@Hotte1909 I'm still taking a close look at the Trading212 app. I'm actually really impressed with how intuitive and comprehensive everything is. But the tax thing is slowing me down, I don't want to be obliged to submit a tax return to the tax office. And that would probably be the case because it's not paid automatically.

@Propheteus Unfortunately, that is correct. However, a tax return is actually always worthwhile. Especially as an employee. You pay your income tax anyway and you always get something back due to commuting postage, business expenses, etc.. Even if it's only €100. To have or not to have.... Because I have to make a tax return as a self-employed person anyway, 212 even gives me the advantage that I can continue to work with the dividends etc. for the time being

@Hotte1909 Yes, I know that, but it's just a math problem for me. If I declare capital gains etc. on my tax return, they are added to my income when calculating maintenance. And the more successful this is, the more I pay in alimony. But I'm currently working with a tax advisor on the overall analysis......

@Propheteus oh yes ok I agree with you. Are capital gains added on at 100%? Fortunately, I'm not in that situation, so I've never looked into it... how does that work with the current income? I am reporting that you are now paying tax on it, which means that the profits are now there too.

@Hotte1909 Yes, but they are automatically deducted by TR and Scalable, so I don't have to file an income tax return for tax class 1. I'm probably giving away quite a lot of money (home office, property, etc.) but tax refunds and capital gains (including dividends) are added to my annual income and taken into account when calculating maintenance. And then earning money is less fun..........I'm not quite through with the topic yet, but it's really complicated without a lawyer and tax advisor.
