Hello dear community,

This is my first post and I would like to know what you think of my portfolio. The history is so young, as I recently switched from Sparkasse to Scalabel Capital.

The savings are in $CSPX (-0,91%)
$EXSA (-1,81%)
$EIMI (-2,98%) and a small part in silver and gold.

I know that the ratio of ETFs to individual positions is not good and that there is a lot of duplication between the individual companies.

About me as a person, I am 18 years old, a student and have been on the stock market for 1 year. I invest my pocket money regularly and buy individual positions when I think the price is good.

What do you think of my portfolio?

Hello Jona, I haven't been around that long either. But I have already done a lot of research. And I do know that it's not a good idea to invest so much in individual shares, especially for smaller assets. With an ETF, you are investing in several hundred or thousand companies, either worldwide, Europe-wide, in Asia or the emerging markets, or possibly in individual sectors. With global ETFs in particular, and to a lesser extent in Europe and then in the emerging markets, you are exposed to far less risk. Your equity exposure should actually only be small. It's a matter of opinion and everyone has to decide for themselves, but it should perhaps be no more than 10 to 15 percent for you. And you have almost half shares. It is highly questionable whether you will make more profit from the shares or perhaps even suffer greater losses. You have the risk of one company instead of many. This can be good or bad, but in general it is not recommended. And of your stocks, I would like to mention Volkswagen as an example. In previous decades, German car manufacturers were at the top. But they have long since moved away from that. And if I had to choose a German car company that I would definitely not want to buy shares in, it would definitely be Volkswagen. One piece of bad news follows another. And this has been the case for many years. If German car manufacturers are not very careful, (German) cars will soon only be available from China. They have made pretty much all the wrong decisions that would have been right for the future. And the first one that may no longer play a major role could be Volkswagen. Of course, you can have different opinions about everything. You've put a lot of effort into your portfolio and maybe it's just right for you. But I think you should read a few guides on ETFs. There is one - especially for beginners - from Stiftung Warentest. Then there are many sites on the Internet that consider themselves particularly valuable for investors in ETFs and shares. And some of them are also very good. But you always have to decide for yourself what you think is right for you. In any case, I wish you every success with your investments. That you make as many profits as possible.
