Here’s the hot news from Cboe Global Markets $CBOE (+0,92 %) (BATS: CBOE) Q2 2026 Earnings Release, fresh off the press before the U.S. markets open on July 31, 2026:

🚀 Top-Line Performance & Volume Booster

Cboe Global Markets $CBOE delivered a massive +25.0% year-over-year increase in net revenue in the second quarter of 2026. The exchange operator thus exceeded Wall Street’s expectations across the board. This record quarter was driven primarily by the ongoing hype surrounding index options (SPX, XSP) and sustained high trading activity among market participants.

🔮 Segment Strength & Record in Derivatives Trading

The individual segments demonstrate that the exchange infrastructure is benefiting fully from volatility and retail/institutional trading:

Derivatives Division: Net revenue surged by +30% year-over-year—driven by another historic record quarter in index options trading volume.

Cash & Spot Markets: Strong growth in the cash markets resulted in a +22% year-over-year increase in net revenue.

Cboe Data Vantage: The highly profitable data and analytics division also posted double-digit growth and is solidifying its recurring revenue.

🤖 Earnings Explosion & Margin Star Performer

The bottom line is that the highly scalable exchange model is churning out fantastic numbers:

GAAP earnings per share (diluted EPS) climbed by a massive +50.0% year-over-year.

Adjusted diluted EPS rose by a robust +45.0% year-over-year.

Thanks to tight cost control and perfect operational scaling, nearly every additional dollar of trading revenue goes directly into net income.

📈 Raised 2026 Full-Year Forecast

Forecast Upgrade: Management is significantly raising the target for organic net revenue growth for the full year 2026—now to “mid to high teens” (+15% to +19%, previously low double-digit to mid teens).

Cost Control: Adjusted operating expenses for 2026 are confirmed at a disciplined range of $838 million to $853 million.

⚡ 💡 Jack’s Take

The casino always wins! Whether markets rise or fall: as long as people are trading, hedging, and speculating, Cboe keeps the cash flowing. +25% net revenue, +45% adjusted EPS growth, and a significantly raised full-year forecast show that Cboe, as the monopoly holder for SPX options, holds an absolutely unassailable position in the U.S. market. An absolutely flawless quarter!”

It's about time! I can finally open a first $CBOE (+0,92 %) open a first tranche. The share has been on my watchlist for what feels like forever. 🥹

I have no idea why the share price has fallen so sharply in recent weeks, but I'm grateful for the opportunity. 🙏🏽🙇‍♂️

and the share continues to run away from me 😭

The company's Options segment achieved record sales of USD 467.6 million, an increase of 33% year-on-year. This growth was driven by a 10% increase in average daily trading volume and a 21% increase in revenue per contract for multi-listed options.

Turnover in North American equities increased by 18% to USD 111.2 million, while turnover in the Europe and Asia-Pacific region rose by 32% to USD 84.9 million.

Hello everyone ✌️

hope you are fully recharged after Easter 🐣! In line with the current unrest on the markets and the current volatility, I would like to introduce you today to a stock from my watchlist that I'm sure many of you haven't seen yet: Cboe Global Markets $CBOE (+0,92 %)

$CBOE (+0,92 %) is the "casino" that always wins, regardless of whether prices rise or fall, as long as there is movement in the market.

CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange) $CBOE (+0,92 %) is not a traditional stock broker. The company is one of the world's largest operators of investment exchanges and creators of derivative products. They are active where volatility is converted into cash.

1. the business model: "The Home of Volatility" 🎯

Cboe $CBOE (+0,92 %) pursues a strategy of indispensable infrastructure:

- Focus: You own the exclusive rights to trade options on the S&P 500 ($SPX) and the VIX (fear barometer). Anyone wishing to trade these must go through Cboe $CBOE (+0,92 %) .

- Diversification: In addition to the US options market, they are aggressively expanding into the Global Data & Access Solutions and the digital asset market.

- Scalability: Once the trading platform is up and running, each additional trade costs the company next to nothing - this ensures huge margins.

-The "global expansion" strategy 🌍

Cboe $CBOE (+0,92 %) has built up a strong presence in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region in recent years through acquisitions (such as Chi-X). This means for $CBOE (+0,92 %) :

- 24/5 trading: Global infrastructure that enables trading around the clock.

- Data monetization: You sell the trade data, which provides a recurring source of revenue regardless of the weather.

2. the key figures 📊

- Market capitalization: approx. USD 21 - 23 billion.

