Sam Bankman-Fried from FTX ($FTT (-1.45%) ), was sentenced to 25 years years in prison after he defrauded FTX customers of a total of 8 billion
US dollars clients. Bankman-Fried was found guilty of secretly investing FTX client money in a hedge fund that "failed" and resulted in a billion dollar loss for FTX.

FTX increased its revenue by 1,000% during the crypto craze, leaked financial data shows

#ftx saw explosive growth last year driven by its global trading business, according to audited financial reports. The exchange's revenue rose from less than $90 million in 2020 to more than $1 billion last year as cryptocurrencies hit an all-time high. Its U.S. business was a drop in the bucket, accounting for less than 5% of revenue. CEO Sam Bankman-Fried's empire expanded as FTX bought startups in Switzerland and Australia.
