$HAUTO (-1.86%) Hello everyone, why does this share have such a high dividend?

In view of the payout ratio of over 100% of operating cash flow, could it be that they are trying to win or even attract shareholders? 🕵️‍♀️

@Iwamoto when they sell a ship they can pay dividend, so no constant factor.

@Revenant3 This is not a shipyard, but a shipping company.

@Iwamoto oke, Its on my watchlist, because you must have some risky shares. 😉

There is a whole range of companies in the shipping share sector that sometimes pay very high dividends.

I like these shares, but you have to be aware that they are also cyclical stocks and that there can be lean years after periods of good profits.

Shipping companies usually specialize in one or a few niches, e.g. tankers (crude oil or product tankers), bulk goods (grain, ores, coal, etc.), ferries or containers.

$HAUTO belongs to the ferry category (I myself have $WAWI - this is the competitor).

For tankers, I find $HAFNI, $TRMD A and $FRO interesting. (I have $TRMD A in my depot).

I am still missing containers. I am wavering between $MPCC, $ZIM and $MAERSK A.

Dividend percentage here at GQ for 2025 is wrong. The dividend has been reduced and is now only around 2 Eur in total. As some users have already written, dividends are no guarantee.
