𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 🏛️

Hahn Airport - After the Chinese HNA Group, which owns 82.5% of the airport, filed for insolvency earlier this year, the airport is now insolvent as well. At the time, the airport counted 4 million passengers annually, but after Ryanair diverted more and more flights to other airports, there were only 1.5 million passengers in 2019. After the HNA bankruptcy, however, the airport management was sure that this would not change anything in the operation.

Netflix ($NFC (+1.43%)) - Quarterly numbers beat expectations:

User growth: 4.4 million instead of the expected 3.84

Earnings per share: $3.19 instead of $2.56

Revenue: $7.46 billion as expected

The reason for this strong growth was, among others, the successful series "Money Heist", "Sex Education" and "Squid Game". The latter was even streamed by 142 million users within 4 weeks of its release, making it the most successful Netflix production to date.

ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF - The first day of trading makes history as the new ETF pulled in nearly $1 billion in trading volume, making it the most successful ETF launch on the New York Stock Exchange.

At the same time, the bitcoin price ($64,608.00) rose to nearly its all-time high ($64,805.00), the BTC/EUR ($BTC-EUR (-0.24%)) trading pair even managed to surpass the all-time high ($55,148.61)!

Oyo - The SoftBank ($3AG1 (-0.7%)) financed, Indian hotel chain is planning an IPO soon. Expectations for the capital increase through the IPO are very high. The plan is to raise nearly $1.2 billion. It said it would use the proceeds from the IPO to settle existing debt and fund growth, which could include mergers and acquisitions. In 2019, the company reported revenue of $951 million and a loss of $335 million. India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Europe are the company's core markets, according to its own statements, in which it primarily intends to grow further in the future.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 🏛️

Inflation - Inflation in the euro zone rose to 3.4%, estimated to rise to 3.3%. This is the highest level in 13 years. This is the third consecutive month that the inflation rate has been above the ECB's target. One of the main reasons for the increase is energy prices. If you exclude the main drivers food and energy prices, inflation is still at 1.9%, after it was still at 1.6% in August.

The DAX fell sharply today and broke through the 15,000-point mark.

Allianz ($ALV (+0.8%)) - The Munich-based company was able to transfer a legacy portfolio of Swiss life insurance policies to reinsurer Resolution Re. This will provide Allianz with a financial boost worth billions of euros, which should help protect against upcoming penalty payments.

In addition, Jacqueline Hunt, Member of the Board of Management for Asset Management and U.S. Life Insurance, has stepped down from her post early.

Twitter ($TWR) - The social media and news platform has been a central building block in terms of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and their uses for quite some time. In recent months, for example, more and more well-known personalities, such as Mike Tyson, Timmy Trumpet, Marshmello or Stephen Curry, changed their profile pictures into well-known NFTs (see picture). Predestined for the use as profile picture are especially avatar NFT projects like CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club or Cool Cats. However, a big problem up to now was that anyone could change their profile picture on Twitter into an NFT, even if this person was not the "rightful" owner of the NFT. Twitter now wants to combat this by using a new feature to verify the authenticity of an NFT. NFTs that were actually purchased by the owner of the Twitter account are then marked with a seal accordingly. This increases the usability of NFTs even further and makes it even more attractive for people to invest in them.
