Target return of 15-25% for 2026 already exceeded. Do you think a correction is ahead? What now?

It's only two weeks into the new year and I've already reached the upper range of my target return (15-25%📈) for this year. What would you say, fixed-term deposits from now on 😂🙈?

No, of course not, I'm raising my personal target slightly to 35-45%... But I'm going to be a bit more defensive.

A part will be put into the wikifolio of @Epi or a similar momentum strategy. But that's still in the making, because I'm still researching it...

Oh, the thank you goes out to $RKLB (-0.98%)
$PNG (-1.92%) and $IREN (+2.46%) . We will certainly see a small correction soon, but it can continue like this afterwards...

Let's see your YTD performance and your personal goals for 2026

@Epi and that's exactly why I'm becoming a little more defensive and dealing with momentum 😊

Stay relaxed and keep your feet on the ground. Just don't get megalomaniacal.

@Tenbagger2024 Yep, the next correction won't be long in coming. But right now I'm just enjoying the moment 😊

@Klein-Anleger Hang in there, there's still plenty of time before the million. And you will enjoy it and cry. And we are with you.

What do you think about RKLB and ASML? Let it continue to run or is a correction in the offing?

@bull_investor_1994_
After the strong start to the year, I expect a correction in any case. However, I remain invested in ASML, which I see as a long-term investment. There are reports of full order books here.

I would be "okay" with a price return of 10 percent, 15 percent would be nice. I am "modest", despite the tech focus. In addition, the dividend yield - calculated on the overall portfolio - should be another 1.5 to 2 percent.

Everything is being held, acquisitions are planned in chemicals - despite the poor situation - because I am still counting on a turnaround, even if it is a long time coming. I am sowing the seeds here ...

@Charmin 👍 Good luck!

The year will still be long and the crazy megalomaniac orange-utan is still here 😉

@SAUgut777 completely forgot 🧡 the lovely orange man on Greenland 😅

@Klein-Anleger There will definitely be something to come this year.

You say something. Sometimes I really wonder what kind of stuff this guy is getting himself into...

I clearly defined my goals for 2026 in Deep Dive Part 3. That's enough for now. I also don't think it makes sense to adjust your annual targets after 2 weeks

Return so far 4.4% plus! The target for this year is my usual 10% again! And I would like to break the 500k mark! Still missing 18k 😉
10
profile image
@BavarianLion I agree with the interim status and the goals 👌🏼
1
profile image
@Wealth-Accelerator So 18k will flow into the portfolio through my savings plans anyway! Possibly another 10k through individual purchases, everything else is in the hands of the markets 😉

@BavarianLion
My year is difficult to forecast.
Best case scenario: I can still invest 20k. Worst case 0 😅
Currently still 12.5k short of the 500 😬
1
profile image
@Wealth-Accelerator It's best not to put any pressure on myself 😉 My savings plans are secured in any case, I still have 25k parked with Scalable, but I want to keep them in case Captain Orange goes crazy again and the stock markets go into decline 🫣

Next April is coming 🙈

profile image
@nitroxx so go short in March 😅🙈?
profile image
@Klein-Anleger that wasn't a recommendation 🤡 but you know that 😀

Hold until the end of the year. That is also the real challenge 😉

YTD +9.59 %. The portfolio is divided into a value block, a dividend block and a growth block. The growth block only accounts for 35%, which is of course where the performance comes from, as it does for all of us. I hold BTC, foreign exchange, gold and silver separately to maintain an undiluted picture. Annual target: 15% + savings rate + reinvested dividends (>6000 €/a). Good luck to all! 🍀

YTD 9.12% I still think I would be happy with 20% at the end of the year 😉

For me, it's quite simple: the goal is to outperform the "market", i.e. common benchmark ETFs. I'll be able to tell you what the target return looks like on 31.12.2026😉 And also whether I've achieved my target return. My volume target is much more clearly defined and definable because it can be planned for the most part.🤷🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything in my eyes. Who says your shares won't fall tomorrow? That's always just a snapshot.
Even if you take out your profit now, you'll still have to pay tax on over €1000, which is great, but you have to be realistic.

