12Momentum Strategy Review: August 2026 - Recovery Following the July Setback 📈
Hello everyone,
After a significant setback in July, the Momentum strategy got back on track in August. Both models ended the month in the black and recouped some of their previous losses.
📊 The hard facts
- Starting capital for August: €36,932.70
- Ending capital in August: €42,041.07
- Absolute gain: +€5,108.37
- August performance: +13.83%
- YTD performance: +69.20%
- CAGR over the last 365 days: +121.54%
- CAGR since inception (10/2023): +79.04%
📈 Performance of individual strategies
🇺🇸 US Momentum Leaders (wikifolio $DE000LS9VVV3 (-4,36%) )
- Monthly performance: +18.30%
- Capital gain: +4,248.47 €
🌍 Global 1200 Momentum Leaders (wikifolio $19021982 (-3,63%) )
- Monthly performance: +6.27%
- Capital gain: +859.90 €
In August, the stronger performance contribution came from the U.S. model, while the Global 1200 model, though performing significantly more moderately, also contributed positively to the overall result.
🔄 Rebalancing for September
There are no changes to the allocation of either model.
🇺🇸 US Momentum Leaders Top 3 Ranking
SanDisk (SNDK)
Dell Technologies (DELL)
Micron Technology (MU)
The current allocation therefore remains:
✅ SanDisk (SNDK)
✅ Dell Technologies (DELL)
🌍 Global 1200 Momentum Leaders – Top 5 Momentum Ranking:
SanDisk (Score: 202.27%)
Kioxia (Score: 140.72%)
Dell Technologies (Score: 112.77%)
Micron Technology (Score: 109.93%)
Ibiden (Score: 101.54%)
The allocation remains unchanged:
✅ SanDisk (SNDK)
✅ Kioxia Holdings
Conclusion:
August shows that even after significant drawdowns, a rule-based momentum strategy can quickly regain momentum. With a monthly return of +13.83% , part of the July losses were recouped without requiring any adjustments to the rules or extraordinary interventions.
The rankings remain very stable. As long as SanDisk, Dell, Micron, and Kioxia can maintain their relative strength, there is currently no reason for rebalancing.
🚀 The rule set remains unchanged. The data decides.

Can anyone tell me why the spread on @Krush82 Global Momentum $DE000LS9VVV3 (-4,36%) averages 1.8–2.2%, while @Epi 's Gtaa $DE000LS9U6W1 (+3,65%)
consistently hovers around 0.5–1.0%?
I’m with JustTrade, and this really annoys me—
is it different with SB+?
Krush's Global Momentum apparently holds stocks with a higher spread than the 3xGTAA does with its ETFs.
June 2026 Monthly Review
Even bad months are part of the process.
June was the weakest month of the year, with a return of -9.99%. 📉
This was driven by the following stocks, which not only had a very bad month but are also among the largest positions in the portfolio:
$ONDS (-0,87%) down 37% 📉
$IREN (-3,56%) at -27% 📉
$PNG (-2,49%) down 21% 📉
$ETH (-0,4%) down 19% 📉
$BTC (-0,37%) down 17% 📉
…and a few others. The list of losers is long in June.
The following stocks, in particular, saved me from a double-digit negative return: $DE000LS9VVV3 (-4,36%) from @Krush82 as well as my own EU AI Backbone strategy.
Hopefully, the coming month will be better.
June Update on Momentum Strategies: New All-Time High and +27.92% Monthly Performance 🚀
Hello everyone,
June was an exceptionally strong month for the momentum strategy. Both models posted significant gains, driving the overall strategy to a new all-time high.

- Starting capital in June: €47,732.0
- Ending capital in June: €61,156.93
- Absolute gain: +€12,908.33
- Performance in June: +27.92%

Both models contributed almost equally to the overall performance in June.
Particularly encouraging is the continued strength of the Global-1200 model, which, following its strong start in May, also delivered solid results in June.
🔄 Allocation/Rebalancing for July
There are no changes in either model for July. The current allocation remains unchanged:
US Momentum Leaders
✅ SanDisk (SNDK)
✅ Micron Technology (MU)
Global 1200 Momentum Leaders
✅ SanDisk (SNDK)
✅ Kioxia Holdings
However, the stock pool for both models was recalculated at the mid-year mark.

