Just over the ticker. The expected reduction in the dividend from $OMV (+1,3 %) was not well received by the market

Vienna (pta023/19/03/2026/15:55 UTC+1)

With regard to the intended combination of Borealis, Borouge and Nova under Borouge Group International AG (BGI), OMV and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have agreed to adjust the planned timing of (i) the listing of BGI shares on ADX, (ii) the exchange offer to the current free float shareholders of Borouge plc to receive BGI shares in exchange for their Borouge plc shares and (iii) the capital increase at BGI level. The timing of the BGI Listing and the Exchange Offer is expected to be aligned with the BGI Capital Increase, which is currently expected to occur in 2027, subject to market conditions.

Furthermore, OMV and ADNOC have agreed on a temporary adjustment of BGI's dividend payments, which will result in a reduction of the dividend payable by BGI to OMV and ADNOC in 2026. The expected impact on OMV's dividend would amount to approximately EUR 0.6-0.7 per OMV share for 2026 (payable in 2027), based on a BGI contribution to OMV's dividend distribution of USD 250 mn instead of the previously assumed USD 500 mn.

Although ADNOC and OMV currently anticipate that the BGI Listing, the Exchange Offer and the BGI Capital Increase will take place in 2027, ADNOC and OMV have also agreed to discuss certain further shareholder support measures in 2027 to the extent necessary to maintain BGI's investment grade rating.

The foregoing is in particular subject to (i) the implementation of the contractual documentation with ADNOC and (ii) approvals by ADNOC's governing bodies.

I was looking for strong companies with decent dividends and a market cap of at least 5 billion. I then made a shortlist from the longlist and $ANDR (-0,44 %) , $TKA (-0,52 %) and $OMV (+1,3 %) took a closer look. If you are interested... take a look at the 15-minute video. I am already invested in Andritz and could imagine getting in. Are you invested?

The WELT editorial team took a look at four dividend pearls from Eastern Europe. Not "gambling houses", but companies that make real profits, have solid balance sheets, a clear business model, are often market leaders and can be traded as normal in Germany.

$KRKG (+0,78 %)
Krka from Slovenia

Pharma with growth without debt. The company has an extremely solid balance sheet and is debt-free. This is an absolute rarity in the pharmaceutical sector. The Slovenians produce generics - in other words, medicines that are always needed. And best of all: since Krka started paying dividends in 2015, they have been able to increase them every year. The current yield is a good five to six percent. One small drawback is that the withholding tax in the country is 25 percent and ten percentage points of this cannot be offset directly.

A little fun fact: anyone who buys Krka shares also becomes a hotel owner. This is because the company also owns one of Slovenia's largest spa and wellness operators, Terme Krka.

$PZU (-0,31 %)
PZU from Poland

The group is the "Alliance of the East", so to speak, and with real market power! PZU is the largest insurer in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe.

The company also owns large stakes in banks, including a 20 percent stake in Bank Pekao. The exciting thing here is the valuation: with a price/earnings ratio (P/E) of 10, the company is valued more favorably than its Western competitors, but is growing in line with the dynamic Polish economy. It grew by more than three percent in real terms last year.

PZU is a real cash machine for income investors. The dividend yield is often between seven and eight percent. This makes the share a heavyweight for the portfolio and not a small second-tier stock. Withholding tax is levied at 19 percent, of which four percent can be reclaimed.

$IGN1L (+0,12 %)
Ignitis Group from Lithuania

The energy supplier from the Baltic States is building large-scale wind farms in the Baltic Sea. The Baltic region is in the process of completely detaching itself from Russia in terms of energy, and Ignitis is the key driver. It is a mix of secure grid operator and aggressive green tech growth.

The figures are right here too: The dividend yield is around six to seven percent and the state is on board as an anchor shareholder.

$SNP (-2,65 %)
OMV Petrom from Romania

OMV Petrom is the largest energy company in south-eastern Europe. The good thing for investors is that Petrom is majority-owned by the Austrian OMV $OMV (+1,3 %) - so you have Western management, but Romanian growth opportunities.

Moreover, OMV Petrom is not just a petrol station. The group is sitting on a huge treasure. The project is called "Neptun Deep" and is a gigantic gas field in the Black Sea, which the company is now developing. This will make Romania the largest gas producer in the EU. That is energy security for the whole of Europe.

The figures are also pretty good. OMV Petrom is flush with cash and often pays a special dividend in addition to the normal dividend. In good years, investors can therefore quickly achieve a return of eight to ten percent.

I would never have thought that my portfolio value would double from €10,000 to €20,000 in just five months. This rapid increase surprised me and prompted me to take a closer look at my investment strategy.

I follow a classic buy-and-hold strategy, as it is ideal for my long investment horizon of 30-40 years as a 20-year-old. My focus is on growth and steady dividends.

As a core, I have the $VWCE (-1,13 %) which should always make up between 30-40% of the portfolio in order to reflect the broad market and capture the average return. I build individual quality stocks with a broad moat around this core, which serve as a yield booster and stability anchor. I also focus on dividend stocks with stable cash flows, dividend growth and growth potential.

As an Austrian $OMV (+1,3 %) my local high-dividend stock in the portfolio, which not only provides me with a nice home bias, but above all a decent dividend cash flow. As the position is currently still very small, I will definitely be adding to it in the near future.

