Is Innodata the "little Palantir"?

$INOD (+5,83%)
$PLTR (-0,35%)

Yes— but with one important caveat: I would describe Innodata more as a “small Palantir in the data/AI backend” rather than a mini-Palantir in terms of its actual business model.

In my view, the comparison is particularly interesting precisely because of Innodata’s recent developments:

The key point

is that Innodata is one level below Palantir .

Palantir, for example, takes corporate or government data and builds operational decision-making and AI systems from it.

Innodata, on the other hand, ensures that the data, training datasets, evaluations, and AI workflows actually meet the necessary quality standards.

This becomes particularly clear through a remarkable connection:

Innodata is itself a supplier to Palantir.

Palantir has selected Innodata for data engineering, annotation, and multimodal data processing—including computer vision, video, image, document, and sensor data.

I find this strategically very interesting.

And Innodata is continuing to evolve

The company is no longer just a traditional “data processor.”

In Q2 2026:

  • Revenue +58%
  • Adjusted EBITDA +92%
  • Gross margin 49%
  • Largest customer now only 37% of revenue, down from 56% in Q1
  • New major Frontier AI customer
  • Activities at Agentic AI / Reinforcement Learning
  • AI cyber training
  • Data for Robotics / Physical AI
  • Expansion of evaluation and observability for AI agents.

Innodata – Innodata meldet Rekordergebnisse für das zweite Quartal 2026

Even more interesting: In Q1, a Evaluation & Observability Platform was introduced in Q1, designed to function as a kind of control layer for agent-based AI systems.

So I would put it this way:

Palantir = AI operating system for businesses and governments

Innodata = data/AI infrastructure and quality layer upon which such systems can be built

And that’s exactly where I see the exciting investment story at Innodata.

Because as AI agents, physical AI, robotics, defense AI, and government AI grow rapidly, the demand increases not only for computing power and models—but also for high-quality data, evaluation, security, and continuous training.

That is precisely the layer on which Innodata is increasingly focusing. The company now expects at least 40% revenue growth.

For the tenbagger thesis

I would therefore not simply buy Innodata as a “mini-Palantir”, but rather frame the thesis a bit differently:

“Innodata is a potential ‘picks-and-shovels’ beneficiary of the Palantir/AI revolution.”

And to me, that’s actually the more interesting thesis.

After all, Innodata doesn’t have to become the dominant AI platform itself. It’s enough if more and more AI companies and government organizations require high-quality data, agent training, evaluation, and secure AI workflows .

The fact that Palantir is already an Innodata customermakes this theory particularly plausible.

It's actually a better stock than $PLTR. I'm going to pick up a few shares before the earnings report, too. But more as a trade, really.

@Multibagger I've already had my ups and downs with this stock. I was well in the red at one point, and then I bought more. That's definitely why it's an interesting trade. Good luck, my friend.

Very interesting comparison—I'd like to buy more, but not at that price. I'm currently up about 60%. Let's see what happens....

Great! Yeah, that pretty much says it all. I had actually been thinking about increasing my position a bit more while the stock is still weak—before the next earnings report.

@schlimmschlimm Yeah, look, my position is full. Now we'll have to see how things go at Almonthy.

@Tenbagger-Capital I'd just like to buy it for a few euros less than I'm paying now.

@schlimmschlimm Maybe be patient a little longer. And keep your hands off the trigger.

@Tenbagger-Capital I also think this volatile phase is far from over.

@Tenbagger-Capital Are you still waiting to buy more shares in Almonthy? And were you also invested in $BW, or am I mixing that up with DividendenOPI right now? It seems like a good time to get in or buy more right now. I got back into Almonthy yesterday.

@Sebbster I'm also invested in B&W, but I got in too early. It should bounce back, though. A lot here depends on one project. @Dividendenopi has also done some research on it. I actually have a positive outlook on Almonthy; a lot now depends on Sangdong. And they're looking to get active again in Spain as well.

@Sebbster Almonty is currently at a bit of a crossroads, at least from a technical analysis perspective. Right now, it’s actually an interesting entry point. I’m itching to trade, too, but I’m definitely going to keep my hands off this week. I’m still bearish, at least in the short term. The RSI is weak, and the MACD shows negative momentum. The latest news certainly provides some momentum, but Almonty really needs to start delivering more than just a story on the operational front.

@Sebbster And B&W is and remains a turnaround play. Fundamentally, it’s not in such bad shape, and so far it actually looks like they might be able to stabilize. The current price is intriguing, yes. But you’re venturing onto thin ice, and as you know, the higher the potential return, the greater the risk. I wouldn’t take a large position, but they’re definitely a good choice for a small trade.

@Dividendenopi Thank you so much for your take on this :) What's at the top of your watchlist right now? Are you currently looking at IREN? You've traded that one quite a few times before. I'm curious to see if it'll keep climbing higher or take another small dip.

I'm currently on the sidelines and don't have any specific plans. I last bought Iren at the low in late July and have since sold it for a nice profit; for me, it's not in a zone where I'd consider buying more right now.

I've been in for a long time, and today I'm in the black again, haha. Unfortunately, Scaleble doesn't offer a savings plan.
