3 Series Leveraged ETF on NASDAQ 100
Is it actually possible to suffer a total loss because it is leveraged? So if the NASDAQ-100 falls by 34%, multiplied by 3 that is a price loss of over 100%.

42I don't know whether the market will recover soon. At least that's what the price and VIX value look like.
I was lucky and a bit unlucky. Bad luck is triggering the limit buy of my ETF at 100, 98 and 96 each 1000, so I had no money left when the ETF was at 80. Or now numerous stocks at extreme prices like Nvidia at 78 or so. I was only allowed to watch. But I was also lucky that I had wanted to leverage the NASDAQ for months and found an entry point here. OK, I probably have one of the worst prices among you at 130 euros for a 1500 euro position. But I'm glad that I got in here.
I think it's good that I kept calm this time. I remember a fall 1-2 years ago that I sold 3500 Euro SP500 at a low with 1% profit out of "panic" or fear of a third world war. Ouch, that still hurts me, that's a lot of money. After that, the price went up a cool 40%. This time I am strictly buy and hold. I haven't sold anything and am only buying more. I'm definitely pleased that I behaved better here and had my emotions under control.
Of course, only if the price stabilizes. If the price continues to plummet and never recovers, I'll retract my words and say I've lost 😅
So, I've slowly had enough of the sell-off. After my exit on March 3, I am now slowly re-entering the market.
@Esperanza Let's go! Nasdaq leverage band unite!
Can't believe it, everyone is still crashing today, even though so many people crashed yesterday. People who have experience with leverage: You just buy more to make up for the purchase, right? At -33% I lose everything, right? I have limit buy at 130 once, 125 twice...
PS. My alarm just went off for msci world. Dropped to 91.8. I am very surprised in any case.
I entered with 150 shares on Wednesday and closed the trade at the end of the week. Let's see what happens next week...maybe I'll get in again.
Do you have the $QQQ3 (+1,83 %) in your portfolio and if so, are you holding for the long or short term?
Have a nice weekend everyone! ✌🏼
