Friday was a special day because I became a father for the first time 👶. To celebrate the occasion, I bought my son gold, silver, Bitcoin, and the NASDAQ 100 ETF, all for 2,500€ each.
1.) UBS NASDAQ 100 ETF A412XA, TER: 0.13%
2.) WisdomTree Physical Swiss Gold USD ETC A1DCTK, TER: 0.15%
3.) WisdomTree Core Physical Silver ETC A4AE1X, TER: 0.19%
4.) Bitcoin (Alternative: 21shares Bitcoin Core ETP A3GZ2Z, TER: 0.10%)
The last three are tax-free after a one-year holding period. The greedy government gets nothing. Just a few hours after his birth, my son is already a Bitcoin holder, a shareholder, and a precious metals investor. Priorities. And there you have it: the “Junior Portfolio.” What do you have in your child’s junior portfolio?
We discussed these two precious metal ETCs in podcast episode 159: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3K5LRl3gTl0OlxaA12xPob?si=ojJydfKPSHWpsW2Hw4etJA&nd=1&dlsi=ea7ce84bd4f6449f

Something boring again
Good evening, everyone,
Here's another post from the "Boring DDepot" section :)
I recently rebalanced my portfolio again and sold off $QCOM (+0,83%) & $WFG (+0,12%) . I invested the freed-up funds in $MSFT (-0,56%)
$V (-0,27%) & $JPM (-0,05%) since these are long-term positions.
With $QCOM (+0,83%) , I’d been hoping for better short-term prospects, but those didn’t really materialize, so the money $MSFT (-0,56%) .
With $WFG (+0,12%) I sold one of my earliest positions; I’d entered it at a pretty bad time, so I exited with a slight loss for now. However, I may re-enter this position if the wood commodity recovers cyclically and, potentially, demand in home construction rises—that’s what I had actually been speculating on, but it seems it will take a little while longer.
Hopefully, the loss pool has had enough for now, and I’m constantly learning :)
I currently have a savings plan in place for $VWRL (-0,21%)
$TDIV (-0,58%)
$WGLD (-0,01%) and $BTC (+0,3%)
I still have some capital available, but I’m not quite sure yet where or how I’ll invest it. The positions in $MSFT (-0,56%) and $V (-0,27%) for now, unless they become cheap enough. I’m undecided whether the other stocks are worth adding to; if anything, I’d like to snag another 2 shares of $ALV (-1,81%) , but they’re pretty expensive right now.
My watchlist currently includes things like
- $AMZN (-0,19%)
$UNP (+0,28%) (though it’s just gotten expensive again)- $OTTR (+0,62%)
$BLBD (-0,66%)
$MAIN (-0,47%) (which is trending down a bit again)- $SJ (+0%)
$TGLS (-0,29%)
My portfolio is mainly focused on high-quality, “boring” companies; the goal is to generate cash flow right from the start, and I want to feel comfortable with it. The investment horizon is generally long-term—more than 20–30 years—but I also want to start seeing some returns now. Probably not for most people here, but I’m very happy with it right now. Let’s see how the journey continues—I’ll probably wait until the start of next week for now.
I’m always open to feedback, tips, or stocks that would be a good fit here :)
You're clearly overweight in the US. That can quickly make things less boring. USD weakness, sovereign debt crisis, shadow banking collapse, private debt orgy, government restructuring - this will not leave US equities unscathed.
Why don't you have any EM value stocks?
KapEst Gold - Trade Republic - Wisdom WGLD
Hello everyone
does anyone have any experience regarding the tax treatment of profits of the $WGLD (-0,01%) at Trade Republic for holding periods >1 year? The gold is physically deposited and therefore does not fall under settlement, but is subject to the private tax rate according to § 23 EStG or, if the speculation period (>1 year) is observed, no capital gains tax. Is this automatically taken into account by TR and is this included in the data record of the $WGLD (-0,01%) from the third-party provider, or does this have to be done ex post via the EKST? Would like to realize something after the "mega run" of the last weeks / months.
It's not time to make a change
It's not time to make a change
Just relax, take it easy...
It's time to chill and enjoy
Better times will arrive to enter the market.
Now it's time to wait.
Avoid getting hurt.
Avoid waste of money.
Avoid waste of time.
Avoid waste of thoughts.
Concentrate energy.
Concentrate liquidity.
Concentrate power.
You will not regret it.
Just hold.
Hold your brain.
Hold your action.
Hold your opinion.
Hold your breath.
Something is changing.
Something is arriving.
I'm not sure it's something good, nor bad, I just dont know.
I just know we must prepare.
Two depots, one goal: peace, freedom and a predictable transition
Dear Community,
At the end of the year, I would like to share my portfolio and my strategy with you.
I am 38 years old, have been in the stock market since 2024 and am aiming for financial freedom at the age of 58. Time will tell whether that will work out... 😉 I'm not investing to maximize my profits, but to be able to live a relaxed life in the long term. To this end, I have deliberately separated my investments into two portfolios with a clear purpose.
Portfolio 1 - Growth (ING)
$VWCE (-0,18%) , $XNAS (-0,12%) , $WGLD (-0,01%) and as an admixture some Bitcoin via ETP $IB1T (+0,62%) .
This portfolio is saved monthly until 58 and then remains more or less untouched.
