Target list 2026

Happy New Year first of all. 🎊

Having achieved most of my goals in 2025, I would now like to set myself ambitious goals for 2026.

I would like to use the same categories as in 2025.

My current portfolio value is €148,421.85, as shown below.

After a very eventful year in 2025, I can focus entirely on maximizing my savings rate this year, as there are no important changes in my personal or professional life.

The most important thing for me will be to reach the portfolio value of €200,000, which is quite ambitious given my starting value and my deposits, and assuming that the market plays along properly.

Despite my ambitions, it is again very important to me to achieve a balance between a patronizing life and a decent savings rate. To this end, I have set my savings rate so that I still have some fun money left over each month (approx. €1,000) and that I will receive a special payment of €7,000 in November, which I could theoretically invest in full in addition to my normal savings rate.

The dividends from my $VWRL (+0,83%) and $TDIV (-0,05%) will be half reinvested and half consumed.

As last year, another goal will be to add one or more risk/return drivers and I expect myself to have more courage to increase these in bad phases. To this end, the plan is to be a little more active in the return drivers and to take a little more risk alongside my main investments - the target for this would be around 10% of the portfolio.

Goals 2026:

Portfolio value: > €200,000 = main goal

Investments in the amount of: €35,000

Dividends: > € 3,000

Yield driver: add 1 or more - maximum 10% of the portfolio

Travel: travel to 3 new countries - Japan is already booked for May , tbd, tbd

I wish you a great and successful new year. Despite all your ambitions, don't forget about life and enjoy it as much as I enjoy this app and the process of building wealth.

Cheers 2026 🥂

@Yolo55 Thank you! But it could be a little more spice now and then, even if boredom brings the returns 🤞🏼

You need a 10% return on the current portfolio value to reach your target of 200 TE, taking into account deposits and dividends. I don't think that's overly ambitious. But I have no idea whether this is possible with your two ETFs.

@Multibagger I think a 10% return on my current portfolio is already quite ambitious. Certainly always a matter of opinion, depending on the risk profile of the portfolio.

@TaubeSmash That's why I said that I can't assess whether this is possible with ETFs, as this is not one of my core competencies. If others here who are more familiar with WTF say that it's not possible, you just have to add 1-2 growth stocks.

@Multibagger The historical average of the world ETF is 8% and VanEck has made significantly more in recent years, but this is probably not representative. I had included the 1-2 growth stocks in my targets and am trying to add them to my portfolio this year in order to achieve the 10% return.

@TaubeSmash I would find $AMZN and $GOOGL interesting. But I don't know to what extent they fit together with your ETF.

@Multibagger Thanks for the tips, when I was still betting on individual stocks, these two were in my portfolio. However, I would like to have a higher risk/return profile for my individual stocks as otherwise I think the effect on the portfolio would be too small due to the size.

@TaubeSmash OK, I know all about high risk. How much would you like to have and how much vola can you take?

@Multibagger it can be more volatile, I should just understand the business model 😃 The plan would be to bring the position(s) up to 10% of the portfolio so that it has an impact. Do you have any ideas on which direction to take?

@TaubeSmash I find energy in connection with data centers exciting. Some stocks have corrected sharply. For example $IREN. Otherwise commodities. Mining stocks, especially the smaller ones, will continue to outperform significantly in the new year.

Looks great!
Would add a small BTC savings plan and an ETH savings plan, a small gold savings plan and if you want even more thrill, a growth stock that really convinces you. With a target size of 3%,2%,1%,4% of the portfolio.
Just a thought example.

@Wealth-Accelerator Thanks for the tips! I have been looking at gold and BTC for some time, but have not yet been able to bring myself to include them in my portfolio (gold = high valuation, BTC = lack of conviction). However, I could very well imagine growth stocks and gold if it fits.

Classic of B&H investing. 👍

You have to be happy with 7%pa and you have to be able to withstand 50% max drawdown. Not easy.

@Epi A 50% crash like this happens from time to time. It has the dividends for that. They cushion the blow psychologically in such a case.

@Epi Yes, 🤞🏼 I can probably cope very well with the 7% per year, and very few people have experience in handling a 50% drawdown. But I believe that my years on the stock market would also equip me well psychologically for this 😊

@TaubeSmash I'm also curious to see what it will be like in a crash like this. Certainly not easy to endure 🙈

Thanks for sharing and all the best for you. I was in Japan for almost three weeks in May 25 with my wife and daughter (6 months old at the time). It was outstanding, the weak yen means you can switch back to indulgence mode 🚀

@Brazzo_Muc I'm glad to hear that and I'm sure it was unforgettable for you as a family! Which route did you take and can you recommend anything? Greetings from Zurich

@TaubeSmash yes it was absolutely amazing (next week we're going to Singapore with a cruise afterwards)
Our route:
Return flight Munich/Tokyo Haneda non stop
Tokyo -> Hakone (Mt. Fuji)-> Kyoto -> Hiroshima-> Osaka -> Tokyo
Are from place to place by train. Hiroshima can also be done as a day trip with the Shinkansen (because of our daughter we stayed overnight for two days so that it is not too stressful). We also sent our luggage from hotel to hotel. Highly recommended as you only travel with hand luggage. Nice trip

@Brazzo_Muc We also want to take the same route, with Naoshima added to the mix (wife is an art lover). Have fun on your cruise 🙌🏼
