And it continues, this time with $CHWY (-1.26%) which has only recently found its way into my portfolio:

Morgan Stanley $MS (-2.1%) has left the rating for Chewy (NYSE: CHWY) to 'overweight'. The price target is $51.00 after $48.00 previously.

Unfortunately, I am not able to provide details on the rationale here.

An interesting assessment of $CHWY (-1.26%) was also found in an insight from Deutsche Bank $DBK (-0.73%) :

After several years of using excess capacity to increase margins, where do investors still find potential for margin improvement in 2026, and where do we expect the most solid return on investments to be scaled this year?

$CHWY (-1.26%) has the clearest path to incremental margin expansion within our universe of observations as the company moves out of the peak investment phase in 2025.

... and that was almost certainly the last one of the year.

As announced, a short post about the last two (actually only one was planned, but what does the world cost😅) purchases I made this year.

I ordered today, in my usual entry-level sizes in total:

13x $NPN (+0.55%)

and

27x $CHWY (-1.26%)

For those who don't know Naspers: a South African holding company that, through its majority-owned subsidiary $PRX (+0.27%) significant shares in, among others $700 (+0.36%) , $DHER (-0.39%) and $MMYT (-6.49%) among others. It also has an extensive investment portfolio in South Africa. The corporate structure is well established (anyone interested in international corporate law or ways to successfully counter hostile takeovers should really take a look at it😅), but above all, in my view, the company holds predominantly strong investments and only invests very selectively in new investments. The shareholder return is excellent! Since direct investments in China and India are otherwise usually difficult or even impossible and I would rather entrust my money to a South African holding company that is over 100 years old than to major American banks (no hate, just healthy skepticism about ADRs and the like), my choice fell on Naspers.

Just this much about Chewy: in my view, a tempting entry valuation. Strong in the pet food market in the USA across all price segments, online trading, subscription model with a (again) significantly growing number of users. My Everyday pet supplement to $ZTS (-1.38%) quasi.

Maybe also something for @Max095 😉.

Is anyone here also pet lovers and has $CHWY (-1.26%) in the depot or on the watchlist or is considering an entry?

I believe through their small Automated warehouses , automated packaging, the variety of offerings and opportunities in the insurance/healthcare space, a very exciting company.

The industry is currently suffering very strongly from high inflation and consumer behavior, also the strong competition from Amazon and Walmart is an issue, but also believe that this offers opportunities and will clean up the market somewhat.

The $900 million in liquidity should also help.

Expansion Canada starts, costs, but is certainly good for growth.

After the sharp decline, I will probably double my position soon.

And if that's not exciting enough, the company name alone is worth buying 🤣.
