In July, many growth stocks suffered from profit-taking and corrections; my portfolio was dragged down mainly by Rocket Lab’s 30% drop $RKLB (-8,26 %) , though SoftBank $9984 (-10,59 %) and SEALSQ $LAES (-7,47 %) also posted double-digit losses. Otherwise, everything has remained fairly stable. I could imagine that we’ll see another upswing in the fall. If the companies’ business models continue to develop in the right direction, stock prices will inevitably adjust at some point. Sometimes you just need a little patience :)

Thank you Rocket Lab $RKLB (-8,26 %) :)

When I discovered the company two years ago, I was immediately interested. After intensive research, I decided to invest. This conviction has now more than paid off. Back then, everything was just right. Innovative company, technological excellence, moat, regulatory tailwind, megatrend, undervaluation, unknown....

For some time now, however, I have been selling parts of the company, not because I no longer believe in it, but because it is time to make room for potential successors. That doesn't mean that there haven't been many other good investments in the meantime, but I now want to approach things with a little more commitment. I sold about 30% of my RKLB position over the days and about 60% compared to the peak (they still make up 40% of my portfolio lol). With a KUV of 75 for this year, the valuation also seems to be very stretched now.

I now have many new candidates from different sectors and countries, but they all have that certain something in my opinion. Of course, you have to be able to withstand the volatility and the general risk, but the usual pessimists (without any detailed knowledge) also said that Rocket Lab would go bankrupt. My new favorites include:

What are your tenbaggers of the future?

Last Sunday, the Japanese Prime Minister achieved the best election result ever for her party. Her party received almost 70% (!!!) of the vote, which, with the exception of constitutional amendments, gives her the power to "rule through". If you were to translate the election result (just for fun) into the German party system, the CDU, FDP and AfD would have received around 90% of the vote and all left-wing parties together around 10% 😂

The Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 then reached a new all-time high. It is assumed that the defense and tech industries will be strengthened under her government. It wants to create more national champions and at the same time prioritizes national sovereignty. However, tensions with China's communist dictatorship could increase as, unlike her predecessors, she clearly articulates Japan's interests to the Chinese, which they visibly dislike.

What her economic agenda will look like will probably become clear in the coming weeks to months, but I am convinced that the stock markets will benefit significantly. It will probably be a mixture of tax cuts and targeted industrial policy with a focus on high technology.

All in all, I think Japan has made the right decision to combine technology leadership, national sovereignty and security interests. They now have a strong and stable government for the next few years, from which I think we can expect a lot (also for our portfolio) :)

Hello my dears,

Today is Tenbagger Japan Day

After the most important technical innovation of the 19th century, the railroad.

This second Japan Day report is about a new revolution.

I personally consider Yaskawa Electric and Softbank to be great growth stocks. Also in chart terms (@TomTurboInvest ?)

( no investment advice, just my personal opinion).

@PikaPika0105 (Japan shares)

Japan is facing an acute labor shortage due to declining birth rates and an aging population. Therefore, the need for automation and labor-saving solutions is increasing in many industries, and the use of AI and robotics is becoming increasingly important to meet these demands.

While industrial robots are widely used in factories, environments where many people move around - such as offices, hospitals, schools and department stores - require complex decision-making and flexible responses to unpredictable situations, which is a challenge for traditional robots.

To help robots make more complex decisions and expand their range of tasks, SoftBank and Yaskawa Electric have teamed up to improve the functionality of robots.

On December 1, 2025, the two companies announced a collaboration to socially implement Physical AI - a technology that enables robots to analyze and interpret data from sensors, cameras and external systems using AI, allowing them to perform flexible and complex physical movements based on AI-driven decisions.

The partnership combines the high operational performance and precise control of Yaskawa Electric's AI robotics with SoftBank's AI-RAN technology. In the first phase of their collaboration, SoftBank and Yaskawa Electric jointly developed a use case for an office-oriented physical AI robot that is integrated with building management systems and utilizes AI on multi-access edge computing (MEC). This use case enables the integration and analysis of a wide range of information in real time, allowing situations to be precisely assessed and robots to be optimally controlled. This allows robots to flexibly cover a wider range of tasks and realize a "multifunctionality" suitable for office environments.

