Cyber security - the armor of the future

Hello dear Getquin Community,

Over the past few days, I have been working intensively on the topic of cyber security and its fundamental importance in various sectors such as healthcare, technology, energy, armaments & defense, e-commerce, software, insurance, industry, utilities, commodities, banks, fintech, holdings, crypto and blockchain. I took a closer look at the big players, the hidden champions and the essential blade manufacturers in the industry. My aim was to gain as comprehensive a picture as possible of the different levels of this industry.

Cybersecurity is evolving from a marginal topic to the foundation of global markets. Whether healthcare, banking, utilities, armaments & defense, energy, industry or the digital infrastructure for artificial intelligence and blockchain, the need for protection mechanisms is increasing everywhere. While the big players such as $PANW (+0,28%) Palo Alto Networks, $CRWD (+0,69%) CrowdStrike or $ZS (+1,36%) Zscaler are in the spotlight, more and more specialized providers are emerging that are essential in their niches and often have disproportionately high growth potential. Hidden champions such as $SECT B (+1,21%) Sectra in the healthcare sector, $NCNO (-0,77%) nCino in the banking sector or $ESTC (+1,43%) Elastic in the data center show that cyber security has long been a diversified ecosystem. In addition, we must not overlook the blade manufacturers, i.e. the companies that provide the technological basis. These include chip manufacturers such as $NVDA (-3,33%) , $INTC (-1,19%) Intel or $AMD (-7,23%) AMD, data center operators such as $EQIX (+0,2%) Equin$DLR (+0,03%) Digital Realty as well as software and infrastructure providers such as $ESTC (+1,43%) Elastic, $DDOG (+2,57%) Datadog or $ANET (+0,36%) Arista Networks, without whose technology the security providers' solutions would not be scalable. The capital markets are reacting to this with valuation premiums, as the dependence on secure infrastructures is comparable to electrification in the 20th century. Investors are now faced with the question of whether to favor the established market leaders or invest in smaller companies that fly under the radar but could potentially be the real winners of tomorrow.

🔑Takeaway:

Cybersecurity is not an isolated trend, but a key investment factor across all industries from hospitals to data centers from payments to crypto platforms.

Absolutely great. Comes just in time, as I'm also working on this topic. I'll read through it then. 🧐😎

Great overview, thanks dafür🙏🏻 However, you can delete CyberArk and Darktrace. One of them will be taken over (CyberArk) and probably delisted. The others have already been taken over and delisted (Darktrace).

I have also recently looked into the matter in more detail and of course I also find some of my own potential top picks with you wieder👌🏻

Hello my dear,
Once again top.
Somehow $GEN is only very rarely
is mentioned.
Although the share is not uninteresting with a PER of 15 for next year and double-digit growth.
The Avira product even scores quite well in various test reports

@Max095
The share has been moving sideways for some time now. We will have to see where the journey takes us.
I don't think the valuation is bad

Take another look at the multiples.
And analyze them carefully first

As long as there is crime, this issue will grow, especially with the increasing digitalization in all areas.

What about ETF $LOCK ?

@DawidInv
As most people here are looking for individual stock picks, I have deliberately left out the ETFs. However, if you want to make things easier for yourself, $LOCK is definitely a good alternative.

I find the topic interesting, but I think the whole cyber security market is very overvalued, so you won't find any good entry opportunities.

@PikaPika0105
Cyber security has been going sideways for some time now, and I agree with you: the big players in the large cap segment are heavily overvalued, the best example being $CRWD. Nevertheless, with AI hype, databases, cloud business, crypto and blockchain, there is no way around cyber security. I don't think there are many opportunities to make the perfect start. If you are convinced that something works and is needed, you should get in.
imagem de perfil
@EpsEra I usually think so too, but if even the 2029 P/E ratio is still overvalued, I'd rather hope for a consolidation or wait for new players.
