This month I got my first dividend payments since I've started investing in February from $O (+1.99%)
$VICI (+2.31%) and $VWRL (+0.65%) and the REITS went up nicely to cover the crash and my EUR>USD loss on paper. Let's see if the orange man can give more discounts soon.

Riding a Market Crash - My Second Portfolio Update!
I recently started my investing journey in February—just before the market started dipping—and I wanted to share my second portfolio update and some of the lessons I’ve learned early on.
I began with a focus on building a dividend portfolio, leaning toward REITs like VICI ($VICI (+2.31%) ) and Realty Income ($O (+1.99%)). Despite the market correction, these stocks held up fairly well, and by the end of March, my portfolio hit around $11K with an expected $440 in annual dividend income. I'm now working toward a short-term goal of $500/year in dividends.
In my latest YouTube video, I walk through:
- My first few transactions as a new investor
- What it was like investing during a downturn
- Why I focused on defensive stocks and REITs
- The early performance of my picks
- My next goals and plans for the channel
Would love to hear your thoughts—how did your first few months of investing go? Did you also start during a rocky market? What helped you stay calm or focused?
Here’s the full video if you’re curious:
Looking forward to learning from others here and sharing the journey!
New purchase, new luck
When I analyzed various #reit analyzed, I decided on 2 companies and set their buy prices below the current prices. My iPhone just vibrated and lo and behold, I have $VICI (+2.31%) bought, as desired, below €29. If you would like more information, please watch the video. You can see all the reasons behind it. See note below ;)
Best regards,

The majority of the GQ community is really great.
Unfortunately, there are a few "mimimis", "sheriffs", "bored", "envious", etc. who complain that I include links to my respective YouTube video.
It just so happens that my main channel is YouTube. I'm not going to write huge treatises and post them here when I can do the whole thing in short videos.
That's why I no longer link to videos, but you can find them on my YouTube channel and subscribe.
Everyone else, you are free people, you don't have to get upset, attack me, etc. - block me and enjoy your life.

Portfolio first dividend payment
Got my portfolio first dividend payment of $VICI (+2.31%) , lets hope the dollar will crash some more, so that I can increase my stocks with discount.
Started investing during a market crash - My First Portfolio Update
I just launched my first portfolio update on YouTube, and it’s been quite the ride so far! My investing journey started in February—right before a market correction. Talk about timing, right? 😅
In my first few months, I focused on building a defensive portfolio, investing in $VICI (+2.31%) (a high-dividend REIT) and the Vanguard All-World ETF ($VWRL (+0.65%) ). But when the market dipped and the media went into panic mode, I had to make some tough decisions.
Instead of panic-selling, I took a calculated risk: I shifted my VWRL holdings into VICI, right before its ex-dividend date. Turns out, that move paid off! My portfolio rebounded, and I’m now expecting $200 in annual dividends—a great start toward my long-term goal of hitting $500 per year.
In the video, I break down:
✅ My first transactions & portfolio value
✅ How I reacted to my first market correction
✅ My strategy for dividend investing
✅ My future plans, including stock analysis & portfolio growth
If you’re interested in dividend investing, market strategies, or just following a beginner’s journey, I’d love for you to check it out. Plus, I’ll be launching a stock analysis series soon!