- Share price: Current share price approx. USD 295

- P/E ratio (P/E ratio): approx. 21 - 24

- Operating margin: Is consistently at an impressive 35 - 40 %.

- Growth: Double-digit growth in "Data & Access" sales in particular, reducing dependence on pure trading volume.

🚀 Net revenue growth (2025):
+17% (A record year!)

- 💰 Adjusted EPS Growth (2025):
+24% (Profit grows faster than sales - a sign of high efficiency).

- 🔥 Derivatives power: The segment recently grew by 38% (Q4 2025), driven by the massive trend towards 0DTE options (options with 0 days to maturity).

- 📊 0DTE factor: Over 50% of the volume in SPX options now comes from these ultra-fast trades.

Highlights from recent reports:

3. why is the share exciting? 🚀

1. The volatility hedge: When markets get nervous, VIX and hedging trading volumes increase. $CBOE (+0,92 %) The investor often earns the most when others are losing. ✅

2. Moat through exclusivity: SPX options licenses are a money-printing machine that competitors like Nasdaq or NYSE can't simply copy. ✅

3. 0DTE hype: The trend towards short-term day trading with options is driving transaction numbers up massively. ✅

4. Recurring revenues: Over 30% of revenue now comes from data sales and technical access - making the business more crisis-proof. ✅

5. Strong cash flow generation: Cboe regularly buys back its own shares, strengthening shareholder value. ✅

4. risks ⚠️

- Regulatory risk: New rules for options trading or short selling could affect volumes. ❗️

- Competition in equity trading: There is a fierce price war with other exchange operators in the pure equity spot market. ❗️

- Dependence on market phases: In extremely calm "sideways markets", investors' appetite for volatility products declines. ❗️

5. my personal conclusion & analysts Rating✍️

Cboe Global Markets $CBOE (+0,92 %) has successfully transformed itself from a pure floor trading pioneer into a global technology powerhouse technology powerhouse. The company occupies a key strategic position in the modern financial architecture that goes far beyond simple share trading.

They have secured a market position that is as well protected as a fortress - thanks to intellectual property and exclusive rights. If you like quality, you can hardly avoid them. The company is a real cash machine that feeds its shareholders with dividends and buybacks, while technology drives growth in the background.

Analyst Rating: The majority of Wall Street analysts rate the stock as an "Outperform" or "Strong Buy" . They particularly emphasize the attractive valuation compared to competitors such as the CME Group $CME (+0,26 %) despite its often superior innovative strength in the area of small investor products.

Hey, GQ crew ✌️

My first post since I got kicked out about 4 weeks ago—who would’ve thought that showing solidarity with one of the members (@Klein-Anleger ) would lead to a ban so quickly? But getquin’s generosity was so BIG (and, most importantly, “on a trial basis”) that they graciously let me back into the holy grail of the GQ community 😉

So guys, learn from my mistakes: The leniency here isn’t an “infinite money” glitch! Save your solidarity for later, keep your support for other members at zero, and most importantly 🚨: No sneaky advertising for alternative financial platforms like “Cisdord” 😉😂.

Sorry, that little dig after four weeks away was a must 🤝

But joking aside…

⏳The first three months of 2026 have passed. Time for a brief interim assessment of the current status of my portfolio rebuild.

Before I started rebuilding my portfolio, I naturally thought about what strategy I wanted to pursue in the coming months and years—especially with regard to stock selection and weighting.

To be honest, my original plan was to maintain a portfolio with a maximum of 20 stocks. As things progressed, however, I realized that it probably wouldn’t stay at 20—the number is more likely to rise to around 30 positions (+/-)—

♟️My Focus & Strategy:

To put it simply: The clear focus is on growth 🚀. Dividends play a rather secondary role here. Here, I’ll show you my shopping list—or rather, what my portfolio should look like in the future. The stocks I’ve already bought are marked with a green checkmark; those without a checkmark are ones I’m still waiting on ⏳

Given the global political situation—especially because of that 🍊 in the White House, whose tweets cause more tsunamis 🌊than actual natural disasters—and the current drawdown in the S&P 500 (which is actually working out great for me right now and bringing me a lot of joy 🤩), I’m consequently in the red on some of my purchases so far 💦🫧.

But hey, we’re investing for the long term, after all, right? So, taking it easy, keeping it chill 🥱 I’ll most likely hold off on making any more purchases for the time being over the next few days or weeks, park my cash elsewhere or put it in a money market account, and wait to see where the market settles or wait for it to stabilize.

What do you guys have on your watchlist?

Are you sitting on the sidelines right now, or how are you handling the current situation?
