Good morning,
Today I actually bought the first tranche of the following shares:
Intel - Arm Holding - Nokia - Pfizer
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$INTC (+11,6%) Nobody believes me, but I actually wanted to buy Intel last week before the significant rise, after the rise I speculated on a setback, which didn't turn out to be so strong and today I simply bought.
Why Intel? What distinguishes Intel from AMD and NVIDIA?
Intel is the only one that develops and also produces itself. Of course, this also entails risks, but it is also the case that Intel is the only non $MU (+4,36%) is the only non-Asian chip manufacturer that has the latest ASML machines. Is that not one of the reasons why even Nvidia is now investing in Intel... By the way, I actually bought Micron today, simply to increase the size of the position.
In my opinion, anyone investing in Intel today should have a lot of patience. As you know, I don't have much of that, so maybe this will be my gym.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$ARM (+1,05%) Arm develops the Arm architecture for processors, which are particularly efficient and do not require cooling, which is why you find them as standard in smartphones, tablets and other devices, and sells the licenses to Qualcomm, Apple, Samsung and Nvidia, for example.
They are involved in almost all smartphone chips, earning money from the license without having to bear any production costs themselves.
The risks are a very high valuation, in which a lot of growth is already priced in. Strong dependence on the smartphone market, competitors could contest market shares and the company is very dependent on the Asian market.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$NOKIA (+10,84%) is quite well positioned and a leader in 5G network technology. For example, it controls over 29% of the 5G market outside China and is already in the lead in 6G... The business model is quite cyclical, investment intensive and the technological change is very fast.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$PFE (-0,23%) has made many strategic acquisitions in recent years. The acquisitions of Seagen and currently Metsera, among others, show that Pfizer is making targeted investments in growing and lucrative therapeutic areas. Whether the pipeline will be successful remains to be seen and is probably one of the greater risks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have mentioned some of the risks, there are probably countless. The stocks fit into my portfolio quite well, as I mainly invest in boring ETFs and the weighting of these individual stocks is too low to significantly jeopardize my basic investment. If things go really badly, the money is gone, if things go reasonably badly, I have dividend stocks 🤪
$DUOL continues to plummet after the really good quarterly figures.
More and more critical voices and fears are coming to light that the company may be completely or largely replaced by already very advanced and sophisticated AI models.
Whether #duolingo the next $NOKIA (+10,84%) or $BB (+2,32%) of the 21st century?
What are your opinions? I actually couldn't find any headlines for today's #dip headlines for today. Does anyone know what!

Driver for robotics in e-commerce & logistics, invests in humanoid robotics applications
The hype is all about humanoid robots, but the constant winners are in the background.
I have divided the analysis into two perspectives. 1. the complete value chain of humanoid robots, which shows all the players from the chip to the finished robot, and 2. the blade manufacturers in the background, who always earn money as enablers, regardless of which manufacturer wins the race.
ASML, Applied Materials and Tokyo Electron dominate in manufacturing technology. Quality assurance comes from Keysight, Advantest and Teradyne. Chip design is supported by Synopsys, Cadence and ARM. Data streams are secured by Arista Networks, Cisco and Equinix. The computing basis is created in the cloud by Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet. Albemarle, Lynas and Umicore play a central role in raw materials and battery materials. These companies monetize their customers' investment waves, have high barriers to entry, service revenues and pricing power, but remain cyclical with risks from export rules, capex cuts and currency movements.

Takeaway: Investing in the infrastructure stack allows you to participate in the robotics trend regardless of the subsequent product winner and reduces the individual product risk, but you have to live with cycles. In your opinion, which stage of the chain offers the best risk/return combination and fits into a disciplined portfolio?

I can imagine that we could still have a few red days ahead of us, but $NOKIA (+10,84%) I have now added a few more. Before the chaos, things were on the up for a year, the order situation seems good and a few days ago Intel brought in a new CEO who wants to do even more in the data center sector. It all sounds exciting to me. The correction was less severe than for other stocks, but perhaps that's another point in the company's favor in these times.

