Bought yesterday. Probably one of the most boring stocks in my portfolio, but a solid dividend payer that shouldn't have too much downside risk. At the moment, many key figures are dreadful, but in this case I am quite optimistic that 2024 will be much better, as they had to deal with a cyberattack last year. The dividend for the coming year will also be announced in the next few days, so of course I'm hoping for a nice little increase.

Due to the recent revival of COVID I have decided that it would be a good investment to buy some $CLX (+0.54%) -shares to buy

That being said, I have bought one stock and am looking for calls that are ITM, but that is risky and I need to do more research. I have attached a chart to show the potential gains from this investment.

Yesterday another company found its way into my portfolio :)

I was looking for a solid company with a good dividend yield from the consumer sector.

With a little research I came across Clorox.

Clorox has recently declined in price and is now back on an upward trend. With a dividend yield of 3.2% and a market capitalization of 16 billion, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I still see a better growth opportunity here compared to Unilever and P&G, which is why I then also decided in favor of Clorox.

Did you have Clorox on your radar and what do you think of this company?

Is Clorox an underdog?

Clorox was recently punished by not so good quarterly results, in my opinion too strongly. The company has almost a monopoly position with some products in the USA and still has good growth opportunities outside the USA. With a market cap of 15 billion, the company is not nearly as large as Unilever or P&G, for example.

What do you think of Clorox and do you think that the company can outperform the other consumer giants?

G20 - Global minimum tax to come in 2023. In this, every company that exceeds an annual turnover of 750,000 euros is to pay 15% tax on its profits. The large digital corporations must have a turnover of at least 20 billion euros and generate a pre-tax profit margin of at least 10% to also be affected by the global sales tax. Amazon ($AMZ (+0.56%)) would then be spared its 5% margin, while Apple ($APC (+0.57%)) would be asked to pay. Tax havens would also become less attractive, as the tax burden would not fall on the home countries - as it does now - but on the market countries, i.e. where most of the revenue is generated.

Ryanair ($RY4C (+0.04%)) - The airline has finally been able to report a profit again since the start of the pandemic. In the quarter July to September this year, the profit was 225 million euros. In comparison, Ryanair made a loss of 225.5 million euros in the same quarter last year.

However, a loss of 100 to 200 million euros is expected for the year as a whole, as airline tickets have to be offered at discounts.

Bitcoin ($BTC-EUR (+1.25%)) - After Bitcoin's strong October 2021 gain, there are eager hopes for an even stronger price increase. Predictions vary between a $50,000 and $100,000. Next month's result could be significantly influenced by the fact that many investors are in a celebratory mood and expect a continued strong increase. On the other hand, a throttling of the markets is expected after an announcement by the Fed.

Volvo Cars has had to scale back its ambitions. Automotive industry: The German automotive industry is now facing a shortage of magnesium. Magnesium is mainly needed for the alloying of aluminum. Crypto-currency fraud campaign - YouTube channels are currently being hijacked by hacking creators with fake cooperation requests, according to Threat Analysis Group. After the channels are taken over, they are either sold or used for livestreaming crypto-currency fraud. This campaign can be attributed to a group of Russian hackers.
