@BavarianLion Not looking at the portfolio regularly also helps in practice. Experience has shown that watching prices fall further and further is not helpful in such phases and usually leads to reactions that you regret a little later 👍

@BamBamInvest I've had some experience on the stock market for a while (since 2016)! However, for personal reasons (stroke of fate) I sold everything in spring 2024 and got back in this year 🙂

probably also depends a little on how diversified you are. Admittedly, American securities are certainly not yet so affected, at least at the moment...however, everything will sort itself out again. I'll have to see what happens to ZIM's Israeli shipping company shares now, they've just recovered a bit - maybe a chance, we'll see.

@ZaphodB I believe that the effects of the tariffs and the attack now (depending on how long it lasts) will only be felt in the second half of the year and will be reflected in the economy, but let's see. Where there are risks, there are also opportunities, I'm curious to see what else happens over the weekend and how the market reacts on Monday.

@BavarianLion I haven't heard anything about this either, but I can't really imagine that anyone really wants to get involved. To be completely honest, I don't think Iran has a great deal to offer militarily. Perhaps now would be an opportunity, especially for the Iranian people, to put an end to the spook and send the mullahs into retirement. THAT would offer incalculable economic opportunities. We will see. So far, the problem has always been that nobody has "finished" anything.

@ZaphodB Exactly my opinion! If the whole people would stand up now, then there would be a chance to really change something! As for the Arab states, I don't think they want to ruin their good relations with the USA because of a few crazy fundamentalists in Iran! They will sit it out and secretly hope that the mullahs will finally be driven out 😉

@BavarianLion I heard from a friend whose family lives in Tel Aviv that some people go out into the street to look at it and it feels like 200 rockets have come down, but all but 3-4 of them are intercepted by the defense systems. I haven't read anything more detailed yet, but I haven't done any further research either. But there will certainly be more today or tomorrow. Let's see what happens .

@ZaphodB I have also heard that the Israelis have the best missile defense systems and that the damage is still limited, let's hope that it doesn't escalate any further.

@BamBamInvest It was clear that the "Iron Dome" would bring down almost everything 👍 2-3 missiles always get through, of course, but there's nothing much Iran can do now! Israel can penetrate Iranian airspace virtually unhindered because they have destroyed all the radar systems! If the Iranians are smart, they'll keep their heads down!