Of Topic - Smartphone decision aid
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know of any other place where there are as many people with an affinity for software and technology as in this forum. I would therefore like to ask you for advice on my first major purchase in 2024, namely a new Android smartphone. Indirectly, the whole thing even has to do with finances, because on the one hand the purchase will reduce my savings rate for December and on the other hand a smart purchase can represent an "investment" 🧐
In order to be able to make a specific recommendation, I will now describe my usage behavior:
I don't have WiFi at home. In the beginning, I had a little box where you could put the SIM card in and Wi-Fi came out. But now I prefer to have two cell phones, one is my iPhone, which I use for a lot of things but not everything, and the other is the Android cell phone I'm looking for, which I now want to replace and call a WLAN donor.
Why Android?
With the software versions I know, Android has the advantage that you can switch on the hotspot permanently and it remains active even when no devices are connected. I also have apps that are only available for the iPhone and only for Android.
Budget:
I'm aiming for around €200 if it makes sense, it could also be €250 🤭
Main tasks WLAN dispenser:
Hotspot, e-reader, telephone
It would be important to me:
The WLAN dispenser should have a powerful battery, as it supplies all my devices with WLAN 24/7.
The WLAN dispenser should have a relatively large and eye-friendly display, as I use it a lot for reading, but still fit in my handbag. (Smartphones of 6-7 inches are probably ideal here)
It would be great if the WLAN dispenser costs little, has a minimalist design, looks and feels good, doesn't have any huge structures or protruding lenses on the back and has advantageous software.
So am I looking for the jack of all trades and cheap to boot?
No, you can make compromises in many areas, for example, the quality of the camera/s is irrelevant, the speed and manufacturer of the chip are irrelevant, NFC is not needed, the charging speed is unimportant and all the other popular features are not needed either.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks if you've read this far and now I'm looking forward to one or two smartphone recommendations.

Additional question:
I have already noticed that certain apps and subscriptions have different prices between Germany and Austria. It should be even cheaper with countries like Poland, Turkey or Brazil...
The new smartphone would be the chance to set up everything with the cheapest country... Which countries would be a good choice for getting apps and subscriptions at a good price and what should I bear in mind?
Thanks again

Robinhood in the fast lane with expansion into Asia + Stabilus to pay lower dividend and sales could grow + JPMorgan raises Nokia to 'Overweight' - target up to EUR 6.05
After the investor day of Robinhood analysts are bullish for the broker. Robinhood (HOOD) has shot an arrow in the direction of investors - and hit it! At the company's investor day this week, CEO Vlad Tenev said that his clients are interested in sports betting. There is no concrete information yet, but the direction is clear: expansion; not only geographically, but also into new areas. The company recently successfully entered the UK market and is set to enter the Asian market next year. Goldman's strategists are now sniffing the morning air. In a recent press release, the bank explained that Robinhood has a "growing ...
Automotive supplier Stabilus aims to generate at least as much revenue in the 2024/25 fiscal year, which runs until the end of September, as in the previous year. The company is targeting sales of EUR 1.3 to 1.45 billion, Stabilus announced on Monday when presenting its final annual figures for 2023/24. Analysts already have the upper end of the range on their notes. This should leave 11 to 13 percent as operating profit (adjusted EBIT). In the worst case scenario, this would mean that the specialist for luggage compartment gas springs would be less profitable than in the past financial year with a margin of 12%. The Stabilus management intends to pay a dividend of EUR 1.15 per share for the past fiscal year. This compares to EUR 1.75 a year earlier. The company confirmed its key figures for 2023/24 from November, according to which earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) adjusted for special effects fell slightly year-on-year to EUR 157 million. Below the line, the Group generated a profit of 72 million euros - compared to 103 million euros a year ago. Thanks in part to the US acquisition of Destaco, a supplier of automation and clamping technology products, turnover increased by 7.5 percent to 1.31 billion euros.
The US bank JPMorgan has upgraded Nokia from "Neutral" to "Overweight" and raised its target price from 4.00 to 6.05 euros. Analyst Sandeep Deshpande wrote in his outlook published on Monday that the earnings estimates for the network equipment provider are beatable, meaning that the share price, which has already performed well in 2024, should continue to rise in 2025. In the coming year, he is primarily counting on growth in the weak investments made by telecom companies in 2023 and 2024.

Delivery Hero: Talabat offer price at the upper end of the range + Telekom awards major contract to Nokia and Fujitsu
The food delivery service Delivery Hero $DHER (-1,45%) has set the offer price for the IPO of its lucrative Middle East subsidiary Talabat at the upper end of the range, as expected. The issue price is 1.60 dirhams (0.41 euros), the MDax-listed company announced in Berlin on Friday morning. A few days earlier, Delivery Hero had already increased the size of its offering due to strong investor demand. Overall, the competitor of Just Eat Takeaway expects the Talabat initial listing to generate gross proceeds of around 1.9 billion euros. The Talabat shares are to be traded on the Dubai Stock Exchange from December 10. In the long term, Delivery Hero intends to indirectly hold a majority stake in the business, which bundles activities in the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East and North Africa. According to earlier statements, the Berlin-based company wants to be represented on the Board of Directors with half of the members and consolidate Talabat in the consolidated financial statements even after the IPO. Talabat intends to pay its shareholders at least one dividend totaling 100 million US dollars for the current fourth quarter next April. For the full year 2025, no less than USD 400 million is then to be distributed. The dividends are then to be paid in two stages per year in October and the following April.
The Deutsche Telekom $DTE (-1,7%) wants to and must rely more heavily on Open RAN (Radio Access Network) in its mobile access network and has therefore acquired Nokia $NOKIA (+10,84%) and Fujitsu $FUJ a major contract for the conversion of over 3,000 antenna sites by 2027. This will also fulfill the German government's requirements for management systems.
