Get rid of it

I don't believe in a turnaround anymore.

>It's been over a year and nothing's happening. Dividends are for old guys—not for me 🙈

I'd rather buy BTC or ETFs and at least take a tax-free loss on NVIDIA. 😂🥳😇

@HardRockDividende Greetings from Grandpa to Grandpa—at LVMH, with the stock price declines, these aren't dividends anymore, but just compensation for pain and suffering.

@HardRockDividende It's really impressive how much your portfolio is generating in dividends! A cash machine!! 💪

@Dividendenopi I agree with you. I haven't had LVMH in a long time😌

@HardRockDividende I don't think so, just because of the French withholding and transaction taxes

Maybe you just sold it at rock bottom

@Sebbster And if not? At some point, you have to make a decision.

@GHF That's right. We'll see.

I think you sold too early. And also you have a €714 average price… maybe the issue was the entry, not LVMH.

$MC It continues to be purchased monthly through my savings plan. My worst stock🤌🏻🤪

I'm going to do exactly the same thing. Sell my LVMH shares and add to my BTC holdings in 2026. In the long run, BTC will come out on top. Plus, it's tax-free. Peeeeeople, let's pump it!

Right decision!
A great company is useless if there's no light at the end of the tunnel in the markets.

I would never, ever have sold it. Especially not right now.

@silverbug999 We'll talk in 12 months. $IWDA 131€ now. lVHm 413 €

Whichever has performed better by then.
••
@Papiertiger Who cares about 12 months? We're talking about long-term time frames.

First of all, kudos for the decision. No one can know for sure whether it was a mistake. What was the investment thesis back then? Since you say you didn't buy it for the dividend? Don't you have a set of rules for an exit? I actually added LVMH to my watchlist.

Your post made me take a closer look at LVMH. To be honest, I wouldn't have sold. Instead, I'm thinking about getting in. If it drops another 10–15%, I'd be in with an initial position! In the long term—over 3–5 years—I don’t think you’d be making too many mistakes there! 😉

I bought into a falling market and would rather save a little on taxes than wait 2–10 years just to break even—and deal with opportunity costs (investing elsewhere) on top of that. I don’t see a +75% price increase coming in the next 12–24 months. To each his own.

Buy high Sell low 😁

I like to jump at opportunities like this. But I also want to hold onto the stock for at least 10 years.

Good decision. I see the stock trading at around €280 next year. Maybe even below €250.
