Bitaxe Lotto Miner

Hello Testo crew,

here he is... the Lotto Miner. Thanks again to @stefan_21 for the tip and the help.

I immediately made a small update and bought another fan because the standard fan was too loud in my eyes.... The recommended Noctua NFA4x20 5V PWM is great!

I also increased the core voltage to 1100. Runs stable and has no peaks below 1 Th/s.... now runs on average at 1.3 Th/s. I can only recommend it to you @stefan_21 .

Fan is currently running at 55% and keeps the 60 degrees.... inaudible... Well invested 15 € !

But I'll also try the higher volts again and see how it is with the temperature.

Jannis from Solomining.de is a really great guy. Super good contact.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.

Regards

Testo

How much power does it draw when running 24/7?

@Alpalaka at 20w consumption so 3-4€ month

@Testo-Investor So you need 5000 years to find a block. 215 euros cost price, 4 euros per month on top.
Gosh, 240,215 euros per block in costs, the price and output of BTC per block would remain the same and your device would now last 5000 years. Really worth it. Solltest dir für deine Urururururururururururururururururururururenkel noch mehr davon hinstellen.

And by the way, it consumes 876 MWh. That's equivalent to the annual consumption of 100 households. Blown into the air by Testoking for 3 BTC. You can't imagine. I hope the green police find your grow farm and take you down :)

@Madhatter5566 Good calculation. I'll just buy 3 Btc tomorrow 😂😂😂😂
profile image
@Alpalaka for me about 20W on the solar system 😀

Cool! Congratulations - and fingers crossed that the next block will be yours or that of @stefan_21 😘
I'm still debating whether to buy/build my own node first and then get the Solominer - or buy the Solominer first and attach it to a public mining pool ...
OR don't do any of that and just buy $BTC with the money instead 😂

Do you have your own node or are you in a public pool?

profile image
@Ash great idea ! Stefan was so nice and allowed me to come into his pool. But I think Publici Pool is not so cool either ....
1
profile image
@Ash Buying Bitcoin with money is probably the most profitable :D
3
profile image
@Testo-Investor That's really nice. I wonder if he would have a place for me? *flashes at Stefan* 👀 @stefan_21
profile image
@Ash of course😘
I also use a public pool instance that I host myself :D
I'm still looking to see if I can publish the pool page... then anyone who wants to could join :)
But for now I'm trying to finish writing Bitcoin for beginners part 2😂
Let me know if you also have a Bitaxe, then you'll get the connection data for the pool :)

Now add a fancy Bitcoin price display next to it and the nerd corner is perfect😁

@sc1 But the one you linked clearly has too few places. Just saying 🥳
profile image
@Ash I think it will still work this year😁
1
profile image
@sc1 I'm right there with you 🙌🏼
1
profile image
@sc1 I also have the little Hodler in my house😂 Where can you get a price display like that? I thought about buying the Block Clock, but it wasn't worth the money😅
1
profile image
@stefan_21 This is an Ulanzi tc001, which is also not that expensive. It's available from Amazon, among others.
If you install awtrix as custom firmware, you can display virtually everything. In my case, the values come from Mqtt and are updated there via Home Assistant.
2
profile image
@sc1 complex to install the firmware ?
profile image
@Testo-Investor not at all. Connect the USB and click on "flash" in the browser😅
2
profile image
@sc1 ok is ordered 💪

Can you briefly explain how this works? Is it more of a gimmick or is it really profitable? Does it run 24/7 for you? How do you get the earnings into the wallet? Greetings and thanks in advance

