Been investing since December and currently rocking a core-satellite setup: $VWRL (+0,12 %) as the base, balanced with Tech ($ASML (+1,03 %) , $AVGO (+1,08 %) , $MSFT (+0,17 %) , $AMZN (+0,32 %) ) and dividend stocks ($AD (-0,13 %), $ASRNL (-0,45 %) , $NN (-0,78 %)).

Curious what you guys think of the current distribution, and do you have any good suggestions or solid picks to check out for the final push?

VWRL has most of the tech stocks, wondering what is the reason to buy those considering charges, rest looks fine

@lang_zaam_rijker VWRL is my foundation, but I buy individual tech stocks to overweight the companies I believe in most.

That said, I still want to branch out a bit more beyond tech. Any thoughts on how you’d tackle sector diversification here?

@Timdie I buy individual tech stocks to overweight the companies I believe in most. still ok as long you dont have to pay more as they are USD based , maybe switch your strategy over EU stocks such as ASML ,AH and VWRL has more diversity and its tracks FTSE world index so you are buying not only US but almost all world stocks

@Timdie you should also think about the percentage of the individual stock in your portfolio.
Does adding less than 5% of your portfolio to an individual stock give you a performance boost or dividends or just bloating your portfolio?

@Timdie filter out holdings in VWRL and only buy stocks which are not part of VWRL and EU based , and if your aim is dividend that you are anyways getting from VWRL

@Timdie I cannot give you advice on what feels right for you.
If a company is already making up 5% of your portfolio because of its representation in the ETF or a sector is already at 15% because of that, you need to decide what is the right size.
I personally don't think that allocations below 5% have any meaningful impact unless they generate a constant dividends flow.
