I see small caps + Europe etf as a drag on returns.
I would rather look to invest in novo, asml, lvmh, especially in Europe (which also have good prices at the moment)

In the very long term, small caps have performed better (depending on the duration/period under review, of course), they had a risk premium, but in the last few years big tech just ran away and left small caps out in the cold, which is why you can tend to take this view.
That's why I find it rather difficult to make such a sweeping statement.

As you say, it always depends on the time period.
To the extent that my colleague also wants to save in these funds, i.e. 10% small + 10% Europe, I see this as a drag on returns and I think this would also be confirmed over the last few years.
But that was just my opinion 👍
