A little insight into what Grandpa buys when the opportunity arises. Today I took advantage of the low at $VAR (-6,35%) and filled my position. I now hold a total of 5000 shares. After the last figures were rather mixed, the outlook for the next 2 years looks much better. As a dividend stock, the share is typically a cross-country runner without major growth ambitions, but with fluctuations that can be used for a trade or, as for me, for an additional purchase to increase cash flow. Strongly positioned in production on the NCS is $VAR (-6,35%) Norway's second largest gas supplier after Europe.
But don't be fooled by the high dividend, the 25% withholding tax in Norway is added on top of the normal deduction in Germany, i.e. only a little less than half of the distribution goes into your account. However, the withholding tax refund for Norway runs quite smoothly and online, the little effort is worth it and within a relatively short time the money is back where it belongs, in my account. I will provide a detailed article with instructions on the refund procedure in the near future.
