Everyone likes to show off their profits, but today I'm sharing my losses—completely transparently.

I'm going to hold onto my shares in $EYPT (-5,13%) anyway; I know @Multibagger was also an investment.

That’s just how it goes on the stock market.

After our latest speculation, which $NEOV (+3,21%) a gain of over 100%, the stock is now plummeting today.

Here’s the company announcement:

EyePoint Announces Strategic Prioritization

October 19, 2026

WATERTOWN, Massachusetts, October 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EyePoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: EYPT), a company dedicated to the development and commercialization of innovative therapies to improve the quality of life for patients with severe retinal diseases, announced a strategic realignment today. The goal is to reduce operating costs and focus resources on the advanced development program for DURAVYU™ in diabetic macular edema (DME). This strategic realignment follows the results of the Phase 3 LUCIA study of DURAVYU in wet AMD, which were released today. The primary non-inferiority endpoint was not met, despite improvements in visual acuity and the achievement of key secondary endpoints such as reduced treatment burden, substitution-free rates, anatomical control, and safety with repeat dosing.

To secure capital and maximize shareholder value, the Board of Directors has approved a plan to reduce the workforce by approximately 53% and to prematurely terminate the pivotal Phase 3 trials for wet AMD without fully completing the second year of the trials. EyePoint plans to prioritize the development of DURAVYU as a potential treatment for DME. The first results from the pivotal Phase 3 trial are expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.

EyePoint thanks all employees affected by these measures for their dedication and contribution to the company’s mission. While today’s setback in the clinical trial underscores the challenges of drug development, it does not diminish the team’s achievements or the company’s commitment to improving the quality of life for patients with severe retinal diseases.

Key Financial and Operational Updates

• Cash Conservation: The strategic prioritization and associated operational adjustments are expected to yield annual savings of approximately $30 million.
• Workforce Reduction: Affects approximately 53% of positions company-wide. The majority of the workforce reduction is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2026 and be completed in the first half of 2027.
• Clinical Prioritization: The organization is focusing on the clinical development of DURAVYU for the potential treatment of DME. Results from the pivotal Phase 3 trials are expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
• One-time charges: The company estimates total charges of approximately $9 million related to termination benefits, including severance pay and other associated costs.

“Decisions that involve workforce reductions are extraordinarily difficult, and we sincerely thank our departing colleagues for their dedication and valuable contributions. Even though the volatility inherent in clinical development presents significant challenges, our core mission remains unchanged: We are overcoming these challenges to develop sustainable therapies that can significantly improve patients’ lives,” said Jay S. Duker. “This strategic prioritization allows us to focus on our next milestone: the pivotal Phase 3 trial evaluation for diabetic macular edema (DME). This will evaluate DURAVYU’s potential as a durable, long-term treatment option that safely reduces the burden of injections for patients. The DME program is supported by positive Phase 2 data from the VERONA study, which demonstrate sustained visual acuity and a supplement-free rate of over 70% of patients over six months. DURAVYU also enables continuous intracellular drug release that targets the pan-VEGF, PDGF, and IL-6 signaling pathways, thereby addressing both the vascular and inflammatory causes of the disease. Given the nature of this disease, DURAVYU is therefore a particularly promising potential treatment option.”

EyePoint estimates that it has approximately $118 million in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments as of September 30, 2026. The

About the Phase 3 DME Program

The Phase 3 program for diabetic macular edema (DME) includes COMO and CAPRI, two global, randomized, double-blind, aflibercept-controlled non-inferiority studies designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of DURAVYU 2.7 mg in patients with active DME. A total of 551 patients participated in the studies, of whom approximately 75% were treatment-naive and 25% were pretreated. Patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio and received either 2.7 mg of DURAVYU every six months or aflibercept every eight weeks, as approved, as the control treatment.

The primary endpoint is non-inferiority with respect to the mean change from baseline in best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) at the combined 52- and 56-week time points. Secondary endpoints include safety, superiority in terms of reducing treatment burden, the proportion of eyes without additional aflibercept injections, and anatomical outcomes measured by optical coherence tomography (OCT). For more information, see www.clinicaltrials.gov (COMO: NCT07449936; CAPRI: NCT07449923).

About Diabetic Macular Edema

Diabetic macular edema (DME) is the leading cause of vision loss in people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It occurs when damaged blood vessels in the retina leak fluid into the macula, the central area of the retina responsible for sharp vision. The resulting retinal swelling can lead to blurred vision and severe vision loss, including blindness. The pathophysiology of DME is multifactorial and involves vascular permeability as well as inflammatory processes mediated by signaling pathways such as VEGF, PDGF, and interleukin-6 (IL-6).

Diabetic macular edema (DME) affects an estimated 28 million people worldwide, and its prevalence is expected to rise as the global prevalence of diabetes increases. Current treatment options for DME patients include short-acting intravitreal anti-VEGF biologics, corticosteroids, and laser photocoagulation. Since DME is a chronic condition affecting an active population, the need for frequent treatment can place a significant burden on patients, caregivers, and physicians and contribute to under-treatment in clinical practice.

About DURAVYU™

DURAVYU™ (vorolanib insert for intravitreal administration) is a controlled-release therapy currently in development for patients with severe retinal diseases. DURAVYU combines vorolanib, a selective and patented tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), with EyePoint’s proprietary, next-generation biodegradable Durasert E™. This innovative IVT (intravitreal) technology ensures continuous drug release for at least six months without free drug particles.

