Formycon

Hi everyone, I have previously written about CDMOs, which play an important role in the pharmaceutical industry. These organizations provide comprehensive services ranging from drug development to manufacturing. They allow pharmaceutical companies to outsource their manufacturing capabilities and focus on their core competencies. In this context, I would like to give some examples of CDMOs and also talk about biosimilars, in particular Formycon $FYB (-1.33%) a German company that is active in this area. I learned about Formycon through @cashwithhead who shared interesting insights about them.

Some examples of CDMO companies are:

• Lonza Group: a leading Swiss company specializing in biologics and small molecules.
• Catalent: Based in the USA, Catalent focuses on drug delivery technologies.
• Thermo Fisher Scientific: This company provides comprehensive CDMO services and generates significant revenues in its business areas.

Biosimilars are biological medical products that are highly similar to already approved reference products and differ only in minor clinically inactive components. They are developed to offer similar efficacy and safety profiles, possibly at a lower cost.

An example of a biosimilar company is Formycon AG, a German company. Formycon is a major developer of biosimilars and focuses on the entire life cycle from development to regulatory approval. The company is known for its innovative approaches to creating biosimilar therapies.

Another example would be Biogen, which is active in the field of biosimilars. Biogen recently launched TOFIDENCE (tocilizumab-bavi), a biosimilar that references Actemra. TOFIDENCE was the first FDA-approved tocilizumab biosimilar in the U.S. and offers patients a more cost-effective treatment option for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Another depot update. Values are not quite correct but the reference value is. The crypto values are completely wrong but I have no idea where the entry price is (made kind of annoying at Coinbase). The best positions at the moment are $SOFI (+3.84%)

$D05 (+0.79%) . The interesting values for me are $BNTX (+6.37%)
$FYB (-1.33%)

$FYB (-1.33%) Formycon has much more to offer, both Novartis/Sandoz and Fresenius are interested in the company according to stock market information. However, a takeover now would be much too early and bad for shareholders. Now already a biosimilar in the market, more will follow from 2024/2025 it will be really interesting. The 16% increase in the share price today was just the beginning. Price targets 500 - 1000 €. Thus a 10 bagger. Read the 60 page report "Formycon the next Tenbagger", available at Amazon.

Besides BioNTech, the Formycon AG share is my second Corona bet. Unfortunately, it has not yet worked out in this case. With an entry at approx. 65€, I am now at approx. -20% return 🆘.

What does Formycon do?

"Formycon continues to advance the development of its COVID-19 drug candidate FYB207. An expansion of preclinical efficacy testing is planned, the company reported Wednesday. Most recently, FY207 had produced multiple positive results, but at the same time is still far from being used in everyday life."

That sounds bullish for now. The results of the first clinical studies and a possible subsequent approval will determine to what extent a price rocket will ignite here.
