Tops and flops in May!

I still owe you my top & flops.

In 1st place by a wide margin $DGX (+3,91%) with + 84% in only 8 days! After that I sold it again. It was also part of my Wiki Challenge.

$BB (+8,83%) with + 56% also from the challenge depot follows in 2nd place

$CORT (+1,56%) with + 48% followed by the 3rd value from the challenge portfolio

$ENPH (-7,39%) with + 45%.

After that comes

$IREN (+2,81%) with + 41%

And what I generally find quite surprising is that $JEDI (-8,13%) has made it into the top list as an ETF with + 39%. If there hadn't been a serious setback on Friday, it would even have been in the top 3.

Yes, there were also losers, although the word doesn't really fit.

$FTC (+6,7%) with - 6.5%

$NRXS with - 5.9%

$KYTX with - 2.5%

These are normal fluctuations for these values.

The top 3 have accumulated in the portfolio:

$PPTA (-4,32%) with + 130%

$CORT (+1,56%) with + 110%

$2GB (-0,23%) with + 81%

Flop 3:

$KVHI with - 13 %

$KYTX with - 7,25%

$FTC (+6,7%) with - 6.5%

This shows that the most important thing in such a high risk strategy is to limit losses. Shares that do not perform are eliminated at - 20% at the latest.

I have also reduced the number of positions from over 80 to around 50.

The performance in May according to TTWROR was + 20.5%.

On a YTD basis, I am also at 20.7% due to the disastrous March.

The internal rate of return, because that was also important here recently, is at 55% YTD.

By way of comparison, the TTWROR for the whole of last year was

TTWROR was 91.6%

and the interest rate

was 82.6%.

Of course, it will be difficult to repeat that. But there's no such thing as impossible!

Have a nice weekend!🌞

Everything that has -20% after the purchase flies out mercilessly ? So a hard stoploss ? Isn't that a bit low for one or the other volatile stock ?

@Thunderbolt1978 yes, this can lead to values being sold too early. But I need a maximum excess return of at least 45% net per year for my project (if you don't know it, you'll find plenty of old posts about it). My portfolio value is still relatively small. Normally I expect a monthly price increase of 4-5% from purchased stocks. If they have not achieved this within 3 months of purchase, they are put on the watch list. If I then find a share that promises me a higher return, it is exchanged. You will never find shares in my portfolio that are down 40-50% or more. I don't set hard SLs, but look at the shares regularly. But you mustn't forget. I am not an investor, but rather a trader.