DURAVYU offers a potentially novel mechanism of action and a new treatment paradigm for retinal diseases that goes beyond existing therapies with VEGF ligand blockers. Vorolanib acts intracellularly by suppressing angiogenesis through the inhibition of all VEGF receptors and PDGFR, while simultaneously inhibiting inflammation by blocking interleukin-6 (IL-6)/JAK1 signaling. Furthermore, vorolanib demonstrated in an in vivo model of retinal detachment.

DURAVYU has been evaluated in several clinical trials for wet AMD and DME, including the Phase 2 DAVIO 2 trial and the Phase 3 LUGANO and LUCIA trials for wet AMD, as well as the Phase 2 VERONA trial for DME. DURAVYU is currently being evaluated in the ongoing Phase 3 COMO and CAPRI studies for DME. In six completed clinical trials—including three Phase 2 and two Phase 3 studies—no drug-related safety concerns were observed in over 630 patients.

The Phase 2 VERONA study in diabetic macular edema (DME) met its primary and secondary endpoints and demonstrated rapid and sustained improvement in visual acuity and anatomical features, as well as a consistently favorable safety and tolerability profile with dosing intervals superior to those of standard therapy. Key data from the Phase 3 program for DME are expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2027.

For anyone interested, here is the monthly update as of September 30. I’ll be wrapping up this project at the end of this month. My conclusions follow at the end.

For comparison, I’m including the change from Month 1.

Start. Current Change € %

Total performance: 42.3% for Multibagger

Conclusion:

The strategies of my two competitors are also subject to significant fluctuations. However, they are much more sophisticated and thoroughly tested than my gut-feel strategy. In contrast to @Krush82 I did exactly the opposite and focused solely on small-caps in this challenge. To be fair, I refrained from using derivatives.

What struck me is that @Krush82 the Wikifolio I chose as my opponent—which focuses exclusively on two momentum stocks at a time—has suffered above-average losses in a weaker overall market, contrary to my expectations. I would have thought that stocks with positive momentum would be more resilient.

As for @Epi I have to say that, certainly due to leverage, he sometimes lacks the ability to swap out stocks even within the same month. I’d be interested to know if you’ve ever tested time frames shorter than a month in any of your backtests?

That brings us to the multibagger. My strategy in this challenge is about as far from scientific as Earth is from Mars. So the 42% is pure luck. No, there’s definitely work and time that went into it. Luck is more about those few really great trades where I timed the entry and exit pretty much perfectly. I executed a total of 44 trades. But—and this is, of course, also part of the truth—the majority of my trades ended up in the red and were closed out after a relatively short time with small losses. However, the trades that did play out were, in some cases, outstanding.

So, I wish my two challengers continued success. I’ll keep following along. Over the past few weeks, I’ve reduced the number of positions in my portfolio by about a third. I’ll be holding onto the positions most recently held in the challenge portfolio for the long term.

Investing.com -- The stock of NeoVolta fell 11.0% to $2.82 in after-hours trading after the company reported disastrous results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, which caught the market off guard on virtually all key metrics.

Fourth-quarter revenue totaled only about $13,500—a fraction of the consensus estimate of $2.08 million. At the same time, the quarterly loss per share of $0.24 was more than three times higher than the $0.07 loss forecast by analysts. Management attributed the drop in revenue to a sharp decline in sales to retail customers and through traditional distribution channels for installers. This was triggered by changes in national tax law that took effect at the beginning of the 2026 calendar year.

The full-year results put additional pressure on investor sentiment. Although revenue rose 58% to $13.3 million in fiscal year 2026, the net loss under GAAP increased to $21.5 million, or $0.55 per share, compared to a loss of $5.0 million in the prior year.

Compounding the problem was the fact that the number of shares outstanding rose from approximately 34.1 million to about 58.3 million over the course of the fiscal year. This significant dilution weighed on per-share metrics and raised questions regarding the pace of share issuance relative to operational progress.

The general market environment was unable to cushion the decline in the stock price. The S&P 500, the Dow Jones, and the Nasdaq all closed the regular trading session virtually unchanged. This means that the after-hours sell-off in NEOV was driven exclusively by company-specific news and not by macroeconomic or industry-wide headwinds. The stock had opened near its opening price of $3.40 and reached an intraday high of $3.44 before the quarterly results were released.

NeoVolta

Taken together, the disastrous revenue shortfall in the fourth quarter, the widening annual losses, and the significant increase in the number of shares created a perfect storm for after-hours sellers. The stock is now trading at $2.82—well below its 52-week high of $7.13, but still above its 52-week low of $1.36. Investors will now be paying close attention to the company’s outlook on how quickly it can rebuild its commercial pipeline as it shifts away from its now-disrupted consumer business.

Part 3: The Five Categories in Practice

What This Part Is About

In Part 1, I described the origins of the 55555 system. Part 2 showed how an initial stock idea is transformed into a well-reasoned decision through research, cross-checking, and comparison. Now we’ll look at the practical side: What is the purpose of the five categories, A through E; which stocks are currently included in them; and why do they fit exactly where they are?

