Something boring again

Good evening, everyone,

Here's another post from the "Boring DDepot" section :)

I recently rebalanced my portfolio again and sold off $QCOM (-1.22%) & $WFG (-0.47%) . I invested the freed-up funds in $MSFT (+0.24%)
$V (+0.14%) & $JPM (+0.2%) since these are long-term positions.

With $QCOM (-1.22%) , I’d been hoping for better short-term prospects, but those didn’t really materialize, so the money $MSFT (+0.24%) .

With $WFG (-0.47%) I sold one of my earliest positions; I’d entered it at a pretty bad time, so I exited with a slight loss for now. However, I may re-enter this position if the wood commodity recovers cyclically and, potentially, demand in home construction rises—that’s what I had actually been speculating on, but it seems it will take a little while longer.

Hopefully, the loss pool has had enough for now, and I’m constantly learning :)

I currently have a savings plan in place for $VWRL (-0.19%)
$TDIV (+0.17%)
$WGLD (-0.3%) and $BTC (+0.7%)

I still have some capital available, but I’m not quite sure yet where or how I’ll invest it. The positions in $MSFT (+0.24%) and $V (+0.14%) for now, unless they become cheap enough. I’m undecided whether the other stocks are worth adding to; if anything, I’d like to snag another 2 shares of $ALV (+0.23%) , but they’re pretty expensive right now.

My watchlist currently includes things like

My portfolio is mainly focused on high-quality, “boring” companies; the goal is to generate cash flow right from the start, and I want to feel comfortable with it. The investment horizon is generally long-term—more than 20–30 years—but I also want to start seeing some returns now. Probably not for most people here, but I’m very happy with it right now. Let’s see how the journey continues—I’ll probably wait until the start of next week for now.

I’m always open to feedback, tips, or stocks that would be a good fit here :)

Pretty boring. 😁

You're clearly overweight in the US. That can quickly make things less boring. USD weakness, sovereign debt crisis, shadow banking collapse, private debt orgy, government restructuring - this will not leave US equities unscathed.

Why don't you have any EM value stocks?

@Epi That's right, there's still a bit of a thrill here. In the long term, however, I don't think you can go wrong with US.

The two ETFs should even things out a bit 🤔 I also have $HNR1 $LSEG $8002 and $IBE running as a savings plan in my secondary portfolio and they will be added to the main portfolio here once they reach a certain size.

I would probably get back in at $ASML if the price were better and I'm looking at $DB1.

Do you have any EM stocks that currently seem worth buying?

Thank you for your feedback 👍

@CherieMay What do you mean by Top Star Net Worth Investor? 500k is not the world now. 😅

By the way: of the 19 positions, 3 are cash equivalents. So actually 16 positions. And 6 of them are small game positions. 😁
