Middle East escalation drives oil and armaments, airlines weak + Boeing considers billion-euro capital increase

Oil stocks benefited from the news of a possible conflagration in the oil-rich Middle East, as this is associated with the risk of a shortage of the raw material. Chevron $CVX (+0,94 %) , Exxonmobil $XOM (+0,74 %) and ConocoPhillips $COP (+0,01 %) gained up to 2.4 percent in New York. In Europe Totalenergies $TTE (-2,14 %) and Eni $ENI (-0,72 %) rose by up to 1.4 percent. In times of war, it is also not unusual for arms manufacturers to see share price gains. In the USA, for example Lockheed Martin $LMT (+3,53 %) and RTX $RTX (+3,63 %) recorded gains of around 2.7 percent in some cases, while in Europe Rheinmetall $RHM (+1,63 %) was particularly popular in Europe, with a rise of more than 5 percent. BAE Systems $BA. (+0,48 %) were 3 percent higher.

The situation was different for shares in tourism groups and airlines. For the latter, the risks of higher kerosene prices are increasing. Some travel destinations may also be canceled for the time being and the risk of terrorist attacks is increasing. Investors in Tui $TUI1 (-1,1 %) saw their share price fall by 2.5 percent. For the share price of Lufthansa $LHA (+0,59 %) fell by more than 2 percent. IAG $IAG (+5,46 %) lost 3.9 percent. Shares in US airlines such as American, Delta and United Airlines fell by up to 2.4 percent.

The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing $BA (+1,21 %) is considering a capital increase in the double-digit billion range in its ongoing crisis, according to insiders. The company is considering issuing new shares worth at least 10 billion US dollars (just under 9 billion euros), the Bloomberg news agency reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter. The fresh money from shareholders is intended to fill the manufacturer's coffers, which are becoming ever emptier as a result of years of ongoing crisis with flight bans and production restrictions as well as the recent strike by tens of thousands of employees. A Boeing spokesperson declined to comment. According to insiders, it is likely to be at least a month before Boeing gets serious about such a capital increase

Low performers, shitcoin collectors, uphill brakers and poolside swimmers!

Now it's time for a little #beerchallenge with me🍻

If you don't want to read it now: I spent two weeks with my boss and the camper including mountain equipment and gravel in the Schweiz🇨🇭 and in Südfrankreich🇫🇷

🇨🇭🇨🇭 SWITZERLAND 🇨🇭🇨🇭

We first headed towards Kandersteg via Freiburg to take a look at Lake Oeschinen. I have to say, it's a beautiful lake with a great panorama!

We then continued towards Lake Geneva to Vevey to dip our big toe in the pond and (unintentionally) take a look at the $NESN (-0,22 %) the headquarters.

🇫🇷 🇫🇷 FRANCE 🇫🇷 🇫🇷

First of all: rejoice you $DG (-0,02 %) shareholders, you got €65 toll from me.

We went to the Verdon Gorge via Grenoble. A bit up and down in just under 3.5 hours.

The next stop was the small coastal town of Hyeres on the Côté d'Azur for a swim and a tan.

Of course, we shopped at $CA (-0,59 %) and refueled at $TTE (-2,14 %) refueling.

Via St. Tropez, Cannes and Monaco, we then headed back home via Lake Maggiore.

After a total of almost 2200km, we had a moderately tasty meal at the lake Dosenbier❤️

The end of the story:

We were on the road for a total of three weeks, drove 2700km and paid around €200 in tolls.

The vacation was good to get away from the hassle of saving money and enjoy life 🫶🏽

Hi investors!

I really want to add to my portfolio a share in the energy sector and an insurance company.🧾

I haven't analyzed any of the shares yet, but some companies that I'm curious about are, for example

I have no idea what the tax situation is in your country, but for me getting dividends from France and Italy would be quite annoying.
However, $CVX is my favourite energy stock anyway and quite cheap right now. I am a long-term investor and I like their post-fossil strategy better than those mainly looking at hydrogen.

I see $EQNR as a very solid dividend and oil stock.

Dividends and share buybacks are part of the company's strategy.

It also has a reliable partner at its side in the form of the Norwegian state, which will continue to push for reliable dividends due to its majority shareholding. In addition, the company not only relies on oil/gas, but also invests diligently in renewables, thus securing a place in the market of the future in contrast to US stocks.

For me, this is currently an opportunity to invest in a stable, *European* oil giant with secure single-digit yields.

Over the next 30 years, I will certainly experience another dozen "bad" days and crashes.

I still don't understand why people talk about a "total loss" when there's a drop of a few % - after things have only gone up. 🙄

There's only one thing I don't understand:
Stocks are too volatile for you, so you buy crypto? 😅

TotalEnergies ($TTE (-2,14 %) ) and SSE ($SSE (+0,97 %) ) have signed a binding agreement to establish a joint venture called "Source" to create a new major player in the field of charging infrastructure for EVs in the UK and Ireland.

"Source" is planning to roll out five years up to 3000 high-power charging stations (150 kW and more) at 300 "EV hubs" in Great Britain and Ireland to be installed. The aim is to achieve a market share of 20% market share.

Feedback sur mon portefeuille

Didn't share because I was waiting for more accurate calculations for my DeGiro account, but those are still wrong even after trying to import it different times with different results.

Recently passed the 100K $ mark!

What's your feedback? What do you think? Am I to risky? Am I doing things wrong by having many short term positions?

A bit info about the portfolio:

The invested capital is actually quite lower than what it says, but problems mostly come from imprecisions from getquit due to a significant amount of transactions and movements in the last year.

Started investing in 2021, then paused in 2022, and started investing much more in 2023! I'm now 22 (going to my 23), and I've been earning my money as self-made programmer, content creator, modeler.

Invested roughly 75K euros over 2 years, I have an agressive investing strategy (if we can call it a strategy)?

My big earners have been:

$NVDA (-0,03 %) in which I started investing-reselling-re-investing since March 2023 at 275$

$MU (-0,29 %) which I started investing in February 2024

$TTE (-2,14 %) which I invested in January 2024

$RBLX which I used for different short terms investments

Currently sitting on roughly 94K €, looking forward to reach those 100K€!!

Looks solid to me… . If your 22 you can take more risk then someone who has a family. And its smart to have a lot of big tech companies that have a lot to do with AI because to me its a new revolution. So keep up the good work buddy!
