Amper is one of those companies whose history weighs almost as much as its numbers. For years it was synonymous with dilution, restructuring and unfulfilled promises. Today, however, the story is different. Not because the road is finished, but because for the first time in a long time there is a clear and recognizable direction.

The company has chosen to concentrate on areas with barriers to entry and structural demand: defense, critical communications and technological solutions linked to energy and industry. Sectors that are not very attractive to the general public, but attractive from a strategic point of view. The problem, as almost always in Amper, is not what, but how and when.

Operationally, the improvement is tangible. The order backlog provides greater visibility and the corporate discourse has gained coherence. It is no longer a question of survival, but of orderly growth. Even so, the business still needs volume to dilute costs and stabilize margins, and this balance is still fragile.

On the stock market, this fragility translates into volatility. Amper continues to overreact to any relevant news: contracts, capital increases or shareholder movements. The market keeps remembering its past and demands constant proof that this time the turnaround is real. There is no credit in advance.

Financially, the company walks a tight line. Growth requires investment and investment too often means dilution. This is the main stock market brake: not so much the business itself, but the fear that the shareholder will again pay the price for growth. Until this perception changes, the share price will find it difficult to consolidate a sustained trend.

In terms of valuation, Amper does not seem demanding when looking at medium-term growth expectations. The problem is that these expectations are not yet fully reflected in margins and cash generation. The market, prudent, chooses to keep it in a range of controlled distrust.

In short, Amper is a story that has learned from its mistakes, but has yet to prove it on the stock market. Interesting, yes. Promising, perhaps. Confirmed, not yet.

This week, I’ve implemented an investment plan that’s a bit more capital-intensive than in previous weeks, thanks to some extra income.

I’ve tried to take advantage of the correction in $PLMR (-0.81%) (my growth play in the insurance sector) and the decline following the capital increase at $AMP (-1.1%) (my speculative bet, which is becoming less and less speculative), as well as increasing my exposure to the company with the most solid and sustainable dividend in my portfolio, $G (-0.57%) .

The rest of my investments—in Sabre, Allianz, and Ping An—are simply part of a dynamic dollar-cost averaging (DCA) plan that I’ve already set up based on how their prices have changed since my last purchase.

And our portfolio value has now surpassed €1,000!

And with this, our total portfolio value has already surpassed €1,000!

• $SBRE (-1.37%) (€19): The company reported earnings this week. Analysts weren’t particularly impressed with the annual outlook, but the company continues to grow its market share and remains unique in its niche.
• $AMP (-1.1%) (€10): The stock continues to trade sideways and remains well below its target price. This month, we learned of the award of new international contracts.
• $PLMR (-0.81%) (€20): It’s holding steady at last week’s price, so why not increase my position in a company I believe in?
• $ALV (-0.47%) (€10): It’s in a support zone, and the company is a powerhouse. We need to stick to the plan.

Amper signs five collaboration agreements to strengthen its position in the defense and security sector. It partners with Thales, with Airbus ($AIR (-2.02%) ) and Turkish Aerospace (through a memorandum of understanding aimed at “Spanishizing” and acquiring a combat trainer aircraft for the San Javier Academy), with Orbital (part of the CAF Group ($CAF (-0.4%) ), and with Nomad (for deployable energy solutions to support operational capability).

In late March 2025, I decided to embark on my journey along the winding paths of investing. And as a novice investor, I started with a sector I was familiar with: insurance.

For that reason, about 75% of my portfolio is in that sector.

My biggest bet right now is on $2318 (+1.67%) a solid company affected by circumstances beyond its control. I $MAP (-0.61%) I have a special fondness for it, and along with $ALV (-0.47%) stabilizing factors. $G (-0.57%) It underpins the portfolio and stabilizes it. $PHNX (-0.05%) It pays generous dividends without harming its business and $SBRE (-1.37%) has tremendous potential, with a unique business model.

Most are companies from Continental Europe, two are British, and one is Chinese. The first four are general insurance companies with a strong focus on property and casualty insurance. Phoenix Group focuses on life insurance, and Sabre on premium auto insurance with a strong motorcycle underwriting presence.

Outside of insurance, an ETF in the defense and security sector such as $IVDF (-0.01%) as well as the Spanish company $AMP (-1.1%) , which is also closely tied to defense and security and has emerged from a difficult situation and is now on the right track.

My plan? To invest around €50 per week in these stocks through a dynamic investment plan on Trade Republic. Each week, I’ll adjust the portion of my investment allocated to each position based on its performance.
