I think you can also open a position with €400. Today's order fees make that possible. I also used to start with €400-1,000 per position. Today my stakes are between €3,000 and €6,000, but I still hold many of my previous positions and have since increased them. Not everyone prefers passive investing with funds or ETFs.

@MauriceLeon Exactly. Costs nothing with Scalable. And in absolute terms, the size of the position doesn't matter.

@MauriceLeonI agree with you. I don't think the attitude of @Hannes_SK is particularly forward-thinking either. With speculative stocks, for example, I always give up such small positions (risk minimization).

You shouldn't open a position for €400.
In this respect, save a fund from it or spend it on consumption.

@Hannes_SK Into consumption because €400 is not worth investing? Sounds pretty far-fetched to my ears.

@DerMartin It is not worth opening a new position, see above. 👆🏻
You can also get everything wrong if you want to get it wrong.

@Hannes_SK It says "before you open a new position, spend the money".

Is that not how you read it? How would you link the content of your two sentences?

I would put the money into one of your existing small positions.

So the ADR would not be an option for me, LVMH would not be a whole share;
as I only ever buy whole shares, that leaves the other three. Personally, I would choose $NKE as it would still fit well in my portfolio.

don't see a real red flag for any of the stocks;
the smallest downside is probably $NKE; if you like dividends, it would probably be $BMY
