Kratos Defense Exceeds Estimates!
One last one for today ✌️ That’s it from me for now. Starting tomorrow, there’ll be less nonsense from me 😅 But if you have any requests regarding the numbers, I’ll of course still post the occasional update depending on how much time I have 👀
Good night 🫶
Here’s the hot stuff from Kratos Defense & Security Solutions
$KTOS (-0,93 %) (NASDAQ: KTOS) Q2 2026 Earnings Release, delivered fresh on August 4, 2026, after the U.S. market closed:
🚀 Top-Line Performance & Strong Organic Growth
The U.S. defense and drone specialist is blowing past Wall Street’s revenue expectations thanks to extremely high demand in the defense sector:
Total revenue: Climbed by +30.5% YoY to $458.8 million (organic growth was a robust +19.1%). With this result, Kratos significantly exceeded analysts’ estimates of ~$410.4 million!
Kratos Government Solutions (main division): Soared by +36.4% YoY to $379.7 million (organic growth: +22.0%).
Unmanned Systems (Unmanned Systems & Drones): Rise to $79.1 million (+8.1% organic growth).
Book-to-Bill & Order Backlog: Consolidated book-to-bill ratio of 1.1x for the quarter, with order intake (bookings) of $492.2 million. Over the past 12 months, the book-to-bill ratio has been an exceptionally strong 1.3x (1.99 billion USD in bookings).
🔮 Massive earnings surprise (EPS beat)
On the earnings side, Kratos far surpassed analysts’ forecasts:
Adjusted Diluted EPS: Soared to $0.21 (up from $0.11 in the same quarter last year) and smashed the analyst consensus of $0.13 by a whopping 8 cents!
GAAP Net Income: Came in at $4.4 million (USD 0.02 per share). Net income includes significant in-house R&D investments of USD 13.6 million as well as stock-based compensation of USD 16.3 million.
Adjusted EBITDA: Climbed to $38.2 million.
🤖 Major guidance upgrade for full-year FY 2026
Thanks to full order books, management is significantly raising the bar for full-year 2026:
FY 2026 revenue forecast: Raised to $1.750 to $1.810 billion (solidly beating the analyst consensus of $1.745 billion). This corresponds to an expected annual organic growth rate of 18% to 23%.
Q3 2026 Outlook: Revenue is expected to be in the range of $460 million to $480 million .
⚡ 💡 Jack’s Takeaway
A massive beat & raise from the defense and high-tech powerhouse! After more cautious remarks ahead of the quarter, Kratos silences the bears’ skepticism: A massive revenue beat (458.8 million vs. expected 410.4 million USD) and adjusted EPS of 0.21 USD (vs. expected 0.13 USD) underscore the force of the global rearmament wave. With a book-to-bill ratio of 1.3x over the LTM period and an upwardly revised full-year forecast, the growth story in the defense sector is burning brightly!

Kratos Defense
The White House just proposed a $1.5T defense budget with roughly $55B going toward drones and autonomous warfare in 2027 alone.
Sold this company at around $90/share for a minimum loss, this news gave me the conviction to get back in once again
Also paying close attention to $ONDS (-4,77 %) for a re-entry bellow $10
🌍 Middle East escalation moves the markets - capital flees to security & defense

Bitcoin $BTC (-0,14 %) shows surprising stability
- 📈 In the meantime +8,1 %
- 💰 Just over 70,000 dollars

🛢 Oil prices up significantly
- Brent: + just under 6 %
- WTI: + a good 5 %
- In the meantime even +13 %
According to the report, the USA is currently no release from the strategic oil reserve. The market is still considered to be supplied, but the situation remains tense.