Part 2: https://app.getquin.com/de/post/urkWClbvSy/teil-2-wie-ich-versuche-menschliche-anlageentscheidungen-mit-einem-strukturierten-ki-research-und-control-system-zu-verbessern

Part 1: https://app.getquin.com/de/post/eJXKfiMMiJ/wie-ich-versuche-menschliche-anlageentscheidungen-mit-einem-strukturierten-ki-research-und-control-system-zu-verbessern

The categories are not a ranking from safe to risky. Each serves a different function.

A forms the broad foundation. B is intended to provide ongoing cash flow. C seeks quality growth. D allows for limited asymmetric opportunities. E is intended for tactical situations, events, and special cases. Therefore, what matters is not only whether a company is interesting, but what role it is meant to fulfill within the overall system.

The following chart shows the current confirmed portfolio following the addition of AeroVironment. It deliberately does not include share counts, portfolio values, absolute position sizes, purchase volumes, or absolute gains and losses. The goal is to make the system transparent without disclosing personal financial data.

Category A: The Broadly Diversified Foundation

Category A consists of 5 ETFs.

This tier is not intended to identify the most exciting individual stocks, but rather to stabilize the portfolio, provide broad coverage of regions and companies, and reduce dependence on individual investment theses.

Therefore, there is no mechanical price limit for Category A.

The key factors are index quality, costs, diversification, liquidity, and whether the building blocks complement each other effectively.

Categories A and B are the long-term cash flow building blocks for future retirement income enhancement. For this reason, frequent buying and selling is expressly not intended here:

A replacement requires a clear deviation from the objective or a significantly better alternative that is convincing in terms of costs and risks.

Currently, Category A is fully allocated with five building blocks:

VanEck Developed Markets Dividend Leaders $TDIV (-0,12%)
- Dividend component for developed markets

Dividend and region (as of September 16, 2026): approximately 3.0 percent dividend yield, paid quarterly. Rough regional breakdown: Europe 56 percent, North America 16 percent, Asia-Pacific and other markets 28 percent.

Why include it in your portfolio: The ETF brings together established companies with a strong focus on dividends, thereby complementing the portfolio’s foundation with a clear emphasis on income.

Expectations: In the long term, it is expected to deliver robust distributions and broader diversification across developed markets.

Key risk: A focus on dividends may temporarily result in significant overweighting of certain sectors and value stocks; high dividends are no substitute for corporate quality.

L&G Global Quality Dividends $LDGL (-0,16%)
- global quality and dividend component

Dividend yield and region (as of September 16, 2026): Approximately 4.3 percent annualized based on the most recent monthly payment; the fund is still young and does not yet have a full 12-month history. Distributions are made monthly. Rough regional breakdown: North America 35 percent, Europe 29 percent, Asia-Pacific 34 percent, other markets 2 percent.

Why include it in your portfolio: This ETF combines international diversification with quality and distribution characteristics. It is intended to prevent the dividend portion of the portfolio from consisting solely of traditional high-dividend stocks.

Expectations: It is intended to provide exposure to global corporate quality while also delivering regular distributions.

Key risk: Factor strategies can lag behind the broader market for extended periods and, despite their global focus, may develop regional or sector-specific biases.

WisdomTree Europe SmallCap Dividend
$DFE (-0,09%)
- European small-cap stocks

Dividend and Region (as of September 16, 2026): Approximately 3.7 percent dividend yield, paid quarterly. The equity allocation is almost entirely in Europe; the largest countries are the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Norway.

Why include it in your portfolio: This component adds smaller European companies to the portfolio that have little weight in major global indices. At the same time, the dividend component is maintained.

Expectation: It is intended to tap into additional sources of returns beyond global megacaps over the long term.

Key risk: Small-cap stocks are more sensitive to economic conditions, financing costs, and lower liquidity; Europe may also experience prolonged periods of relative weakness.

Fidelity Emerging Markets Quality Income
$FYEQ (-0,03%)
- Emerging markets with a quality filter

Dividend and region (as of September 16, 2026): 2.6 percent dividend yield, paid quarterly. Rough regional breakdown: Asia 81 percent, Europe 3 percent, Middle East and Africa 8 percent, Latin America 3 percent, other markets 5 percent.

Why include it in your portfolio: The ETF incorporates emerging markets into the portfolio without relying exclusively on the largest index holdings. Quality and dividends are intended to mitigate some of the typical risks associated with emerging markets.

Expectations: It aims to combine growth from emerging markets with a more disciplined approach to quality and income.

Key risk: Currencies, politics, regulation, and geopolitical tensions can significantly impact corporate earnings and returns as measured in Europe.

iShares MSCI ACWI
$ISAC (-0,11%)
- Cornerstone of the portfolio and thus the broad global core

Dividend Policy and Regional Breakdown (as of September 16, 2026): Reinvesting dividends, so no ongoing cash distributions; returns are reinvested in the ETF. Rough regional breakdown: North America 66 percent, Europe 12 percent, Asia-Pacific 16 percent, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and other markets 6 percent.

Why it’s in the portfolio: It covers developed and emerging markets within a very broad global equity strategy. It is the simplest and most diversified component of the system.

Expectation: It is intended to drive long-term global wealth accumulation, regardless of which individual investments are currently the focus in the rest of the portfolio.

