🟢 Vicor (VICR) – Very Significant Positive News

On September 30, 2026, Vicor significantly raised its Q3 revenue forecast.

• Previously: sequential revenue growth >20%
• New: Sequential revenue growth >30%
• Reason: Higher royalty payments from the first non-exclusive VPD license agreement
• The license pertains to Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) and a new OEM customer in the field of high-performance AI/computing systems.

Vicor Corporation erhöht Umsatzprognosen für das dritte Quartal 2026 | Vicor Corporation

This is for my 16 VICR , this is indeed a highly relevant announcement and not just a price movement.

Why I find it particularly interesting for the 2036 portfolio

The news has two aspects:

1. Short term:

Vicor now expects more than 30% sequential growth —up from the previous forecast of more than 20%. This is a significant upward revision.

2. Strategically:

Even more important to me is the licensing model. Vicor does not monetize its VPD technology exclusively through the sale of its own modules; it can also license its patents to OEMs and hyperscalers. This allows a portion of the AI growth to be generated through licensing fees .

And that aligns very well with my previous Vicor/Depot 2036 thesis: Vicor is positioning its high-density power supplies precisely where the power demand of modern AI accelerators and data centers is rising sharply.

What’s more, Vicor is currently building additional ChiP fabs in New Hampshire . The new facilities are expected to total nearly 1 million square feet ; the existing Fab 1 is nearing its capacity limit.

$VICR (-7,36%)

On September 21, 2026 , Vicor revised its previous forecast for sequential revenue growth in the third quarter from “nearly 10%” to “more than 20%” . This is due to expected licensing revenue from the recently announced agreement regarding Vertical Power Delivery (VPD)technology.

Of particular interest: Vicor says that four leading OEMs and hyperscalers have secured licenses for the power system technology.

This is no ordinary analyst revision, but rather a company-led upward revision of the revenue forecast.

Even more important in this context

The announcement comes just a few days after another strategically important piece of news: Vicor has secured new sites in New Hampshire for ChiP Fab-2 and Fab-3 . Together, the new production facilities are expected to total nearly 1 million square feet . According to the company, the existing Fab-1 is approaching its capacity limit.

Energy management will remain a major issue. That’s why I’m sticking with my investment in Vicor.

ANDOVER, Massachusetts, September 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Vicor has granted a new OEM licensee a non-exclusive license authorizing it to source Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) modules protected by Vicor patents from unlicensed suppliers. VPD enables high-performance AI computing and network processors that are powered by a low-voltage source with high current density. VPD systems, consisting of a “multi-cell converter” and a VPD network, enable breakthrough performance by overcoming the “last-inch problem” of Lateral Power Delivery (LPD). VPD systems are protected by foundational patents covering innovations that emerged from a decade of pioneering research by Vicor in the United States.

Licensees of VPD solutions can source them from unlicensed global suppliers whose multi-cell voltage regulators (VRs) or integrated voltage regulators (IVRs) are stacked in a multi-layer system. Alternatively, licensees also have access to VPD solutions featuring high-current-density, high-gain MCM power multipliers, which are manufactured as ChiPs (Converters housed in Package) in a Vicor production facility. MCMs enable significantly higher overall system efficiency, are substantially thinner, and are mechanically and thermally optimized. By sourcing VPD modules for high-performance AI accelerators from Vicor, licensees can achieve significant discounts on licensing fees for standard VPD modules from non-licensed suppliers. Vicor’s licensing program offers OEMs and hyperscalers flexibility through multiple sources of supply, redundant supply chains, and scalability—including through Vicor’s manufacturing facilities in the U.S.

Then my follow-up purchase might have paid off. I’m staying invested.

ANDOVER, Massachusetts, September 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Vicor (NASDAQ: VICR) is acquiring a 334,000-square-foot building on a 66-hectare industrial site in Merrimack, New Hampshire, as well as a separate 54-hectare parcel of land in Hooksett, New Hampshire. The two sites will be used to expand Vicor’s ChiP Fab-2 and Fab-3, which together cover nearly one million square feet. Fab-2 and Fab-3 will expand total capacity beyond that of ChiP Fab-1, which was built on a 320,000-square-foot site on a 16-hectare lot in Andover, Massachusetts. Fab-1’s utilization is approaching its capacity limit.

With its Vertical Power Delivery (VPD) intellectual property, Vicor achieves the performance required for advanced AI applications, which has previously been limited by the constraints of multiphase voltage regulators (VRs) and integrated voltage regulators (IVRs). The expansion of total capacity—with a lead time of one year until the initial commissioning of ChiP Fab 2—provides the necessary scalability to support OEMs and hyperscalers. This expansion addresses gaps in supply chains, which are increasingly burdened by technical limitations and recurring disruptions caused by patent-infringing power supply systems. Leading OEMs and hyperscalers, whose computer systems were barred from import due to patent-infringing power supply providers, require freedom to operate (FTO) and U.S. sourcing options. Vicor’s licensing practice and the future capacity of multiple ChiP fabs ensure predictability and performance within the AI hardware ecosystem.

Thank you for your introduction to $VICR (-7,36%) Dear @Tenbagger-Capital

After your great introduction the other day, I put it pretty high on my watchlist and have already taken the plunge.

The first 15 are in the bag 🍬

$VICR (-7,36%)

The next candidate from my investment universe that I’d like to briefly introduce is Vicor Corporation $VICR (-7,36%) from the U.S.

As the energy demands of modern AI systems continue to rise, it is becoming increasingly challenging to supply processors with power efficiently and reliably . High power densities in small spaces pose new challenges for power supplies in data centers, robotics, and other high-performance applications.

Vicor develops modular power supply systems, that can deliver the necessary power in a very small space. The company takes a technologically sophisticated approach characterized by high power density and efficient energy conversion. Especially with high-performance AI accelerators, the power supply is increasingly becoming a critical component of the overall system architecture.

For me, Vicor is therefore an exciting company on the DIBS technology path Power & Efficiency within the Physical AI. With a BPS (Bottleneck Potential Score) of 14 , the company ranks among the Core Bottlenecks. Its role as Steady Scout ⛵️ also reflects the fact that Vicor is technologically very interesting, but that the company’s future development remains subject to significant uncertainties.

SPS (Stock Potential Score): 12/15 -> my subjective assessment!

💎 Quality: 4/5 Vicor has a strong technological position and specialized expertise in high-density power supply systems. The company’s quality is high, but due to the fluctuations in business performance to date, it does not, in my view, merit the maximum rating.

🌱 Growth: 4/5 The rising energy demands of AI systems, robotics, and other high-performance applications open up significant long-term growth opportunities. It remains to be seen to what extent Vicor can actually translate this potential into sustainable revenue and earnings growth.

🎯 Strategic Fit: 4/5 In my view, power delivery is one of the key technology pathways within Physical AI. Vicor occupies an interesting position here; however, due to its company size and risk profile, it is classified as a “Steady Scout” in my DIBS system rather than an “Anchor” (i.e., not a highly stable compounder with the greatest market power).

Vicor is a good example of a company that could benefit from a technological bottleneck that is not very visible but is becoming increasingly important: the more powerful modern computer systems become, the more demanding their power supply requirements become.