Yaskawa Electric and SoftBank will demonstrate this use case at Yaskawa's main booth at the International Robot Exhibition 2025 (iREX 2025), which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 3-6, 2025. @EpsEra ( Topic Robotic) to Tokyo.

A weak month, as expected, despite some profit-taking from mid-October - obviously too late.

The main drivers were positions such as Rocket Lab $RKLB (-8,26 %) , SoftBank Group $9984 (-10,59 %) , Tokyo Electron $8035 (-3,02 %) and Kraken Robotics $PNG (+2,39 %) .

A few small positions performed less well, such as Intellego Technologies $INT and Envipco Holding $ENVI (-1,16 %) but these will also pick up again in the medium term.

Yesterday it was announced that SoftBank $9984 (-10,59 %) the robotics division of the Swiss industrial group ABB $ABBN (-1,67 %) for 5.4 billion dollars. This represents the next step in SoftBank's AI strategy, physical AI. ABB thus joins the portfolio of robotics companies such as SoftBank Robotics, Skild AI and Agile Robots. It will be exciting to see in which direction the Group's robotics ambitions will develop.

I have already described here several times this year why I think that the SoftBank Group share $9984 (-10,59 %) is a top pick when it comes to AI. Now the share price confirms this assumption with an increase of more than 150% since April.

What is the reason for the sharp rise? The answer is short and clear: AI. The reorientation towards everything to do with AI in order to "become the number 1 platform provider for AI" has caused the share price to explode.

So many new projects were announced in 2024/2025 that it was impossible to keep up. The 500 billion dollar Stargate project in the USA and the 40 billion dollar financing round for OpenAI were particularly prominent.

Added to this is a strategic investment of 2 billion dollars in Intel $INTC (-5,89 %)the announcement by the portfolio company ARM $ARM (-6,21 %) to switch from pure IP licensing to its own chip design, a JV with OpenAI for enterprise AI in Japan, a JV with TempusAI $TEM (-9,52 %) for medical AI in Japan, a JV with Intel for the development of energy-efficient memory chips (Saimemory) an IPO of the portfolio company and No. 1 fintech in Japan PayPay in New York, the plan together with NVIDIA $NVDA (-1,52 %) to convert the Japanese telecommunications network for AI workloads (AI-RAN), several data centers under construction (independent of Stargate)........ The list could go on and on, but I think the message is clear.

In my opinion, no company is so broadly positioned when it comes to AI. From energy (SoftBank Energy), to the chips used (ARM, Ampere, Graphcore), to the data center as a whole (Stargate, others), to the AI itself (OpenAI) and the AI applications (various). They are active along the entire value chain.

I was also skeptical at first about how to manage all of this at once, also in terms of the sheer amount of work involved, but the first results are becoming visible. SoftBank is building 2 data centers with a capacity of 1.5 GW with OpenAI as part of Stargate. The fact that they are only involved in part of the Stargate data centers and then only with OpenAI is very positive, as I consider the projects on this scale to be very realistic. In addition, there are no conflicts about the technology to be used and SoftBank can clearly favor its portfolio companies in everything.

It will also be interesting to see how the 40 billion financing round progresses. The second half should be invested by the end of the year. With an agreed valuation of 260 billion dollars (plus cash 300), SoftBank should hold around 10% of OpenAI after the financing round. Now that NVIDIA has announced that it will invest 100 billion in OpenAI, although it is still unclear when, how and at what valuation, this is likely to have a massive impact on the value of SoftBank's stake.

The two Vision Funds are also doing well and have recovered from the difficult years. They are now another positive influence on the company's profits. However, they are becoming less and less important as more and more staff are withdrawn from them to work on the AI projects. Fewer new positions are also being added and some older ones are being liquidated.

I am particularly interested in how SoftBank's chip design ambitions will develop over the next few years. Now already in possession of three chip designers (ARM, Ampere Computing and Graphcore), a partnership with Intel (Saimemory) and a strategic stake in the Japanese giga start-up Rapidus, the focus is becoming increasingly visible. How quickly will the restructuring of ARM take shape? Will individual portfolio companies be merged? Will Rapidus, with its impressive interim results, be a success?

These questions will continue to occupy me over the next few years and I will continue to keep a close eye on the milestones achieved so far. The 2030s could definitely be transformative for the SoftBank Group.