As a small hedge in uncertain times, I have 5% $4GLD (-0,02 %) in the portfolio, not as a yield generator, but as a buffer in times of crisis.

With $ONDS (-4,77 %) I have a small speculative share in the portfolio, which doesn't really fit into my investment strategy and has already become very large. I have already realized the first partial profits and taken out the risk, but due to the outstanding performance I am now simply letting the rest of the position continue to run at a relaxed pace. If it continues to rise, I will again realize partial profits.

The current development of my portfolio confirms that I should remain invested for the long term, even if I am aware that such market phases are not the rule.

I am open to suggestions and questions about my portfolio or my investment strategy.

As always, first the link to the first post, where you will also find the links to all the other parts https://getqu.in/cbIOkg/

Today there are a few more details on the indicators from part 3 https://getqu.in/9XGYtO/

As described in part 3, I start my analysis with the SMA 200 / 50 / 5 daysto get an overview of the trend.

Example $UBER (-1,65 %)

For me, an important setting for the SMA is that I always use the SMA regardless of my chart setting always on a daily basis. daily basis. This means that even if I have set the chart to weekly or 4h, it always shows me the SMA on a daily basis.

Example $UBER (-1,65 %) 1h hour chart - but the SMA are still on a daily basis, not like the default setting, which always refers to the chart - then the SMAs would be calculated on a 200 / 50 / 5 hour basis!

Next, I'll get the VRVP to see the volumes. I have set the chart to the range since Uber has been in an overarching sideways phase.

I can see the price area with the highest volume and the distribution where 68% of the volume has taken place.

My VRVP settings are as follows, I adjust the line size depending on the visible range - the larger the range, the larger the number of lines.

So, I now have a good overview of the trend after a few minutes.

Now it's time to continue with the VWAP. My anchored VWAP I place it in a prominent position for me. In this case the last low before the start of the sideways phase. This is how I see the "DNA" of Uber - How does Uber behave in the statistical areas of the volume-weighted average price.

For my short-term trades, I zoom into the close range, but the anchored VWAP remains. I only switch to the 1 hour chart and the last few months.

The white circles then show potential entries and exits for me. The orange circles at the bottom show the earnings, there's always a lot of movement😁

Of course, I also look in detail at the price action, i.e. the candles per time unit.

In principle, this describes my main procedure for determining the buy/sell point.

That's it 🤷‍♂️ has been working for me for a long time with the outcome as described in part 2 https://getqu.in/TVNdpR/

Because of the overview, I have hidden the VRVP in the VWAP views, but I always leave it on for my analysis.

Example anchored VWAP with VRVP and SMA5 for the short-term trend

Example anchored VWAP with VRVP and VWAP on a weekly basisI can see where the VWAP of the current week has moved. It's also nice to see how and where the big volumes of the week have positioned themselves 😁

So, that's a bit more detail on my setup. As you can see, with a little practice and routing, you can analyze a stock in a short time. For me, such an analysis usually takes no longer than 10 minutes and I know whether a trade makes sense for me and where to place my buy and sell orders.

PS: I have found a clever script on TradingView for some of my stock screener filters. You can always display some criteria live - in the chart at the bottom right

Dear community, I'll provide a link as an example $OMV (+1,3 %)
$HAUTO (-0,54 %)
$BNP (+0,24 %)
$VOLV A (+0,94 %) because they pay good dividends and withholding tax is properly deducted.

If you want to save yourself the hassle of withholding tax refunds, couldn't you just sell the share the day before the ex-date and buy a new one the next day? As a rule, the share price falls by exactly the price of the dividend, sometimes even more. This way you indirectly get the dividend into your home, but you don't have to wait for the next calendar year or deal with the bureaucracy. Of course it's annoying because of the transaction fees, but depending on the volume and broker, these may also be limited. (Incidentally, you can also reduce taxable gains with a long investment horizon in this way, as you remain within the tax-free allowance and therefore do not realize the gains only after ten or twenty years).

I wonder whether this strategy has ever been seriously considered, discussed or even tried out by anyone.

In my case, I will probably try it out in two weeks with OMV, as I currently still hold the share with Revolut, but I am gradually "transferring" my European shares in particular to Trade Republic - not least because Revolut always pays so many fees into its own pocket for dividends and Revolut is also very annoying as a broker in other respects.

I'm curious to know whether you think this plan is completely crazy or somehow sensible. LG

To give me a better overview, I have looked up the publication dates of all the quarterly figures of the companies in which I am invested.

Ps: Does anyone have the dates of the quarterly figures for $SHEL (+2,49 %) ? Unfortunately I can't find them online.

After making my first small investments of a few hundred euros in the stock market in February '25, I added a larger amount in the course of April. It also took some time to develop an investment strategy; where do I want to invest? What risk do I want to take? Accumulating or distributing? ETFs and/or individual shares? If so, which ones and why? Are there specific countries and/or sectors I would like to focus on?

Only at the end of last week were all the answers to these questions clear: a long-term investment horizon of just over 35 years with relatively low risk. A healthy ETF/share mix of 60/40. Distributing portfolio with high-yield and high-growth positions and with a relative focus on the USA and Europe.

I have a good feeling that I am happy with my strategy in the long term and finally no longer have to constantly turn the entire portfolio inside out.

My ETFs and individual stocks are $HMWO (-0,94 %)
