Building my dividend portfolio, which one would you pick?

I have been building my portfolio this year and it is doing quite well. Currently my focus is diversifying my portfolio. I have some nice performers in my portfolio like $BESI (+1,11 %) , $ABN (+0,52 %) , $EVO (+1,21 %) , $VLK (+1,75 %) . A few others are still underperforming for now but are known stable companies like $ALV (+0,92 %) and $TTE (+2,74 %) . My focus now is also a bit towards US stocks due to dollar diversification since I am mainly invested in Europe, Switserland and Scandinavia. I am always looking for companies with strong balance sheets, low debt ratio's compared to their peers, growth, dividend and maybe undervalued. One great example is $EVO (+1,21 %) which I expect to launch🚀 in the coming year.

I'm looking at three dividend stocks right now: $PFE (+1,3 %), $AEP (+0,34 %) and $ENEL (-0,82 %). They each have different profiles, and I'm trying to figure out which could be the most attractive at this point.

$PFE (+1,3 %) seems undervalued. The stock is still well below its pre-COVID levels, the balance sheet is strong, and the dividend is over 5 percent. The real question is whether the company can return to solid growth with its pipeline.

$AEP (+0,34 %) is a US utility with stable cash flow, a solid dividend track record, and relatively low debt. It doesn’t move fast, but it offers a good level of reliability and income, especially if rates come down.

$ENEL (-0,82 %) is more of a question mark. The dividend is growing by nearly 9 percent a year and paid in multiple installments, which I like. But the stock is already up over 20 percent this year. Debt is quite high, and revenue growth is limited. I like the exposure to renewables, but I'm not sure if this is the right entry point.

  • What do you think of these names?
  • Any clear favourites? Or red flags?

Also curious: what are your expectations for the USD-EUR exchange rate in the second half of the year? I'm considering the FX angle too, since two of these names are US-listed.

@equity_partner_2012 I would buy Allianz, Munich Re, Total Energy and Pfizer
••
Allianz and totalenergies i have already. Pfizer 👍 was on my shortlist. Thanks good choices!

@equity_partner_2012 I have stocks like ING, Aegon, Aperam with nice dividend. But i'm 60 so, must be careful. last years i only invest in High
Dividend Fund like KGHDF from Kempen and 6-7 High Dividend ETF's. They give me every month a passive income and i sleep well. 😴

@mickey1399 true at some point you don't want to be too active trader. I am building up and like to analyse and research. I have learned a lot in the past months. I also have $ING , $NN , $VLK which are performing well. Thanks Ron.

In the dividend stock department I currently have $MUV2 , $BATS , $RIO and $WPC .
I also have $TRMD A and $PETR3 - but these are more risky.

As soon as I have some money I plan to add $PFE . From the banks I am looking into $HSBA and/or $ING . I also like $KHC .

Actually I do like $ENEL - i have it on my watchlist.

If one does not want to go into individual shares one might want to take a look at $JEGP or $IAPD
••
@NichtRelevant thanks, i also noticed $RIO its on my list. Some interesting ones like $KHC . I am currently highly invested in banks and insurance companies so looking to diversify a bit. Your comment is helpful.

Did you ever consider $MELE the Belgian chip stock ?
••
Never heard of it. I will look into it. Thanks.

I just looked at it and it seems to be a strong company. It is certainly a candidate for my portfolio. I believe the potential in terms of stock price is 20 to 30% upside which is interesting and the dividend 5%+ is also good. The only risk is the exposure to the automotive industry which is really difficult in Europe currently. But based on the past 5 years a solid stock.
