Beginner portfolio expansion 🧐

🆕I've been on the stock market and GetQuin for almost 2 months now. Like everyone else, I've had to take a lot of hits in the meantime, especially when it comes to my tech positions. Nevertheless, the build-up of my portfolio is not complete and I still have €7000 cash reserve left.

Taking a closer look at my investments, the following markets are currently covered:

🇺🇸USA Tech: $NVDA (-7.25%) , $GOOGL (-2.49%)

🇩🇪DE Infrastructure/Sustainability: $VOS (-9.05%)
$2GB (-6.57%)
$DEZ (-10.44%)

🇨🇳China Consumer goods/tech:$1810 (-8.17%)

+ Core ETF+ Satelite $VWCE (-5.52%) + $WSML (-4.27%)

📉I am currently already invested with just under €7000. Now, given the current market phase, I would like to invest a further €6000 to complete my portfolio.

🛒Another €3150 will initially flow into the core ETF to build a stable base. In addition, just under €700 should go into defensive stocks such as perhaps$ULVR (-3.5%) or$PEP (-1.81%) should be bought.

☝🏼Wie does that sound good to you?

❓Now the question arises as to what I can do with the remaining available capital. Pharma would be one idea, but I have to be honest and admit that I only have a semi-understanding of the companies and their products. 🫠

👀Of course, I would like to invest my money in a future-oriented way, in stocks that offer good development potential and could also be valued favorably at the moment. 🔮

😵‍💫Als However, as a complete beginner, I find it difficult to recognize such stocks, as there are simply too many ways to get rid of your money.

Which sectors, shares or ETFs would you consider?

Have a nice Sunday everyone! ☀️

It's good that you are starting at all! The question you have to ask yourself is "what kind of strategy do you want to pursue"? Growth-oriented? Or more dividend oriented? There are a lot of possibilities, but if you don't have a real strategy yet, then I would really only expand the ETF for the time being. Because starting with individual shares without know-how can quickly burn your fingers. Otherwise, stay tuned!

@Aktienhauptmeister I am betting on Core - Satelite with growth. Dividends are now less of a priority. I want to invest for the long term. That's why I'm building up the ETF now. On the other hand, I also have the feeling that I might be missing out on a good investment opportunity if I don't invest in one or two individual shares now 😅

At the moment, you are already focusing on a core+satellite strategy, among other things. If I were you, I would perhaps continue to invest here and otherwise follow the markets first to see how certain events affect the market, which companies are suitable for your strategy (think about it first, of course) and so on.

Hope this helps you! 😎

@batic420 Yes, exactly. The focus is on Core satelite with the All World ETF. I'm currently just looking for more satellites that I could add 😅

@sakamo I see, of course you're spoiled for choice here 😅
Have you already looked into areas such as the emerging markets or Europe? If not, I would recommend doing some research here first. 😎

@batic420 Europe so far only the classics such as $NOVO B or infrastructure from DE. Emerging markets are China, in the direction of $1810 or $BYD. China could definitely be worth an investment in my opinion, although I already have a small position there. To be honest, I don't know much about Europe :(((

The broader the better. Expand the ETF core!