What stands out is the strong dominance of companies in the sectors of data storage, semiconductors, and AI infrastructure. Furthermore, the rankings of both models overlap significantly, even though the Global 1200 model searches globally and the Wikifolio focuses exclusively on the U.S. market. This currently points to exceptional strength across the entire storage and data infrastructure sector.
Conclusion
June saw a monthly return of +27.92% one of the strongest months since the strategy’s launch. Both models once again delivered strong contributions and confirmed the advantages of the two-pronged approach.
With a YTD performance of +141%, a 365-day CAGR of +285% and a portfolio value of over €61,000 , the momentum strategy remains on a growth trajectory.
And don't tell your wife—otherwise, you can kiss the compound interest effect goodbye! 😅
The second wikifolio followed immediately - US Momentum Leaders
I was also unable to resist joining the wikifolio of @Krush82 I could not resist.
Small update
A year later, a lot has changed in the portfolio - not just a year older 🫣 😉
My strategy is now a core satellite strategy. Whereby the core ($VWCE (-0,67%) , $TDIV (+0,17%) and $EIMI (-1,84%) is). The satellites are a mix of $BTC (-0,37%) , $EWG2 (-1,57%) , $SSLN (-5,42%) and momentum models such as $DE000LS9U6W1 (+3,65%) and $DE000LS9VVV3 (-4,36%) . I have currently stopped my savings plans, as I have added to them over the last few months when prices were a little lower. And I am currently 85% invested with my assets. However, I would like to invest another €5k in the momentum models, which are already on the broker and limit orders have been set (so that I reach roughly 10% with the momentum models). In addition, my plan with $BRK.B (+0,2%) has not worked out at the moment, as I still have a loss pot of just under 700€. So I'm still holding on, and as soon as that is reached, the amount will be invested in the other positions.
✌️
1st milestone
I'm 26 years old and have been working for 8 years, but have only been investing for just under 4-5 years. Let's see how it goes and when I'll be back under six figures, probably won't take that long with the rollercoaster ride 😅
Feedback on the portfolio is also welcome. :)
It took a long time.
Finally the certificate from @Krush82 finally made it into my portfolio 🤝🚀
$But my $1211 (-3,28%) position had to give way.
Let the games begin!
As promised, I'm starting my own little sub-challenge today.
There is no clearer result than in the direct duel between the two from @Epi and @Krush82 and sophisticated strategies that have been successfully running in wikifolios until shortly after the birth of Christ. And multibagger small and midcaps trading.
I am starting with the following stocks:
$MGN (-1,68%) 100 shares at €2.79
$DGX (-3,04%) 50 pieces at 3,80$
$SPIR (-2,28%) . 15 pieces at 17,75$
$BB (-2,26%) 50 pieces at 5,75$
I still have a little remaining capital for a possible 5th value.
got 4 pieces at 219.84. Since I could not buy any fractions, it did not become 1000€ at @Epi
got 6 pieces for 156.35. @Krush82
Since it is based on the % performance, it is of secondary importance exactly how much money was invested in the individual position.
If there are changes in my share, I will present them here transparently.
So now good night everyone.
New challenge project!
Don't worry, it's just a new sub-custody account that I've just opened within my overarching 100k project, which I'm going to let run and populate by reallocating existing funds.
In total, I will initially shift approx. 15% of my total current portfolio volume to it.
In each case 5% (approx. 1000€) will be invested in the Wiki Zertis of @Epi and @Krush82 will flow. I will actively trade the remaining 5%. I will continue to focus on small and mid caps. For the sake of fairness, I will do without KO certificates and use factor certificates when leveraged.
I find it exciting to actually try out under the same conditions whether it is possible to beat 2 strategies tested in this way with active trading.
So Monday is the start, if I manage to implement everything there. The securities account will be with Flatex. It's not cheap, but it's easier for me than opening an account with SBroker.
I'm curious to see how I perform against you with my minimally diversified single stock momentum.
My tip for May-December 2026:
1. @Krush82
2. @Multibagger
3. @Epi