profile image
@wealth_architect_2053 You connect the device to your WLAN, then enter your wallet address and off you go. You don't actually have to do anything else. You'll just be on a public pool, which is fine. Yes, it's actually just a gimmick because the probability of finding a blog with the computing power is very, very low. Yes, it runs 24/7, it's really just about finding this whole blog of 3.125 Bitcoin. You don't get smaller sums sent to the wallet.
3
@Testo-Investor Thank you very much, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you are one of the lucky ones.
profile image
Are there actually any usable "Plug n' Play" parts for people who don't want to deal with it? So plug it in, enter a wallet or something and you're done? Lotto for fun. My plan would then be to switch on/off via a Shelly socket as soon as the balcony power station delivers a surplus :-)
2
profile image
@Papiertiger clear. The Bitaxe is plug & play.
Very easy to set up - connect to the WLAN, enter the BTC address, done :)
1
profile image
@Papiertiger Just like Stefan says... You don't have to be able to do anything 😂
1
profile image
@Testo-Investor Now a maximum of 50 and I'd be in. Well, let's see
1
profile image
@Papiertiger I would prefer that too... so it's just €215. For
A toy
profile image
On whattomine.com you can see which currency is best to mine with your hardware. You have a computer anyway. Linking to Shelly will be difficult, but you can also use tesmviewer to control the miner remotely, just manually.
1
profile image
I find the nerdminers nicer and the latest one also runs 1.33 Th/s do you only use it for solo mining or do you go into a community pool?
2
profile image
@Koenigmidas send a link. Pool with people from the Testo crew
profile image
Question: there have already been comments here saying "Connect to power, connect to WLAN, enter wallet address, done"
If you then join a pool, does that increase the probability of getting a reward? Or is there an overview of different pools to compare them?
profile image
I also bought a Noctua fan - I also placed the other one on the back - lowers the temperature a bit more :D
What frequency are you running it at?
1
profile image
@stefan_21 1100 seems to be top for me.... Fan quiet at about 60% and average 1.3th/s..... at 1060.... I had extreme performance drops under 1th quite often ... temperature is kept at 60 degrees .... 1150 there the fan must turn almost 80% ....
1
profile image
@Testo-Investor and frequency? So the 1100 core voltage at what frequency?
1
profile image
@stefan_21 max what's up ....636....
profile image
@Testo-Investor currently have 1080 × 650... also seems to run well and is slightly above 1.3 TH/s...
Temperature is stable at 65 degrees...

636 is actually not the max value. You can also turn on the "overclock" mode and then you can pretty much set what you want. I've already played around with it a bit. But it's dangerous because in the worst case you could break the device😂
1
profile image
@stefan_21 How do you get into these modes? I also want to set it to 650 :-)
profile image
@Testo-Investor
192.168.x.y/#/settings?oc=
The oc at the back is called "Overclock mode" :)
1
profile image
@stefan_21 thanks :-) test it straight away. Have you tried 700 ?
profile image
@Testo-Investor yep... also ran without any problems. But I was afraid that it was too high and went back down to 650😂
But I read up a bit in the forums and apparently if you have less than 1% error shares within 15 minutes of starting, ideally 0 of course, the miner is running correctly. So you can give it a try :)
1
profile image
@stefan_21 yes i'll have a look and run 650x1100 for now ... it only makes a marginal difference anyway, doesn't it?
profile image
@Testo-Investor at 650 I think you have around 1.33 TH/s and at 700 it goes towards 1.37

They also run a mining pool (https://pool.solomining.de/#/), but no block has been found there yet, so in principle it seems to me that the chances are much greater than trying to do it all alone. Are any of you already mining there?
1
profile image
@Singulus doesn't help you ... what are the rules? Is the block shared or does the finder keep the block etc.?
profile image
@Testo-Investor You would have to ask the colleague from solomining.de, I don't know.

I found it at X:
"Zero fees and 100% block rewards go straight to the lucky miner."
profile image
Is that correct... (I'm not familiar with mining...) - that you have a chance of 0.00001 percent with 1TH/s?

LG Tobi
1
profile image
@Tobiwankenobi500 yes, really bad ... you need about 5,000 years ... hence toys 😂
1
profile image
@Testo-Investor well one supported yes also ne idea + looks cool and has 0.072 hp
1
profile image
@Tobiwankenobi500 I think it's really cool and that's why I bought one, just to somehow continue to be a part of the whole thing, even if it's a very small part. So people, get one of these and we'll make a Getquin Mining Pool.

I think 1 th/s is questionable for the hardware 😅
1
profile image
@Paddy_ro even manages 1.3 TH/s on average. Overclocked even over 2 TH/s...
Is the BM1370 ASIC chip (from the Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro)
1
profile image
@Paddy_ro was even 1.33 on average

I'll take a picture of my nerd corner tonight 😅

Haha nice. I also have 2 full extensions running with 2 ths and 35 watts each. The third one has already been ordered but then that's enough. 100 watts should be the max for me. 😁

How is it with such a
public pool. If I find the block, do I get the 3.125 bitcoin in full on my wallet or do I have to share it with everyone? @stefan_21

Would you rather recommend a Bitaxe or a cheaper model from e.g. Nerdminer which @stefan_21 once presented. To be honest, I would do it more out of my affinity for gambling than because I really know my way around it😂

or for 80 € already pre-assembled... But then the power supply is still missing... because with our 25 W power supply we certainly won't get very far with 2TH... https://pleb.style/products/low-profile-ice-tower-plus-plebstyle-edition-simply-the-best-upgrade-kit
