and cost and performance accounting courses this year, even though it was very stressful, as I wrote the exam in cost and performance accounting just 2.5 weeks after the start of the course, for example. I am currently studying for the exam in financing and investment.

I'm also making progress professionally and have been able to improve there too. In a few days, I'll be starting my new job in marketing, which I'm really looking forward to.

Due to several attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea, decides $MAERSK A (+0.04%) decided not to allow its container ships to sail through the area for the time being.

Has anyone here ever applied for the withholding tax refund from Denmark? I have applied for this in mid - late April but have not received anything back yet. No notification that an application has been received, no money, nothing. Does anyone have any experience? On google someone had written, he had only waited 4 weeks but much can not be found.

A few weeks ago, there were some posts on the topic of shipping companies, mainly triggered by the partly nice or rather high special dividends 🤑

For all those who deal with shipping companies, perhaps a few facts about transshipment and the largest ports in the world are also interesting? Without container ports, global trade would grind to a halt!

When it comes to valuing and estimating the future development of the companies, the data of the ports or their estimates can also be a good indicator, or another source of information to check your own investment case.

Among the top 10 container ports, there are now 8 in China 😳. The "size" of a port is measured by its handling volume in standard containers, so-called TEU. These are Twenty-foot-Equivalent Units, an internationally standardized unit for throughput volume.

The container throughput worldwide will grow to almost one billion TEU by 2024 (Drewry estimate - see link below). (Drewry estimate - see link below). Asia in particular will grow strongly, according to shipping experts. Europe, the second largest region after Asia, will also benefit from the increase in transport volume, but not quite as strongly. Overall, all regions will record an "increase" in container throughput, including the Middle East, North and South America, as well as Africa and Australia with Oceania.

Throughput has been increasing worldwide for years. Compared to 2015 (index = 100), the container throughput index is 20 percent higher worldwide (120.2 in January 2023). It peaked in June 2022 at 126.4.

My conclusion: The increasing freight volumes should not be a disadvantage for the major shipping companies! Nevertheless, to date I am not invested in $MAERSK A (+0.04%)
$HLAG (-0.03%)
$ZIM (+1.52%) and Co. Many factors influence the freight rates and thus also the achievable returns. Container rates China-Europe were a few years ago still under 1000USD, these have increased in the Corona crisis by a multiple, now somewhat normalized again, but still very volatile. For me a little too incalculable. But, still remains an interesting area!

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? $MAERSK A (+0.04%) and $MAERSK B (+0.02%) except that the price differs by 20 euros, the same amount of dividend is distributed at the end of the month.
