Sparkasse is the most popular? To be honest, I don't know anyone who says how cool they are. It's probably a similar phenomenon to the Greens. Everyone hates them and nobody votes for them, but they're still in the government 🤷‍♂️

@Bosshaft I don't like the Sparkasse either. The fees are insane, of course. But it's represented everywhere in Germany. I've never had a problem getting money anywhere. I've already looked at other banks, but if I want to deposit money, I don't want to do it in a REWE or DM. There are plenty that offer good conditions, but they usually have a catch.

@Zony At ING you get a credit card with your current card and can use it to withdraw money from any ATM. You pay 99 cents a month for the debit card and nothing more. I thought the system of being able to withdraw money everywhere was normal

@Bosshaft classic grandpa / grandma probably ... "I've always been there" - the ÖRR says it's necessary to charge fees. But I still have my branch 20km away where I can take the remittance slip.

@Bosshaft That's probably true. What about the fees for withdrawing money with a third-party card?
profile image
@Bosshaft Especially in rural areas, there are often only Sparkasse ATMs for withdrawing money. That's why I have a second account there. I could imagine that it's the same for many people.
profile image
@Zony Some time ago they changed it so that you have to withdraw at least €50 for it to remain free. Anything less than that you pay a small fee except at ING ATMs.

@Bosshaft it says that most people have their main account at a savings bank, not that it is automatically popular. it should first be clarified what a main account is and what is popular. normal market research is completely misinterpreted here.

Comdirect & C24, very satisfied with both accounts.

@Bosshaft

Like songs by ModernTalking, nobody knows the songs, but they sing the lyrics when songs are playing 😅🤣

@Bosshaft Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to deposit money at ING. I don't have this problem myself, as I hardly ever use cash, but my girlfriend does.

@Dom_i satisfied there? I'm also considering switching my account there :)
@trashtalker98 Yes, very satisfied!
I've been there since May this year, before that I was with Sparkasse.
Can recommend C24 with a clear conscience ☺️

I agree with $INGA and N26 ✌️. Previously with Sparkasse for years.

Luckily I switched from VR Bank to C24 this year... Best decision!

I've been thinking about switching to ING for a while now. However, what is stopping me is the possibility of being able to deposit cash. I don't have an ING ATM near me because I live in a rural area and otherwise the deposit costs 1.5%... Or how do you solve this?

Hi,

I'm still with Sparkasse and am currently thinking about switching.

Which one is good and cheap?
I also need a credit card with favorable conditions.

At the savings bank. As our house runs through it. However, we only keep our salary accounts at a minimum. We have withdrawn everything else and invested it or parked it at better interest rates.

I left the savings bank. It would no longer be an option for me. Outdated and the customer service isn't great either.
I'm with an online bank and I'm very happy with the offer.
C24 Bank

@PremiumSparkassler Since I knew even more savings banks from other federal states and some say the same thing, it's probably something more general 😉

I closed my Sparkasse account about 3-4 years ago and switched to DKB. The monthly fees of €7.50 at Sparkasse bothered me. For years I was able to withdraw money from Sparkasse free of charge as a third-party customer, but a few months ago I realized that they now charge €3.50 for every withdrawal by third-party customers. Now I only withdraw money at supermarkets.

@WarrenNakamoto I've never paid anything to hand it in. Or was your withdrawal less than 100€?
profile image
@Investor_in_Jogginghose I don't know, but I didn't have to pay anything under €100 until a few months ago
profile image
@WarrenNakamoto if you withdraw 50 euros or more, it should usually be free of charge
1
profile image
@Ole-Abeln yes from DKB but the costs are charged by the savings bank
profile image
@WarrenNakamoto I'm with Consorsbank, so I can withdraw anywhere free of charge as long as it's more than €50, and there are no fees at Sparkasse either

@Ole-Abeln Perhaps the individual savings banks do this differently

@WarrenNakamoto that can be good

Only C24 Bank, all others have been terminated except those with custody accounts. C24 will become one of the leading direct banks for the younger target group. No other bank has such a clear app, easy account transfer, 2% on current accounts and 2% on call money accounts, free withdrawals and account management without fees... plus super fast and competent customer service... I hope it stays that way. I can only recommend it to everyone.
Anyone else who still pays fees for their account or doesn't get any interest on their balance doesn't have their finances under control.

But I'm currently looking for an alternative at DKB because this bank is doing everything wrong at the moment. I can't recommend it.
