General Electric ($GCP (+1,81ย %)) โ€” One of the largest companies in the United States announced that it would split into three publicly traded companies. These companies will then focus on the โ€œAviation,โ€ โ€œHealth Care,โ€ and โ€œEnergyโ€ sectors. Wall Street analysts support the companyโ€™s plan. This could enable GE to break free from its surprisingly weak performance over the past two decades.

Tesla ($TL0 (+9,05ย %)) - Elon Muskโ€™s brother, Kimbal Musk (pictured on the right), sold Tesla shares shortly before his brotherโ€™s Twitter poll. As previously reported, Elon Musk held a Twitter poll on whether to sell 10 percent of his Tesla shares. The majority of his followers voted in favor of the sale. As a result, Teslaโ€™s stock price briefly plummeted to just under 880 euros. Now, Elon Musk could once again find himself in hot water with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) due to his market-moving tweets. Furthermore, publicly available SEC filings show that Kendal Musk, who is also on Teslaโ€™s board of directors, apparently cashed out his Tesla shares before the poll. He exercised an option to buy 25,000 Tesla shares at a price of $74.17 each and immediately sold them at prices ranging from $1,223 to $1,236. This resulted in a profit of $108.8 million. It remains unclear whether he knew about his brotherโ€™s upcoming Twitter poll.

ING Group ($INN1 (+0,75ย %)) - INGโ€™s CIO, Annerie Vreugdenhil, announced at the Singapore FinTech Festival that the bankโ€”known for its orange lion and its advertising campaign featuring Dirk Nowitzkiโ€”is currently working on a DeFi (Decentralized Finance) P2P lending project. It is doing so in cooperation with the Dutch financial regulator, the AFM. The major bankโ€™s ambition to become part of the crypto world became widely known, at the latest, through the white paper published in early 2021, in which it discusses how banks can learn from developments in the crypto sector. ING named Aave ($AAVE/EUR (-2,09ย %)) as a strong partnerโ€”a project that offers interest on over-collateralized crypto assets without the need for an intermediary.

Apple ($APC (-0,31ย %)) โ€” The CEO of the tech giant stated yesterday that he personally holds cryptocurrencies, specifically Ethereum and Bitcoin. However, according to his statements, Apple currently has no plans to invest in cryptocurrencies.
