I currently have India accounting for just under 4% of my total portfolio, both through targeted India ETFs $FLXI (-0,8 %) , $INQP (-1,46 %) as well as indirectly through my global ETFs $VWRL (-1,04 %)
$VALLD (-1,21 %) . For me, this is a long-term addition to my portfolio, not a central investment strategy.

The performance so far, however, has been rather sobering and has largely been flat. Nevertheless, I’m sticking to my long-term investment thesis.

India is one of the fastest-growing major economies. The World Bank expects economic growth of around 7.1% for the 2026/27 fiscal year. With nearly 1.5 billion people, a young population, increasing digitalization, and a growing middle class, I see enormous potential for the coming decades.

I also find it fascinating to see how major Indian corporations are positioning themselves internationally. Companies like Tata and Mahindra have long since moved beyond investing solely in their home market; they are acquiring established European companies and gaining global prominence.

However, there are also significant risks. India is heavily dependent on energy and commodity imports, the rupee is under pressure, and foreign investors have recently withdrawn capital. In addition, despite the recent price correction, Indian stocks, with a P/E ratio of around 22, remain significantly more highly valued than those in many other emerging markets.

For me, therefore, the question is not so much whether India will continue to grow economically, but rather whether investors will benefit appropriately from this growth.

I remain invested for the long term, but I’m cautious about making additional purchases given the current valuations.

How do you view India as an investment for the next 10 to 20 years?

Are you already invested, are you currently adding to your positions, or do you prefer to invest in a broadly diversified emerging markets ETF?

I’d be particularly interested to know whether you view the current weakness as a buying opportunity or as a sign of overblown growth expectations.

Hello Getquin Community,

as I have been wanting to thin out my portfolio and make it more compact for some time now, I have been thinking about the best way to do this over the last few days.

I started today, $KO (+2,07 %) sold and exchanged for $MAIN (-0,95 %) exchanged. 🏦 🔄 🥤

The background to this is that I am currently very focused on basic consumer goods and am not yet very well positioned in the area of finance (apart from Visa).

My savings plans for individual shares $SHEL (+2,49 %) , $WM (+1,54 %) , $8001 (+3 %) , $MCD (+0,02 %) , $LIN (+0,86 %) and $ALV (-0,21 %) have been stopped and the positions will be liquidated as soon as they are positive.

Individual stocks that are still being invested in on a monthly basis are $NOVO B (-1,65 %) , $PG (+1,17 %) , $PEP (+1,98 %) , $V (+0,58 %) and $DTE (+0,98 %) due to the currently attractive valuations.

The sum of the removed savings plans is added to the $IWDA (-0,96 %) and $FLXI (-0,8 %) will benefit. I am also adding the $LDGL (+0,18 %) ETF into my custody account as a "cash cow". 💸

What do you think of my restructuring?

Hello dear community, I currently have a 9000€ position in the $QDV5 (-0,66 %) but the running costs are a bit high (0.65%) and I am considering switching to the $FLXI (-0,8 %) (0.19%) and am considering switching to the I would recoup the order costs in the first year by saving on running costs.

Does that make sense? I am 200€ in the red, which creates a good loss pot for the beginning of the year.

My ETF strategy: 3 ETFs as the core for long-term success

After a lot of thought, I have decided to make some changes. I have decided to split my monthly investments into three ETFs that offer a mix of growth, stability and income potential. From now on, I will invest €1000 per month in these three ETFs, with all dividends being automatically reinvested to maximize the compound interest effect.

1.

Fidelity Global Quality Income $FGEQ (-0,59 %)

This ETF focuses on high-quality companies worldwide that pay stable dividends. It provides regular income streams and is less volatile than growth stocks. As I am looking for solid passive income over the long term, this ETF is an important part of my portfolio. All dividends from this ETF are reinvested to further grow the capital.

2.

VanEck Developed Markets Dividend $TDIV (+0,13 %)

Similar to the Fidelity ETF, this one invests in high-dividend companies, but focuses on developed markets. The VanEck ETF helps me to diversify my portfolio even more broadly and ensures regular distributions, which are also reinvested. This allows me to use the dividends as a growth driver without them weighing on the portfolio.

3.

Nasdaq 100 ETF $CSNDX (-2,47 %)

The Nasdaq 100 is my growth driver. It invests in the largest technology and growth companies in the US, which gives me strong leverage to the technology and innovation sector. While the Nasdaq 100 is more volatile than the S&P 500, the potential returns from the tech sector can be very rewarding over the long term. Again, all dividends are automatically reinvested to further increase the growth rate.

