Friday was a special day because I became a father for the first time 👶. To celebrate the occasion, I bought my son gold, silver, Bitcoin, and the NASDAQ 100 ETF, all for 2,500€ each.

1.) UBS NASDAQ 100 ETF A412XA, TER: 0.13%

2.) WisdomTree Physical Swiss Gold USD ETC A1DCTK, TER: 0.15%

3.) WisdomTree Core Physical Silver ETC A4AE1X, TER: 0.19%

4.) Bitcoin (Alternative: 21shares Bitcoin Core ETP A3GZ2Z, TER: 0.10%)

The last three are tax-free after a one-year holding period. The greedy government gets nothing. Just a few hours after his birth, my son is already a Bitcoin holder, a shareholder, and a precious metals investor. Priorities. And there you have it: the “Junior Portfolio.” What do you have in your child’s junior portfolio?

We discussed these two precious metal ETCs in podcast episode 159: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3K5LRl3gTl0OlxaA12xPob?si=ojJydfKPSHWpsW2Hw4etJA&nd=1&dlsi=ea7ce84bd4f6449f

And let your son’s mom get some sleep every now and then. 😅

Congratulations on the birth of your son. 🙂

Just one thing: How were you able to open a brokerage account in his name so quickly—you just got the birth certificate, right? Or did you put the documents in your own account for now and will transfer them once the account is set up?

Having a brokerage account right from the start—and especially on that scale—is, of course, nice. My two kids are 7 and 9, and I have about 15,000 per child invested in global ETFs and a little BTC.

Congratulations on the birth of your child!
Regarding your question about junior investment accounts: My son's portfolio is 75% Bitcoin.

Congratulations! That’s already quite a full backpack for the little one. Wishing you strength, patience, joy, and always a lucky hand. And, of course, wishing your little one a safe, peaceful childhood and good health.

The greedy government uses taxes to pay for your son's education. Please reconsider your attitude toward taxes.

Congratulations :) I have a daughter who is 15 months old.
We put all the money we received as a birth gift (which wasn’t earmarked for a specific purpose, like “use this to buy a stroller”) into the MSCI World ETF. In addition, we contribute €100 a month to this ETF, and she also gets Traderepublic cashback.
All other cash gifts go into a savings account, and as soon as there’s another big market crash, the money will flow into the market. The only condition is that she keeps €2,500 in cash as an emergency fund. Just in case she ever has a major expense.

Have fun with the little one—I thought it was one of the best times of my life 👍🏻
Congratulations!!
2,500 euros? 😳
Don't you want to adopt me? Please, please. I'd be happy with just 2,000 euros. 😀
First of all, congratulations! Are you just going to leave the NASDAQ as is, or will you continue to contribute to it or add to it?