Key risk: Even a global index does not protect against general stock market losses and is often heavily influenced by large U.S. technology companies.

Overall portfolio regions:

Category B: Cash Cows and Regular Dividends

Category B is intended to generate reliable cash flow.

A high percentage alone is not sufficient for this. Before making a new purchase, we review dividend coverage, the balance sheet, debt, the business model, capital allocation, and concentration risks. For new Category B positions, a minimum yield of six percent generally applies. Mechanical price stops are not a priority here; we sell if the dividend or fundamental thesis breaks down or if a clearly better alternative emerges.

Like Category A, Category B is geared toward long-term holding and subsequent recurring income. Price movements alone therefore do not trigger a change in position; dividend coverage, balance sheet, business model, and sustainable cash generation remain the decisive factors.

Currently, this category has a dividend yield of approximately 9% excluding any special dividends!

Cibus Nordic Real Estate
$CIBUS (+0,65%)
- Monthly real estate cash flow

Dividend (as of September 16, 2026): approximately 7.1 percent annualized, paid monthly.

Why it’s in the portfolio: Cibus focuses heavily on food and other everyday necessities. The monthly distribution and largely indexed rents align with the cash flow objectives of this category.

Expectation: The position is intended to provide predictable distributions from a defensive real estate portfolio.

Key risk: Debt levels and refinancing needs remain high. Rising interest rates, weaker like-for-like revenue, or overly aggressive growth through acquisitions would weigh on the investment thesis.

Hercules Capital $HTGC (-0,14%)
- Specialized financier for growth companies

Dividend (as of September 16, 2026): Approximately 10.8 percent based on current regular and supplemental distributions, paid quarterly. Supplemental distributions are not guaranteed.

Why include it in your portfolio: Hercules primarily extends loans to technology- and life sciences-oriented companies. Many loans have variable interest rates, which means returns can initially benefit from higher interest rates.

Expectation: The goal is to achieve an above-average current distribution from a specialized loan portfolio.

Key risk: Loan defaults, a weak venture capital environment, falling interest rates, or a deterioration in distribution coverage could put pressure on cash flow.

Vår Energi $VAR (+5,84%)
- Energy cash flow

Dividend (as of September 16, 2026): approximately 10.0 percent annualized based on the most recent quarterly payment, paid quarterly. The amount remains dependent on the commodity cycle and free cash flow.

Why include it in your portfolio: Vår Energi adds a commodities-related cash flow component to the portfolio. Production, the project pipeline, and distributions offer a different source of returns than real estate or the lending business.

Outlook: The position is expected to benefit from efficient oil and gas production as well as a shareholder-friendly dividend policy.

Key risk: Oil and gas prices, project delays, cost overruns, and political intervention make the dividend more cyclical than that of a traditional defensive dividend stock.

Capital Southwest $CSWC (+0,85%)
- SME financing

Dividend (as of September 16, 2026): approximately 10.8 percent based on the most recently reported annual payments. The regular dividend is paid monthly; supplemental dividends may be paid quarterly.

Why include it in your portfolio: Capital Southwest is another BDC component, but with its own loan portfolio and a different corporate structure. This position complements Hercules and spreads the credit risk across a second manager.

Outlook: We expect recurring income from U.S. small and medium-sized businesses and disciplined distributions from net interest income.

Key Risk: The biggest risks are credit quality, recession, falling interest margins, dilution, and a distribution that grows faster than sustainably earned income.

Chesnara
$CSN (+0,43%)
- Insurance and run-off cash flow

Dividend (as of September 16, 2026): approximately 6.5 percent based on the most recent known 12-month payments, paid semiannually.

Why it’s in the portfolio: Chesnara manages life insurance portfolios and acquires additional portfolios. This results in a cash flow profile that differs significantly from real estate, energy, and BDCs.

Outlook: The position is expected to deliver stable long-term distributions from existing insurance portfolios and disciplined capital allocation.

Key risk: Capital requirements, market fluctuations, the quality of acquisitions, and weaker cash generation could limit dividends and growth.

Category C: Quality Growth and Long-Term Compounding

Category C is intended for companies that can grow revenue, earnings, and free cash flow over many years. Quality and growth are considered separately from the initial entry point. A company can reach the “Champions League” and still be too expensive or technically unfavorable at first.

For active C positions, a 20-percent trailing rule generally applies, whereby actual broker orders and theoretical benchmarks must remain clearly separate.

An open position does not create an obligation to buy.

Nu Holdings $NU (+3,11%)
- digital financial platform in Latin America

Why it’s in the portfolio: Nu combines strong customer growth, a scalable digital platform, and the ability to offer more financial products per customer. The stock also brings regional diversification to the C-segment.

Outlook: In the long term, Nu is expected to profitably monetize its large customer base in Brazil, Mexico, the U.S., and other markets.

Key risk: Credit quality, regulation, currencies, competition, and an overly high valuation could undermine the growth thesis.

Schneider Electric
$SU (-2,1%)
- Electrification, energy efficiency, and automation

Why it’s in the portfolio: Schneider is a high-quality company positioned to benefit from several structural growth themes: rising electricity demand, data centers, automation, grids, and more efficient energy management. The stock was added following a direct comparison with several industrial and energy infrastructure candidates.

