Dear investment friends

What do you think of an investment in Japan? Perhaps as an ETF rather than in individual stocks - and ideally currency-hedged. Do you have something like this in your portfolio, or do you also invest in individual stocks like Nintendo?

The Nintendo share ($NTDOY (-0,43%)) has recently experienced an upswing, which could be linked to possible sales plans by Niantic, the developer of "Pokémon Go". According to Bloomberg, a deal worth 3.5 billion dollars is being negotiated, with Scopely, backed by a Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund, acting as a prospective buyer.

"Pokémon Go" was a real hit in 2016, but has not been able to achieve the same success with new games in recent years. Nevertheless, Niantic's loyal fan base remains an important source of income.

What do you think about the possible sale? Would this affect the future of Niantic and Nintendo? And what could it mean for the share price? 💭📈

Nintendo shares last closed at JPY 11,760.00, up 2.71%. An exciting topic for all those interested in finance!

I just got a fright xD Nintendo shares split 1:10. I was already freaking out and wanted to put everything in. How the emotions can grab you. Habs already read and forgotten again, oh man

For some time now, I have also been considering integrating an ETF in the gaming sector into my portfolio. I think the Van Eck Vector Video Gaming and E Sports ETF has exciting securities: With $700 (+1,12%) ,$N/A and $NTDOY (-0,43%) as well as an issue volume of 670 million euros, it is definitely interesting. What is your opinion? Do you have alternatives in your portfolio? 🎮
