Companies traded on the stock exchange in everyday professional life
Since I am @Simpson nominated, I now grant an insight into listed companies in my daily professional life.
Briefly about me: I am a mathematician and work in the semiconductor industry in a listed company.
Starting with the software: pretty much all computers in the office run Windows and Office from $MSFT (-2,33%). The PC's and the monitors themselves are all from $HPQ (-4,64%) with keyboard and mouse from $LOGN (-3,71%). The telephone system is WebEx from $CSCO (-3,45%) and the work phones are from $AAPL (-6,95%) with $DTE (-4,47%) contract (and that although next door $VOD (-7,27%) sits). In addition, there are large monitors in each conference room from $DELL (-6,27%).
In the production of the semiconductors itself there are of course many machines from $ASML (-2,09%), $CAJ (-5,51%) and $7731 (-6,32%). The many industrial gases needed come from $LIN , $AI (-0,98%) and $4091 (-2,44%). The basic material and chemicals come among others also from $WCH (-7,57%) and $BAS (-4,99%).
The purchasers of the finished chips then include, for example. $VOW3 (-4,36%) , $BMW (-5,51%) , $MBG (-5,9%) and $TM (-5,19%). But also $V (-6,76%), $AAPL (-6,95%) and $SMSD (-2,54%) are customers.
I have certainly forgotten a lot, but as an insight it should be enough I think.
I nominate @DonkeyInvestor , @GoDividend and @Divmann (sorry if someone has already been nominated, I don't have an overview anymore).