Outlook: The position is expected to benefit in the long term from the expansion of electrical infrastructure and the integration of hardware, software, and services.

Key risk: Valuation, economic conditions, integration and execution risks, as well as a significant slowdown in data center or industrial investments, are the main concerns.

Hacksaw $HACK (-0,69%)
- Growth in digital gaming and platforms

Why include it in the portfolio: Hacksaw represents a scalable, content-driven business model in the regulated online gaming sector. New games and additional markets can contribute disproportionately to earnings with relatively little capital tied up.

Outlook: The goal is long-term growth through new content, distribution, and international expansion.

Key risk: Regulatory changes, dependence on platform partners, shifting gaming trends, and a high valuation could quickly lead to a repricing of growth.

Vincorion $V1NC (-2,32%)
- Specialized energy and defense systems

Why include it in the portfolio: Vincorion complements C with a smaller German specialist that has long-term demand for robust energy and system solutions for safety-critical applications.

Outlook: The position is expected to benefit from increased defense and infrastructure investments as well as improved operational execution.

Key risk: Order delays, project and margin risks, low market liquidity, and customer concentration make the stock more vulnerable than that of a large industrial conglomerate.

RELX
$REL (-0,58%)
- Data-driven information and analytics services

Why include it in your portfolio: RELX has recurring revenue, strong data assets, and deep integration into professional workflows. Its business model is less cyclical than that of traditional industrial companies.

Outlook: The position is expected to grow over the long term through pricing, data, software, and continuous product improvement.

Key risk: An overly high valuation, regulatory issues, technological disruptions, and new AI-based competitors could limit growth and margins.

For Category C, the following applies: A C-rated position may not be downgraded to D.

If the C thesis deteriorates permanently, the position is replaced or sold within the C category.

D is not a catch-all category for damaged quality or growth theses.

A D company, on the other hand, may be upgraded to C if it demonstrably reduces its uncertainties and, in a direct comparison, better aligns with the quality and growth objectives of Category C.

It must , however, like any other security, be at least 10% to 15% better in valuation than the existing holding.

Sector Overview of the Portfolio:

Category D: Limited Asymmetric Opportunities

Category D deliberately accepts a higher degree of uncertainty. Here, we look for situations in which a successful milestone can significantly alter the company’s value, while the position size and exit strategy limit potential losses.

We evaluate the product and technology, financing, cash runway, dilution, customer or pipeline concentration, catalysts, and technical setup.

An open position does not create an obligation to buy.

NeoVolta $NEOV (+3,21%)
- small provider of energy storage systems

Why it’s in the portfolio: NeoVolta offers access to the growing market for residential and small-scale commercial energy storage. The investment case hinges on scaling, sales, and broader market acceptance.

Outlook: If growth is successful, the company could benefit from decentralized power supply, resilience, and increasing solar adoption.

Key risk: Financing, dilution, competition, the company’s small size, and its dependence on strong revenue growth make this a highly speculative position.

Kymera Therapeutics $KYMR
- Targeted Protein Degradation

Why include it in the portfolio: Kymera develops drugs designed to specifically degrade disease-relevant proteins. Successful clinical data could significantly boost the value of several programs and the entire technology platform.

Expectations: The position targets the asymmetric value of clinical progress and potential partnerships.

Key Risk: Clinical failures, side effects, binary data events, high capital requirements, and potential dilution are core risks rather than temporary side effects.

IQM Quantum Computers
$IQMX (-0,24%)
- European quantum computing technology

Why include it in the portfolio: IQM offers direct access to a strategically important future market and has operational systems, orders, and technology partnerships. At the same time, the market is still in its early stages and difficult to evaluate.

Outlook: The position is expected to benefit from growing demand for European quantum infrastructure and technological advances.

Key risk: Long development times, high financing costs, technological competition, and further capital requirements could significantly dilute the company’s value. The risk and stop-loss strategy will therefore be reviewed again.

AeroVironment
$AVAV (+5,53%)
- Drones, counter-UAS, and defense technology

Why it’s in the portfolio: AeroVironment was added following a renewed fundamental and technical review. The investment case combines a strong order backlog with growing demand for unmanned systems, defense solutions, and directed-energy applications.

Outlook: The position is expected to benefit from the transition of key programs to larger-scale production runs and from the structurally rising demand for drones and defense systems.

Key risk: Order timing, government budgets, project integration, valuation, and sharp price fluctuations could lead to significant setbacks despite strong demand.

As of today, the fifth spot in the D category is still open.

Currently, the main contenders are NeurAxis $NRXS , Praxis Precision Medicines, and Rocket Lab $RKLB (+3,19%) are being closely monitored.

NeurAxis has become significantly more attractive following technical improvements, but remains a speculative candidate due to losses, capital requirements, and potential dilution. The spot will only be awarded if quality, financing, catalysts, chart performance, and portfolio value collectively prove compelling.

Category E: Tactical Situations and Special Cases

This category is intended for swings, events, free rides, and clearly documented special cases. E is not a dumping ground for poor positions, nor is it a way to circumvent rules from categories B, C, or D. Before making a tactical purchase, the setup, trigger, risk, target, and exit strategy must be clearly defined. This category may remain empty if no compelling opportunity is available.

