Quality shares wanted

I am currently looking for quality stocks, as I have noticed over the last few days that growth stocks are all well and good, but the high volatility is not my cup of tea.

I have quality stocks: $GOOGL (+1.57%)
$NVDA (+2.05%)
$AMZN (+0.56%)
$2330
$ASML (+0.4%)
$CRM (+0.54%)
$MSFT (+0.22%)
$APH (+0.93%)
$HEI (+0.21%)
$NOVO B (+0.61%)
$CSU (+0.65%)

Among other things, I would like $V (-0.02%) or $MA (+0.03%) but can't decide.

Can anyone help me with this or would a mixture of both be the best as I have found at $CRWD (+0.67%) znd $FTNT (-0.12%) to 50/50?

If high vola is not your thing, how about an ETF? S&P500 perhaps? You have to beat it over the year first

@JuppDupp beating it over the long term is not sooo difficult, but of course that excludes low vola

@VincP3 Both are bad

@JuppDupp I also have bad luck with individual shares. I bought a quality share at $AMZN and was down 9% in no time.
Sorry to all Amazon shareholders. I'll be announcing share purchases soon so you can still sell quickly. đŸ„Ž

@Thomas_1963 That's what happened to me with $UNH, currently down 33%. But since I'm running B&H for the long term, it doesn't bother me for now. Currently up 16% at $AMZN:-)

Hello, take a look at Ferrari and Adobe today.

What do you mean by quality stocks? You mention Alphabet, Nvidia or Novo, for example, which are absolute growth stocks. Which is not to say that they can't also be quality stocks, but you differentiate between them in your post.

@Jona1407 So Alphabet etc. are of course exceptions. I mean growth stocks that have high potential, e.g. $IREN $SOFI etc. But what are small corrections for Alphabet and co (1-5%) are direct corrections of 20-30% for such stocks, as in the last few weeks. So I'm looking for stocks that have solid growth but also manage crises well.

I haven't been around that long either, but for me quality stocks are stable and relatively safe companies, some of the ones you mentioned are definitely not.

$MSFT $PG $ALV $PEP $LIN $WM
Here are a few suggestions from me that I would classify as such.

$V is my favorite of the two will also be in my portfolio

@Timeless98 Which exactly are definitely not quality stocks?

@8fionn Jonah has named some 😊

@Timeless98 Great but I still don't know what "definitely" is not a quality stock

@8fionn No problem, I'll send it in here again
"Alphabet, Nvidia or Novo" then you already have some that you should rather not sort there and can rather look for others that fulfill what you are looking for, such as some of the above mentioned

$RSG $LIN $AJG $8001 $DECK
At the time, I opted for $V and for $FTNT

The decision depends on the size of your portfolio and your convictions. Generally speaking, if you don't want to hold 50+ positions, you have to buy your companies according to your own convictions. I only give my immature opinion on these niches because I would like to own some of the stocks.

Regarding MA and V: they are almost identical. The only difference is that MA's valuation is higher, but they have a slightly higher growth rate. I think 1-2% more when I looked at it at the time. But both are solid and a 'buy and forget' choice.

On the internet security side, if you just look at the numbers, FTNT seems like a great choice, but their growth seems to be slowing down. Also, their strength lies more in a hardware+software integrated platform - unlike PANW or CRWD. If I were you, I would go with CRWD, simply because their space is more scalable.

Those are my 'two cents'. Hope it was helpful.
‱‱
@TheWorst That was definitely helpful, thank you very much. I found a super cheap entry point at FTNT, but I'll have to take a look at the stagnating growth myself

@8fionn Another thing that could be interesting for you: The customer landscapes are completely different. PANW and CRWD are more popular in the US, while FTNT is more popular in Europe. CRWD and PANW have mainly large customers like Microsoft. FTNT, on the other hand, mainly has mid-sized to smaller companies - as far as I remember correctly. 👍

Yesterday I bought Visa instead of Mastercard. Reason: I have 8 credit cards in my wallet and 7 are Visa.
I seem to have a problem...