My savings rates would be:
800€ $VWCE (-0,18%)
375€ $XNAS (-0,12%)
150€ $WGLD (-0,01%)
0€ $IB1T (+0,62%) - Position is currently at 10% and should rest for the time being
Portfolio 2 - Cash flow (SC)
Here I am investing via 2 dividend ETFs ($VHYL (-0,33%) , $TDIV (-0,58%) ) and selected quality stocks to build up a steadily growing cash flow. All distributions are reinvested equally in the ETFs. Furthermore, a small cushion is built up here via $XEOD (-0%) is built up here.
My savings rates would be
250€ $XEOD (-0%)
200€ $VHYL (-0,33%) - Start January 26
200€ $TDIV (-0,58%) - Start January 26
425€ Individual assets (as required, no savings plan, no obligation)
My individual stocks:
Allianz $ALV (-1,81%)
Munich Re $MUV2 (-0,72%)
Procter & Gamble $PG (-1,14%)
PepsiCo $PEP (-0,39%)
Johnson & Johnson $JNJ (-0,54%)
Novo Nordisk $NOVO B (-0,3%)
Lime $LIN (-0,07%)
ADP $ADP (-0,13%)
Waste Management $WM (+0,05%)
Siemens $SIE (+0,11%)
Accenture $ACN (-1,46%)
Alphabet $GOOGL (-0,19%)
Itochu $8001 (-0,65%)
visas $V (-0,27%)
No speculation, no trading. For most people here, extremely boring... 😴 But hopefully the selection will bring some stability to the portfolio in turbulent times. 😉
For the time being, we will stick with these stocks and gradually buy more when good opportunities arise. Each individual position will of course be capped later and should make up between 2-3% of the portfolio (including the proportion within the ETFs). Alphabet would be an exception.
The reallocation idea
Nothing is invested from 58. The plan is to reallocate around 5 % annually from custody account 1 to custody account 2. In this way, growth is gradually converted into cash flow - without significant erosion of assets. And in the best-case scenario, my growth portfolio can continue to grow. I consciously accept taxes 😉
Thank you for reading and have a successful 2026.
P.S. My allocation doesn't fit yet because I've been focusing more on my individual stocks in recent weeks. Chart is also not meaningful because of ING Autosync and Itochu split 🥲
Also an exciting strategy.
I've also spent the last few evenings restructuring my portfolio. Simply because I can't keep my feet still and a few individual stocks just spice things up.
I think my portfolio could look similar without the dividend stocks. I will probably increase the core share instead and go for S&P and EU momentum. 👍
Clean up
After almost 3 years, I used the price yesterday to sell.
I will shift the capital into a savings plan $WGLD (-0,01%)
$TDIV (-0,58%) and a few individual shares
Junior portfolio - 100% FTSE All World or 70-80% +X?
I'm currently setting up a junior custody account for my older son and I'm not sure whether I should put 100% into the $VWCE (-0,18%) or 70-80% $VWCE (-0,18%) + X via a monthly savings plan.
As X I could think of $BTC (+0,3%) / $WGLD (-0,01%) / $WSIL (-1,24%) or also $EIMI (+0,14%) or $ZPRX (-0,28%) in order to be more broadly positioned.
My favorite would be 70% $VWCE (-0,18%) + 15% $WGLD (-0,01%) +15% $BTC (+0,3%).
How did you handle this with your junior portfolios? I would appreciate your recommendation / assessment.
I have already looked into the advantages and disadvantages of accumulating and distributing ETFs and have decided in favor of the accumulating ETF. The dividends would be too low for automatic reinvestment and my objective is to avoid fees and taxes in addition to minimizing the effort involved in managing the custody account. Using NV, it may also be possible to reallocate once or for the first time after 8-10 years in order to take the profits tax-free.
Portfolio update
Hello GetQuin Community,
since it has also become a bit quiet for me, there is a small update today.
My core still includes $IWDA (-0,19%)
$CSNDX (+0,36%) and $EIMI (+0,14%)
Total: (approx. 46.4%)
across all assets: $WGLD (-0,01%)
$BTC (+0,3%) and $XEON (+0%)
Total: (approx. 17.08%)
Here the $IWDA (-0,19%) with 120€/month and $BTC (+0,3%) with 70€/month
Individual purchases will of course be made on occasion.
----------
Two new shares were added over the course of the year. The following were added $ISRG (-0,68%) and $RKLB (+1,65%) these are still in the expansion phase ($ISRG (-0,68%) = 100€/month and $RKLB (+1,65%) with targeted individual purchases). Total, all shares: (approx. 36.52%)
There should also be a candidate from the cyber 'sector, which I have been watching for some time $ZS (+0,6%) and $CRWD (+0,53%) and from the network technology sector $ANET (+0,75%)
This leaves a balanced mix of growth and quality stocks.
----------
In addition, the cash position is also being built up a little more each month (approx. €350/month), which currently stands at around €1,500
Nest egg also remains stable at around €10,000
---------
My goal was to bring the portfolio up to €30,000 by the end of the year. This was already achieved in September, at least in terms of "momentum". I have therefore revised my forecast upwards and now expect to reach around €34,000 by the end of the year (including the savings ratio).
That was my word for Sunday.
LG
Paul