My strategy

With this combination of dividend and growth ETFs, I am aiming for a balanced portfolio that offers both stable income and long-term growth. I focus on a long-term investment strategy that grows regularly with monthly investments of €1000. The automatic reinvestment of dividends is intended to maximize the compound interest effect and thus allow the portfolio to grow continuously over the years.

Asia and emerging markets via individual shares

As I want to invest specifically in the Asian and emerging markets, I plan to cover the corresponding proportion via individual shares. I want to focus on high-quality companies that are growing strongly in these regions and offer good long-term earnings opportunities. My favorites: $6861 (+0,08 %)
$TKOMY
$1211 (-0,22 %)
$FLXI (-0,8 %)

Individual shares - focus on quality

I currently own a lot of individual shares (some bought without a plan) and plan to reduce these to a maximum of 20 strong quality shares. I want to consolidate my portfolio and only invest in companies that have high growth and earnings potential and are robust enough to perform well even in difficult market phases.

Conclusion:

With this strategy of the 3 ETFs as core and a careful selection of 20 strong individual stocks, I want to build a well-diversified portfolio that not only provides stable income, but also benefits from global growth in the long term. By regularly investing €1000 per month and reinvesting all dividends, I aim to continuously grow my portfolio and achieve long-term financial security.

I would be delighted to hear your thoughts on my new strategy!

Have a great evening and a successful start to the new week!

LG your Max

Dear community,

I have been a member of getquin for almost 2 months now and I am thrilled with how lively the discussions and contributions are. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to research certain topics and share their knowledge.

I would like to take the opportunity to briefly introduce my portfolio and share my thoughts for 2025.

I have been managing my own investments for 10 years now. I started with ETFs and got into cryptos in 2017 (and got out again after the FTX bankruptcy and the Terra Luna crash). And for a few years now I've also been trading shares and now also real assets (I'm currently testing Timeless). Over the years, I have been able to expand my portfolio.

Due to my family responsibilities, my monthly fixed savings rate is currently €500. I also park monthly surpluses in my call money account and invest them when I see an opportunity. I need a certain amount of cash as we are still renovating and therefore simply need some cash...

My goal is to have at least €500,000 in 10 years so that I can pay off the existing loans on our house. So I would need to generate an annual return of 15%...

Over time, I've built up quite a mix of shares. My credo so far has been not to invest more than €1000 per share (although there have been exceptions) and a stop-loss at 20% below the purchase price. I haven't decided when the best time to sell is and I still don't know which strategy is best for me. I would therefore describe myself more as a hodler...

Now to my plans for 2025.

- I will change the fixed value per share of €1000 and increase it to €5000.

- The stop loss remains in place.

- Keep savings rates at €500 for the time being.

- Reduce the number of shares

- Focus on growth

What could a savings plan look like that I would continue for the next few years?

One point that bothers me is the high proportion of US equities in the global ETFs (cluster risk) - even though this is where most returns have been made historically...

Hence my consideration:

- Save in an ETF with a lower or no USA share (I currently have the following in my portfolio $GERD (-1,04 %) where the USA share is only 50% - unfortunately quite expensive with TER 0.5%; or a new start with a $EXUS (-0,04 %) ) (share: 40%)

- Saving $MEUD (-0,12 %) (20 %), $FLXI (-0,8 %) (20%), $WSML (-0,78 %) (20%)

- S&P500 or MSCI USA via the 2xSPYTIPS of @Epi (via single payments)

- In addition $BTC (-0,1 %) Savings plan of 40€ / week from existing USDC holdings (LTC sales from December) Note: Crypto portfolio cannot be fully mapped in Getquin as the EARN Binance Wallet is not displayed.

What do you think? Does that make sense?

As a next step, am I considering divesting from stocks?

From $OBDC (-2,06 %) I would probably divest myself, possibly also $CSCO (-2,13 %) . Can you think of any other shares or ETFs that would make sense to sell due to low growth prospects? I would then invest the free money in 3xGtaaa and shares like $ASML (-1,11 %) , $NVDA (-1,52 %) ...

Overall, I'm still not sure whether my strategy is quite right. Do you have any ideas, suggestions or comments? I would be grateful for any advice.

Thank you and best regards
