In my search for global energy and uranium markets, I found the world leader in uranium mining - Kazatomprom $KAP (-1,86 %) .

$KAP (-1,86 %) Kazatomprom is the largest uranium producer in the world with a share of about 20-24% of global uranium production. They mine using an efficient extraction technology, namely ISR extraction. This allows them to keep costs low and work efficiently. The aim is also to protect the environment a little more, which is difficult to understand when mining earth.

Due to their proximity to the state and Kazakhstan's national nuclear corporation, they have special privileges and are not subject to competitive procedures. In other words, a state-owned moat share.

In 2023, sales increased by 43%, but uranium prices have also risen sharply. Which is also an advantage due to high demand. For me, uranium is the contaminated gold, so to speak.

Kazatomprom also relies on sulphuric acid production, which strengthens the input supply, stabilizes costs and also has less impact on the environment.

The dividend yield is currently €2.03 or just over 5%. Robust earnings power should result in a stable dividend policy.

The working conditions in the mining area comply with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and have a very low level of radiation exposure for employees.

For dividend investors looking for stable demand for uranium in the coming years, this may be an opportunity and an interesting addition.

For some, this share may still be an unknown commodity. This article is only an introduction to the company, not a cheap or expensive investment opportunity.

Hello dear Getquin Community,

today I would like to introduce you to the exciting topic frontier markets which is currently on everyone's lips. Anyone who follows the flow of money will quickly realize that there is no way around these markets in the future. After thorough research, I would like to introduce you to 10 shares and 5 ETFs with enormous potential.

Significance

Frontier markets are the bridge between emerging and industrialized countries. The MSCI Frontier Markets Index comprises 233 companies from 28 countries and covers around 85 % of the freely tradable market capitalization. They are still at the beginning of their capital market development, but this is precisely where the appeal lies.

Development and potential

In 2024, the index achieved a return of just under 10 % in USD. Individual companies such as Kaspi.kz, OMV Petrom and Vinhomes are already generating billions in profits and proving that frontier markets are no longer an exotic fringe phenomenon, but platforms for sustainable growth. For investors, this opens up opportunities for uncorrelated returns and the chance to enter future emerging markets at an early stage.

Sectors and regions

The strongest segments are Banks & Fintechs (Kaspi.kz, Attijariwafa, Banca Transilvania), Commodities & Energy (Kazatomprom, OMV Petrom), Real Estate (Vinhomes) and Industrials & Pharmaceuticals (Hoa Phat, KRKA). Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Romania and Morocco dominate regionally, while Africa offers diversification through broadly diversified indices.

$KSPI (+1,23 %) Kaspi.kz (Kazakhstan, Fintech & E-Commerce)

$DX2Z (+0,28 %) Xtrackers S&P Select Frontier Swap ETF (WKN: DBX1A9)

$XMKA (-0,48 %) MSCI EFM Africa Top 50 Capped Swap ETF (WKN: DBX0HX)

$FM iShares MSCI Frontier and Select EM ETF (Ticker: FM, US)

Takeaway

Frontier markets are volatile, but their combination of growth, diversification and high margins makes them a strategic building block for any forward-looking portfolio. However, many shares and ETFs are difficult to access in Germany. The key question: who will recognize the potential of these markets early enough and position themselves before they are discovered by the mainstream?

Portfolio feedback requested

I (early 50s, so still a good 15 years to work on the portfolio) would like to hear your opinion. I've been with Trade Republic since January, mainly because of the 4%. But then I started saving a few ETFs, then buying and selling a few shares. So I played around. At the moment my portfolio has three or rather four different parts. Let's put it this way, the family treasury has given me around €10k to play with. The rest remains in call money.

Of this 10K I would like to have a part to play, individual stocks, §IWDA, other ETFs that are close to me because of my work, XRP.

But that's not my topic here.

I want to build a dividend portfolio. Reduce working hours or improve pension, we'll see where the journey takes me. For now, I would reinvest all payouts.

The composition from December would look like this:

$MCD (-1,4 %) 15%

$EXSH (+0,4 %) 9%

$MAIN (-1,16 %) 9%

$ARCC (-0,18 %) 9%

$HTGC (-0,14 %) 9%

$O (+0 %) 9%

$CSWC (+0,85 %) 5%

$PFE (-0,63 %) 5%

$KAP (-1,86 %) 5%

$JEGP (-0,39 %) 5%

$TGT (-3,19 %) 3,5%

$GAIN (-0,76 %) 5%

$QYLE (+0,16 %) 5%

$VHYL (-0,28 %) 1%

What do you think about the composition? Should something go in/out?

My aim would be to distribute the monthly distributions evenly. I'll have to play around with the ratios a bit.

My problem is that the months of January, February, April and May look too poor. What would you suggest that pays out in these months?

Roast me!

Interesting share.

I think it was another cheap purchase price.