Desert Control $DSRT (-4,83%)
- Special Case and Grandfathering

Why it’s in the portfolio: Desert Control is developing technology to improve sandy and dry soils. The position dates back to an earlier phase of the portfolio and is not currently treated as a standard new purchase under the current D rules.

Expectation: The remaining position keeps open the possibility that pilot projects, partnerships, or commercial applications will validate the technology.

Key Risk: Early commercialization, financing, dilution, low predictability, and very high volatility make this investment unsuitable as a core position. It therefore remains explicitly a documented special case.

Teekay Tankers $TNK (+4,47%)
– Momentum Position

Why it’s in the portfolio: We have included Teekay Tankers as a tactical momentum/event position in Category E. The company is currently benefiting from high tanker rates, strong demand for oil transportation, and longer shipping routes due to geopolitical tensions. Added to this are a very solid balance sheet, high free cash flows, and a favorable valuation.

Expectations: Capitalizing on the momentum. For this reason, we do not treat Teekay as a long-term dividend or quality position, but rather as an E-position to be actively monitored with a clear exit strategy.

Key Risk: Despite these strengths, the business is highly cyclical: falling freight rates or an easing of the geopolitical situation could quickly bring earnings back to normal levels.

In addition, for the two open spots in the E portfolio, we are currently reviewing, among other things, selected “fallen angel” stocks, as well as potential rebound or event-driven setups.

Dorian LPG $LPG (+5,21%) and International Seaways $INSW (+2,33%) are examples of strong but highly cyclical momentum plays. DSV $DSV (-0,05%) would be more of a rebound or earnings event than an immediate C-buy.

Such ideas do not automatically become positions; the current chart and a predefined exit strategy are key factors.

Why the categories don’t have to be the same size

The 55555 system means five possible slots per category, not five identical positions and no rigid equal weighting.

A category may remain incomplete.

Capital is not automatically allocated to the next available slot.

First come rule violations and risk control, then vacant slots, the best candidates, and only then possible replacements or additional purchases.

Nor is a replacement made simply because a new name seems more modern or stronger in the short term. A candidate must demonstrably outperform the existing position and improve the overall portfolio by approximately ten to fifteen percent, or replace a clear rule violation. As a result, the category structure does not become an automated trading system, but rather a framework for disciplined decision-making.

The rulebook clearly states that no single sector may account for more than 30% of the portfolio!

This limit includes ETFs as well. So it can happen that a truly good stock can no longer be purchased—due to the sector cap—to avoid creating concentration risk.

What Has Changed Since the Start

The basic idea behind the five tasks has remained the same, but the practical implementation has become more precise. Category E is now active. Balance sheet, debt, and concentration are mandatory review criteria. Champions League, Reserve, Watchlist, and Top 3 Alternates distinguish quality from current buyability.

The Masterbook and Master Status ensure that new decisions, sales, and exceptions do not get lost in old chats and works.

It was particularly important to realize that a system does not improve simply by mechanically applying every rule.

A stop, a score, or an open slot is only part of the decision.

Data quality, company context, portfolio utility, and human judgment remain indispensable.

Preview of Part 4

The fourth and final part focuses on control and further development:

How Masterbook, Master Status, daily closing, lists, transaction history, dividend log, and catalyst calendar work together. I’ll also show how errors, conflicting data, and new information are handled and where the limits of an AI-powered system lie.

Part 3, too, describes exclusively my personal development and decision-making process. It is neither investment advice nor a solicitation to buy or sell securities.

I look forward to questions, suggestions, and constructive criticism. I find it particularly fascinating to see what roles other investors assign to the components of their portfolios and how they distinguish between long-term quality, ongoing cash flow, and limited speculative opportunities.

NeoVolta Inc.
$NEOV (+3,21%) will report its fourth-quarter results after the market closes on Wednesday, September 23.

Analysts expect the Poway, California-based company to report a quarterly loss of 9 cents per share. The consensus estimate for NeoVolta’s quarterly revenue is $1.27 million.

According to Benzinga Pro, the company reported revenue of $4.75 million in the prior year.

On August 31, NeoVolta announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, NeoVolta Power, had entered into a five-year strategic supply and production partnership with SK On.

NeoVolta’s stock rose 0.3% on Wednesday and closed at $3.31.

Benzinga readers can access the latest analyst ratings on the “Analyst Stock Ratings” page.

The ratings can be sorted by ticker symbol, company name, brokerage firm, rating change, or other criteria.

Let’s take a look at how Benzinga’s most accurate analysts have rated the company in the recent past.

• Needham analyst Sean Milligan reaffirmed his “Buy” recommendation on September 15, 2026, with a price target of $8. This analyst’s track record stands at 41%.
• Analyst Ted Jackson of Northland Capital Markets added the stock to his coverage on July 29, 2026, with an “Outperform” rating and a price target of $15. This analyst’s accuracy rate is 67%.
• Lake Street analyst Rob Brown added the stock to his watchlist on June 26, 2026, with a “Buy” recommendation and a price target of $11. This analyst’s accuracy rate is 72%.
• Analyst Tate Sullivan of the Maxim Group downgraded the stock from “Buy” to “Hold” on October 1, 2025. This analyst’s track record stands at 48%.

NeoVolta Power, a subsidiary of NeoVolta, announced a binding capacity reservation agreement worth approximately $53 million with Infinite Grid Capital for battery storage equipment for edge AI data center projects in Northern Ontario in 2027.

