I like the ETF and it really seems to be an option for old age, but through $HTGC (-0,77%)
$OBDC (+0%) and $PSA (+0,45%) I already have enough cash flow in my portfolio.
Will be reallocated to the div growth category
$ASML (-0,72%) is out, as I want to focus more on stocks with a healthy trend in the growth part of my portfolio. See the weekly chart.
At the moment I am running a 75/25 strategy with which I feel most comfortable, 15K divided as follows:
Growth 75%: $AVGO (-3,16%)
$COST (+0,22%)
$7011 (-3,2%)
$MUV2 (-0,6%)
$GOOG (-2,32%)
$MUX (+1,91%) (mutares is under observation by me) $2768 (+0%)
Dividend 25%: $OBDC (+0%)
$HTGC (-0,77%)
$PSA (+0,45%)
$JEGP (+0,05%)
Dear community,
I have been a member of getquin for almost 2 months now and I am thrilled with how lively the discussions and contributions are. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to research certain topics and share their knowledge.
I would like to take the opportunity to briefly introduce my portfolio and share my thoughts for 2025.
I have been managing my own investments for 10 years now. I started with ETFs and got into cryptos in 2017 (and got out again after the FTX bankruptcy and the Terra Luna crash). And for a few years now I've also been trading shares and now also real assets (I'm currently testing Timeless). Over the years, I have been able to expand my portfolio.
Due to my family responsibilities, my monthly fixed savings rate is currently €500. I also park monthly surpluses in my call money account and invest them when I see an opportunity. I need a certain amount of cash as we are still renovating and therefore simply need some cash...
My goal is to have at least €500,000 in 10 years so that I can pay off the existing loans on our house. So I would need to generate an annual return of 15%...
Over time, I've built up quite a mix of shares. My credo so far has been not to invest more than €1000 per share (although there have been exceptions) and a stop-loss at 20% below the purchase price. I haven't decided when the best time to sell is and I still don't know which strategy is best for me. I would therefore describe myself more as a hodler...
Now to my plans for 2025.
- I will change the fixed value per share of €1000 and increase it to €5000.
- The stop loss remains in place.
- Keep savings rates at €500 for the time being.
- Reduce the number of shares
- Focus on growth
What could a savings plan look like that I would continue for the next few years?
One point that bothers me is the high proportion of US equities in the global ETFs (cluster risk) - even though this is where most returns have been made historically...
Hence my consideration:
- Save in an ETF with a lower or no USA share (I currently have the following in my portfolio $GERD (-1,1%) where the USA share is only 50% - unfortunately quite expensive with TER 0.5%; or a new start with a $EXUS (-0,61%) ) (share: 40%)
- Saving $MEUD (+0,15%) (20 %), $FLXI (-0,55%) (20%), $WSML (-1,32%) (20%)
- S&P500 or MSCI USA via the 2xSPYTIPS of @Epi (via single payments)
- In addition $BTC (+0,39%) Savings plan of 40€ / week from existing USDC holdings (LTC sales from December) Note: Crypto portfolio cannot be fully mapped in Getquin as the EARN Binance Wallet is not displayed.
What do you think? Does that make sense?
As a next step, am I considering divesting from stocks?
From $OBDC (+0%) I would probably divest myself, possibly also $CSCO (-0,55%) . Can you think of any other shares or ETFs that would make sense to sell due to low growth prospects? I would then invest the free money in 3xGtaaa and shares like $ASML (-0,72%) , $NVDA (-3,63%) ...
Overall, I'm still not sure whether my strategy is quite right. Do you have any ideas, suggestions or comments? I would be grateful for any advice.
Thank you and best regards
Hercules has been going great, now I'm taking ⅓ of the position out for the time being in order to $OBDC (+0%) & $PSA (+0,45%) to the same size as $HTGC (-0,77%) build up.
My dividends from $OBDC (+0%) do not match between the information on the bar and the details at the bottom. The €5.06 is missing.
I assume this is just a small bug. My profile is public if anyone wants to take a closer look
High Yield Income Portfolio
Disclaimer: I know that this is not an optimal strategy (I also have a real portfolio). I also know that very few people are interested in this type of portfolio, so feel free to skip the post, you won't miss anything.
I started building this HY Income portfolio about three months ago.
The first position was $QYLE (-1,07%) and now I've gradually added more stocks.
$QYLE (-1,07%) is pretty much the classic when it comes to covered call ETFs and is in my opinion a must have for every portfolio of this type.
$ACRE (+0,21%) I have great confidence in the management of Ares and the company is one of the few MREITs that I trust with my money. ACRE's portfolio is currently being restructured to be more defensive.
$GAIN (-0,91%) Solid monthly dividend payer with some growth. The management seems pretty solid to me.
$OBDC (+0%) Since the company has changed its strategy a bit and is now investing more in equity to increase NAV, it is my favorite BDC.
$STHE (+0,27%) PIMCO specializes in high yield funds, in my opinion it is especially important in the high field area that you trust the management, which is why I chose this product.
$DIV (-1,1%) I like the portfolio of royalties and it offers further opportunities for diversification.
$JEGP (+0,05%) I really like the JP Morgan Covered Call ETF strategy, but will possibly exchange it for $JEPI as soon as it is tradable at TR.
$RITM (+0,09%) I like the vision of the CEO and the dividend is double covered.
$SEDY (-0,26%) was recommended to me by a friend.
QYLE is now being saved less, the focus is on the other stocks.
What are your favorite high yield stocks?
Greetings to all,
I started investing a good year ago. Never really been on the dividend track until now. Wanted to ask which dividend stocks or ETF's you can recommend such as $O (+1,37%)
$VICI (+2,65%)
$OBDC (+0%)
$MAIN (-0,54%) or SP500 dividend aristrocrats and etc.
Thanks in advance for the feedback and have a nice day
The remaining cash was used and the position in $OBDC (+0%) further expanded.
In addition to $HTGC (-0,77%) and $JEGP (+0,05%) my mainstay for cash flow.
Something else #beerchallenge from the really beautiful Vilnius.
My portfolio value may have taken a hit, but that didn’t stop me from having my highest day of dividends EVER! 💰
This week, I received 4 different payments from $WPC (+1,13%), $MAIN (-0,54%), $OBDC (+0%), and $O (+1,37%) for a total of $115.27.
What’s the most amount of dividends you’ve ever received in one day? Let me know in the comments! 👇
