Red August

Hello my dears, @Klein-Anleger1

after the great performance in the previous months

August was unfortunately not so successful.

But September is going well again so far. And so I am YTD with + 5.04 % better than the

NASDAQ 100 + 0.16% World+ 1.14 %.

Reasons for the underperformance in August are earnings at my large position GFT and negative news at Defi Technologie.

The tariffs weighed on Embraer, and the correction in defense weighed on Kitron and AeroVironment.

Vertex's earnings were also the fly in the ointment.

Negative position: (month of August)

Defi Technology - 25.61%. $DEFI (-4,82 %)

Innodata - 23.64%. $INOD (-2,53 %)

Tokyo Electron - 20.95%. $8035 (-0,03 %)

Vertex. - 16,38% $VRTX (-0,5 %)

Aixtron. -15,53%. $AIXA (+0,44 %)

Transdigm. -15,13%. $TDG (+0,7 %)

Vertiv. -14,72%. $VRT (-0,01 %)

Coinbase. -13,01%. $COIN (-2,68 %)

AeroVironment. -11,91%. $AVAV (+1,49 %)

Kitron. -7,79%. $KIT (+0,92 %)

Microsoft. -7,64%. $MSFT (-0,43 %)

Embraer. -4,75%. $ERJ (+0,73 %)

Nvidia. -4,33%. $NVDA (+2,51 %)

GFT Technology -3.67%. $GFT (-1,31 %)

With so many negative positions, I am glad that I got off lightly due to my positive positions.

Plus positions: (month of August)

Gilat Satellite. +22,14%. $GILT (+0 %)

Applovin. +18,69%. $APP (-1,24 %)

NU Holdings +17.88%. $NU (+0,71 %)

SoFi. +12,24%. $SOFI (-0,99 %)

Alphabet. +8,95%. $GOOGL (+1,6 %)

Fortescue. +8,90%. $FSUGY (-0,4 %)

The review is always wild. It always feels like I'm worse than the benchmark. Only once do I remember that I was better than the S&P. In March, when the S&P slumped, I even did without the Rewind. Maybe better for business and panicky investors 😂

Performed worse than the S&P again. But if I benchmark myself YTD or 1Y with Getquin, I'm about 6% better off 😅

The main thing is that all important goals are achieved 👌✌️
What would be your current assessment of DeFi Technologies? Why has it seen so much vola in recent years? At first glance, it seems totally unvalued 🙈

@Tenbagger2024 I think your $APP position was a tenbagger for the first time today. Mine reached 8x today.

Hi there, how do you see the Vertex situation right now? Do we see an interesting buying opportunity right now, or are you waiting and seeing?

Incidentally, I have also added to Linde and I am also focusing on EXL again.

@Soprano
The whole pharma sector needs a lot of patience right now. Vertex is a long-term investment for me. I also have a few other stocks in the pharma sector and remain invested. I will probably add to $CAMX.
Having added to Linde is not a bad thing, Linde brings a lot of calm to the portfolio, especially when the market is not going so well. EXL Service is still a little undiscovered for me, I think many investors are perhaps also skeptical as to whether exl AI could do any harm. But they are slowly realizing that EXL integrates AI well into their software.
Incidentally, this is also one of the reasons why $CSU is having such a hard time. Perhaps also interesting for you

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, I still have 1/5 of my portfolio in healthcare stocks, so I am aware of the current situation. However, the sector has recovered well in the last two months, which is why I'm less worried that Vertex won't get back on its feet, but whether we'll get cheaper again. It's always a bit difficult to tell whether things are now slowly moving upwards or whether this is just an interim recovery.

Apart from that, of course, it's very interesting what unknown treasures you're unearthing again - I'd never heard of CAMX before.

And your explanation of EXL seems plausible. Many software companies, including Salesforce, are currently under pressure because they are unsure whether AI will accelerate or slow down their business model.

I'm also looking at the blade suppliers quite a lot at the moment

@Tenbagger2024 The blades of what? Do you mean Ki? So Synopsys, ASML or Nvidia?

Airbus has plenty of aircraft that cannot be delivered because engines are missing, which is why I go to $MTX.
Drones and defense, big topic, who benefits, the contract manufacturer $KIT.
One of the best-selling defense systems is Patriot, for which the nations need a constant supply of missiles, who delivers $RTX. The order books are full.
Industrial robots are becoming more and more, a shovel, for example, would be here $6954.
Who is the contract manufacturer for humanoid $JBL.
And this is how I often proceed