$NEOV (+3,21%)

NeoVolta has secured a $20 million senior credit facility from Horizon/RoHo; an additional $10 million may be added. The funds are intended primarily to support the ramp-up of U.S. BESS production in Georgia.

For me, however, the terms are crucial:

10% interest, maturity as early as March 3, 2028, and amortization beginning December 4, 2026. A minimum of $1.25 million must be repaid monthly—and up to $2 million, depending on stock trading volume.

In addition, virtually all of NeoVolta’s assets are secured as first-lien collateral.

There is also the potential for direct dilution:

The lenders received 1,454,545 five-year warrants at $3.30. If the facility is increased to $30 million, an additional 727,273 warrants may be issued. This could result in a total of approximately 2.18 million additional shares from this financing.

The financing eliminates part of the liquidity risk in the short term and enables the production ramp-up.

For a small-cap company like NeoVolta, however, the combination of 10% debt + rapid repayment + warrants is by no means cheap.

For me, though, this will only become a problem if operating cash flow—or the Georgia ramp-up—cannot cover the repayments, making another round of significant equity financing necessary.

On the positive side: The Georgia plant is still designed for an initial annual capacity of up to 2 GWh and could later be scaled up to 8 GWh.

$NEOV (+3,21%)

(Updated to include SK On's statement as well as details and background information from paragraph 3)

SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Reuters) - South Korean battery manufacturer SK On announced on Monday that it had signed a contract to supply 9 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of lithium- iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to the U.S. company NeoVolta Power, which are to be used in energy storage systems starting in 2027 over a five-year period.

The pouch cells are to be manufactured at SK On’s plant in the U.S. state of Georgia, according to a statement.

SK On did not disclose the value of the contract, but industry estimates put it at around 1.5 trillion won.

The agreement comes as SK On expands into the energy storage systems business to offset weaker demand for electric vehicles. Last year, the company signed a contract with the U.S. firm Flatiron Energy Development (link) to supply LFP batteries for energy storage systems.

SK On announced that it also plans to expand its partnership with NeoVolta Power later this year through a separate agreement under which it would supply an additional 9 GWh of LFP battery cells. NeoVolta would assemble these into battery packs using its expertise in battery pack technology.

The planned partnership would increase the total volume of collaboration between the two companies to 18 GWh.

SK On had set a goal of securing global orders for energy storage systems totaling more than 20 GWh this year and stated that it is negotiating additional supply contracts totaling more than 10 GWh with several U.S. customers.

Other South Korean battery manufacturers, including LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI, have also retooled their electric vehicle battery production lines to manufacture batteries for energy storage systems as U.S. subsidies for electric vehicles are set to expire.

Energy storage batteries are based on a chemistry similar to that of vehicle batteries and store electricity for facilities such as data centers, thereby helping to balance electricity demand and supply.

About NeoVolta

NeoVolta is an innovative company in the field of energy storage solutions and is committed to building a reliable and high-performance power infrastructure for residential, commercial, and utility customers. With a focus on scalable technologies, domestic manufacturing, and strategic partnerships, NeoVolta is ideally positioned to support the accelerated transition to resilient energy systems.

The reason why the stock $NEOV (+3,21%) rose 15% today:

1. The aggressive $15 price target

The single biggest driver behind this massive price jump is a brand-new analysis from Northland Securities. The research firm has initiated coverage of NeoVolta stock and immediately assigned an aggressive "Outperform" rating (a clear buy recommendation).

But the real catalyst is the announced price target:

They are targeting an unbelievable $15.00 ! When major institutional analysts suddenly attribute such extreme upside potential to a stock that’s been languishing around the $2 mark, momentum traders and speculative buyers naturally jump on it without hesitation.

2. The upcoming milestone in August

Northland and the market are currently pricing in the fact that NeoVolta is on the verge of a long-awaited operational turning point (the “shift” toward large-scale commercial and utility-scale storage). The company recently reaffirmed that testing and commissioning of the new battery factory in Georgia are fully on schedule and set for late August 2026 . It was also confirmed that the production facility complies with the key FEOC regulations, which is mandatory for U.S. subsidies.

The Bottom Line

Today’s 15% jump is the market’s direct reaction to Northland’s bullish $15 price target and anticipation of the new factory’s operational launch in the coming weeks.

This is precisely the explosive momentum we expect from satellites on the speculative B-side: sharp downward swings, but also dramatic double-digit price jumps in a single day when the market recognizes the potential.

Hi there, community! 🚀

As part of our latest search for undiscovered gems in the broader AI and energy ecosystem—because, as we all know, without massive energy storage systems (BESS), nothing will work in the extremely energy-hungry AI data centers of the future—we stumbled upon a pretty hot lead.

We first learned about the company through a recent press release on Investing, which covered a massive $200 million deal (a letter of intent). The link and more details are coming up later in the text.

And there was something else: We had promised our dear @Multibagger here in the group that we’d keep our eyes open for a speculative high-risk/high-reward candidate that really packs a punch and fits his type perfectly. Dear Multibagger, we really hope we’ve hit your sweet spot and that this stock delivers exactly the dose of thrills you’re looking for! 😉

While the solid cash cows on one side of our portfolio are quietly churning out their dividends, today I’ve brought something hot for the speculative side of things. A stock that hardly anyone has on their radar yet:

NeoVolta Inc. (NASDAQ: NEOV) $NEOV (+3,21%)

This isn’t a safe bet—it’s a full-blown gamble on the boom in battery storage systems and massive U.S. subsidies.