@bull_investor_1994_ I don't think he'll understand that 😕

7.5% (91k) but to be honest you have to say that about 3% of this was generated by 80% of the portfolio and the other 4.5% by 20% of the portfolio.
The target is again 20%

We are almost identical, we also have around 25% YTD.
My target return is at least 50%.
3
profile image
@Shiya Strong, so at least you haven't attached me yet 😊🙈🚀
profile image
@Klein-Anleger If I hadn't sold Rocket Lab so heavily at the beginning of the year, I would have easily sold 30% YTD
3
profile image
Very strong! Hopefully it stays that way.😅
Unfortunately, I'm only at just under 4% for this year.
$NOWThe stocks $RBRKand $FTNT have mainly dragged me down.🫣😕
The winners for me so far are currently $BTC, $NBIS, $IREN and $NOVO B.

@MrSchnitzel Thank you! You're just saying 4%? 4% is 4% up, after only two weeks! Congratulations 📈👍
2
profile image
@Klein-Anleger When I compare it to yours or Shiya's, yes.
It makes you envious.😂
I'm really excited to see where we'll all be at the end of the year.
profile image
@MrSchnitzel when we enter a significant correction, you will no longer be envious 😅 but happy!
2
profile image
@Klein-Anleger If so, but I will also be strongly affected 🫣😂
Let's see if a stronger correction will come at all, I think at the end of the year we should be back in the +. :)

7.86% - target is 10%

Congratulations. 🍾
For me it's currently 5.5% YTD. Target 2026 -> more return than 2025. 😅

Congratulations, it looks similar for me at the moment, I'm 23.56% YDT. Powered by Rocketlab and Irish.

But I also believe that Iren and Rocketlab still have some way to go this year. One or two corrections will come - or not😂 But I'm not planning to leave the rocket just yet🚀

How are things looking for you? What are your price targets for Rocketlab and Iren?
I also still hold a large position in Hims which I increased substantially at under 30.

So far YTD +24%. My long-term target is 25-30% p.a. Nevertheless, I have set myself a target of around +50% again this year.

YTD +5.17%. The goal is simply to beat the S&P, so 10-12% by the end of the year would be enough for me.
If it's now over 20% again like last year, I wouldn't have a problem 🤷‍♂️

January got off to a wild start, yep. $IREN $ONDS $RKLB $PNG is doing splendidly. But $3LSI $UEC $GILD and $GLXY are also doing well, or are catching up a bit. But as many others here say, it's just a snapshot. I don't have an annual performance target. The goal is to become more concrete in my own goal. A larger sum (long-term) can be invested in Feb. I will again add to the 3xGTAA of @Epi, would like to add a long-term position in Nvidia and add to $BNTX. Otherwise, gradually liquidate several smaller positions (<1% portfolio value). The Posis are getting too much for me... Congratulations on your return @Klein-Anleger

Fixed-term deposits might be the best option. We'll see 😅

Pain ahead I would say 😆 Just be prepared for temporary pain, but stick with it in the long term.

Wow 🤩 I've just exited my KO at $IREN with 160% in 20 days. It's gotten a bit too warm for me now, somehow I can't get the hang of letting profits run hin🤷🏻‍♂️

3.4 so far.... is room for improvement, but there are also a few positions that are stuck 👀
1
profile image
Congratulations! My current YTD figure is 11.37%.

I am currently at 23%. The only problem is when you consider that another 25% of the profit would be lost if you were to take it out, the joy is immediately put into perspective again...
As I said, I'm happy about it too, but it could look completely different tomorrow, but that's what makes it so appealing 👍🏼

7% always aim for as much as possible, I'm happy with anything over 15% because I calculate with 15% pa in bills how much money I have when I'm 30 😂🥸

YTD 13% mainly because of gold and silver. A correction is very likely. I'm bracing for a big drop in the general stock market. Putting some cash aside to buy the dip!
