The online broker

Flatexdegiro $FTK (+0,45%) is becoming somewhat more optimistic after a strong start to the year. The SDax-listed company announced on Thursday after the end of Xetra trading in Frankfurt that it now expects sales and profits to increase at the upper end of the forecast range. According to the targets published at the beginning of the year, sales are expected to increase by 5 to 15 percent and profits by 25 to 50 percent.

In the first quarter, sales increased by a quarter to 123 million euros. Adjusted for special effects, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased by 177 percent to 54 million euros.

On balance, Flatexdegiro earned 30 million euros, 340 percent more than a year ago.

Turnover and operating profit were better than experts had expected. The share price initially rose on the Tradegate trading platform after the close of trading.

The company is currently looking for a new CEO. At the beginning of the week, it was announced that the current CEO Frank Niehage would be stepping down on April 30 - around a month after major shareholder Bernd Förtsch publicly settled accounts with the manager's work.

Flatexdegiro justified the departure on Monday with

After I sold $FVRR (+1,17%) with -40%, I took the remaining amount, plus my monthly amount for individual shares and put it into $FTK (+0,45%) with it.

My decision for $FTK (+0,45%) is based on the fact that I suspect that many small investors will be very active on the stock market in the first quarter of this year. Nvidia turns up the heat even before the numbers!⤵️

Yesterday, Nvidia with over 8% plus, went out of trading. Reason for this, were some positive rating measures. The share is close to the all-time high and knew only one direction this year. At the beginning of the year, the share stood at 130$ and now stands at just under 470$. Very surprising to me and I congratulate everyone who has been on this great journey. Anyway, Nividia is one of the companies that ran against the market. Just the last week there were big pullbacks. While 2023 is still a positive year (so far), that was quite a big pullback last week. Yesterday, this continued. Of course, this is positive for the bonds.

Also, the Fed stressed yesterday once again, that inflation target of 2%, continues to be the goal and a change in this target, is not necessary.

With the quarterly figures, it is slowly quieter. The big ones have all reported and a few still follow. Among other things, this week is still $NVDA (+0,59%) Nvidia is next. I'm very excited about that. Even though I'm only standing on the sidelines there.

I currently invest only passively in ETFs and continue to accumulate cash. My time is still going into paving my driveway. And there I need probably still 2-3 weeks for. I still have to do my normal job and unlike in many other areas, we currently have a very high order situation in shipbuilding. We now have 15 ships on order and, as purchasing manager, I have a lot to do again. It is still difficult to get some parts or we have very long delivery times. By 2026 the business model of neo-brokers like Trade Republic should be restricted, I think many will switch to Flatex, also I think that the young generally invest much more in shares and the market generally still rises.

I am building up initial positions first

As an Austrian I have to say, Flatex is very pleasant as the only German tax-simple broker. The Austrian providers/banks can't really keep up here in the ETF savings plan area, stock selection and costs.

Considering now before the numbers tomorrow to build a smaller position, because the valuation is relatively low and I expect rather surprise effects.

Since the information is out with 1 million euros fine and they will be regularly controlled in the near future, I consider rather positive .

With a holding period of 2-3 years + you can not do much wrong here (in my opinion ) .

How do you see this ? Also do not plan as an Austrian to change my broker to a Neobroker. Buy basically with rather larger amounts at least 500 + , therefore the costs are fine for me. Am curious about your opinions :) .