1. What the Company Does

NeoVolta builds scalable battery energy storage systems (BESS) for residential and commercial use, and in the future, at the power-plant scale as well. The company is currently undergoing a massive transformation: it’s evolving from a provider of home storage solutions into a vertically integrated energy platform. At the very heart of this is a new factory in Pendergrass, Georgia, 80% of which is owned by the company.

2. Current Key Figures & Facts

• Market Capitalization: approx. $116.4 million (micro-cap!).
• Current share price: approx. $2.12.
• Revenue (Last 12 Months - LTM): $18.1 million.
• Net income (LTM): -11.5 million USD.
• Cash position: $11.5 million (more cash than debt on the balance sheet).

3. Core Quality Formula (Revenue Growth + Margin)

Our target score for solid investments is > 25.

• Revenue Growth: NeoVolta is experiencing explosive growth. In the first 9 months of the fiscal year, revenue rose by approximately 262% year-over-year to 13.3 million USD.
• Operating Margin: This is where the bloodbath begins. Operating profit (LTM) stands at -$9.4 million. With revenue of $18.1 million, this corresponds to an operating margin of approximately -51.9%.
• Score: The 25 threshold is formally exceeded by a wide margin, but only because of the absurd revenue leverage. Operationally, the company is burning through massive amounts of cash.

4. Cash Flow Quality Formula

• Operating Cash Flow (LTM): -9.1 million USD.
• Free Cash Flow (FCF) Yield: Stands at a dramatic -9.08%. The company is a pure cash burner that needs the funds to get the new factory up and running.

5. Dividend Filter (Income-Core)

A very quick check: 0%. NeoVolta doesn’t pay out a single cent; it’s a pure growth stock.

6. Exclusion Rule Check

Actually, our ironclad rule applies here without exception: Operating margin consistently < 5%, company with no clear path to immediate profitability.

Why are we looking at this stock anyway? Because this is a deliberately isolated gamble for the highly speculative portion of the portfolio, where the focus right now is solely on future orders and the company’s narrative.

7. Future and Industry Outlook

This is where the real potential lies: NeoVolta has received the coveted “FEOC compliance opinion” for its Georgia plant. This qualifies it as one of the few U.S. providers eligible for massive tax credits (IRS Sections 45X and 48E).

There is already a letter of intent for $200 million. If they scale production from 2 GWh to 8 GWh, we’re talking about a theoretical revenue capacity of around $400 million.

8. Competition

The market is a veritable shark tank. $NEOV (+3,21%) It faces direct competition from giant, well-capitalized players such as $TSLA (-0,23%) and $GNRC (-0,24%) , which have long-established, global distribution channels.

9. Analyst Forecasts

Analysts are going completely crazy: Needham recently initiated coverage of NeoVolta with a price target of $8.00, Lake Street is even calling for $11.00.

The analysts’ bullish scenario anticipates a jump in revenue from ~$14 million (FY26) to a staggering ~$657 million in FY28.

10. Chart Analysis of the Last Few Months

The chart is a shambles over a 1-year period: a plunge of a whopping -51.6%. The 52-week low was $1.36, and the high was $7.13.

However, the short-term trend over the past few weeks shows extreme price swings (high volatility with a negative beta of -0.57) due to positive news about the factory in Georgia.

11. Bargain Hunter List (Entry Zones)

The price is currently fluctuating between $2.12 and $2.30. There is no fundamental bargain threshold for this speculative trade.

Anyone entering this trade must operate with a strictly limited stake and must absolutely set a strict stop-loss at approximately 15–20% below the purchase price to avoid total losses in the event of bad news.

12. Long-Term Viability

Everything hinges on the factory’s “Site Acceptance Testing” by the end of August 2026 and the subsequent production ramp-up in the third quarter.

The company must convert the non-binding letters of intent into binding purchase agreements. If it fails to do so, it risks running out of money.

13. Potential Alternatives

Those who aren’t interested in micro-cap risk and dilution should turn to industry giants such as Tesla or Generac.

While these don’t offer the potential for a 300% price target in just a few months, they aren’t burning through cash at that rate in their operations.

14. Profit Margin Report

Currently unavailable. Although the gross margin climbed to approximately 36% in Q3 (adjusted), the bottom line for Q3 was a steep net loss of -3.0 million USD (EPS of -0.08 USD, which missed expectations by a wide margin).

According to analysts, profits are not expected to materialize until FY28 (with an estimated EPS of +$0.70 at that time).

15. RaketenToni’s Conclusion & Risk Disclosure

NeoVolta is an asymmetric bet on the expansion of U.S. infrastructure and the FEOC tax credits. The company raised an additional $25 million in May through a new share issuance (dilution!), giving it some breathing room in the short term.

Caution: This is not solid buy-and-hold investment for our Cibus faction!

$NEOV (+3,21%) It’s a bet for the bold among us.

If the deals get signed, this stock will skyrocket.

If the factory stumbles, the lights go out. Strict position sizing and stop-loss orders are mandatory!
