I am 21 years old and have been actively investing myself since 2019, before that my parents started investing money for me.

Now I started working at the beginning of the year and can currently invest €1000 per month, but I'm thinking about increasing it again if necessary, as I have enough left over at the end of the month.

$MSFT (+1.68%) and $META (+0.69%) with 50€ each.

$IWRD (+1%) and $LOCK (+1.16%) with 150€ each.

I would like some feedback on what you think about diversification in the savings plan, or whether I should invest more in shares at a young age.

I will also be joining Trade Republic next month and will also be focusing on short-term trades as I have been looking into this a bit more recently.

Lufthansa $LHA (-0.36%) is facing a challenge: a ruling by the Cologne Regional Court has decided that the airline may no longer use certain CO₂ statements in its advertising. Deutsche Umwelthilfe has won an important victory in this case and the court has upheld the claim in full. Although the ruling is not yet final, the impact on Lufthansa's marketing strategies could be significant. Especially at a time when sustainability is becoming increasingly important to travelers, this could fundamentally change the way the airline presents its environmentally friendly offers and force it to find more creative approaches to appeal to its customers.

In Germany, the DAX $LYY7 (+0.65%) is relatively stable on Tuesday. The leading German index is expected to rise slightly by 0.1 percent to around 22,874 points before the start of trading. Investors seem to be looking for a clear direction, while the Asian markets are developing unevenly. The Nikkei 225 in Tokyo is up 0.46 percent, while the Shanghai Composite is down 0.10 percent and the Hang Seng in Hong Kong is even down 2.25 percent. Market participants are keeping a close eye on current developments and are waiting for further impetus to make their decisions. It remains to be seen whether the markets will stabilize in the coming days or whether we will see further movements.

It will be exciting in the evening when GameStop $GME opens its books and presents its key figures for the past quarter. Analysts have high expectations for the figures, which could draw investors' attention to the share. Developments surrounding GameStop are always a hot topic and could also influence the general market situation. In other news, Hyundai is causing a stir with the announcement of a 21 billion dollar investment in the US, which could bring additional movement to the markets. At the same time, Heidelberg Materials and Jenoptik have announced that they will increase their dividends, which is a positive signal for investors and boosts confidence in the companies.

Broaden your portfolio to reduce risk? Tradingview Indicator

Who hasn't experienced this? You think you're diversifying with a new asset, only to realize that it's actually very similar to the rest of your portfolio. This doesn't create a real diversification effect, it's just packaged differently and you have almost the same exposure.

This is where my indicator comes in. It shows you how strongly your current chart (you can use just about anything here: from individual stocks like $PLTR (+5.41%) to ETFs like $IWDA (+0.91%) , bonds, crypto, commodities, economic data, etc.) with key markets such as the S&P500 $VUSA (+1.04%) , the Nasdaq $CSNDX (+1.59%) , the Russell2000 $XRS2 (+1.06%) , the Dax $LYY7 (+0.65%) , China $CNUA (+0.23%) , gold $GOLD silver $PHAG (-0.48%) , bonds or the cryptocurrency $BTC (-0.73%) correlated. This allows you to immediately recognize whether a supposed addition to the portfolio actually changes anything or is basically just a clone of what you already have. Let's take an example: You think you are creating a counterweight to Europe with China, but you realize from the correlation that both markets are moving almost in sync. So you know that this "diversification" is of little use. Apart from the fact that Europe and China generally haven't done much for a long time, haha.

The interpretation of the values is relatively simple. High correlations (close to 1) indicate similar price trends, negative ones indicate opposing trends, and values around zero indicate that there is no clear connection. Bear in mind, however, that correlation is not the same as causality and often only shows indirect relationships. Moreover, historical correlation is no guarantee of future patterns. Nevertheless, this view helps to uncover possible misconceptions and develop more targeted diversification strategies to make your portfolio more resilient. The +/- ratio can now also be taken into account. This is because it often happens that one and the same asset correlates very differently with each other in different phases - sometimes very positively, sometimes very negatively. As a result, the average value can provide a misleading picture. The stronger these fluctuations are, the more percent of the time it is positively or negatively correlated. This is therefore an additional indicator to check how meaningful the average correlation actually is. So + value is the time where the correlation is positive in % etc.

Still to be optimized, that the correlation is not currently limited to certain time periods. For example, if you want to look at the relationship between MicroStrategy $MSTR (-0.8%) and Bitcoin in isolation would have to exclude earlier phases in which MicroStrategy was still a real business and not a "leveraged closed commodity fund" as it is now. In addition to the ATH delta filter, I also plan to incorporate a moving average (MA) as a further trend filter. In the long term, I would like to integrate even more markets, for example emerging markets or non-USD bonds, in order to paint a truly comprehensive picture.

The correlation with interest rate expectations I have used $SHY (short-term government bonds) and $TLT (long-term government bonds). If the SHY falls, the market assumes that interest rates will rise over the next two years. In the case of TLT, this expectation relates to around 16 years and is effectively "leveraged" by the term. If the asset you have shows a high correlation to the SHY, it means that it is relatively sensitive to interest rates (like almost everything). But that would be too much to explain in detail. What is clear, however, is that interest rates play a major role for equities, especially for the Russell 2000, where many smaller, unprofitable companies benefit from low interest rates, as do mining companies with high levels of debt, for example. Of course, it is not the only correlation, but it is an important factor.

Hi, I've been investing in funds since 2010 and have gambled a bit on the stock market from time to time, which always went well, except for this January when I took a dive into the toilet, well, that's part of it, I'd say. Since November 2023, I've been thinking that maybe I should stop gambling and build up something solid and long-term via a savings rate. (even though I hit the wall in January)

Now I have opened 2 brokers TR and Finanz.Zero

In TR (€ 238 per month) I wanted to save in individual shares and in FZ - ETF's (€ 225 per month) my funds continue to run in parallel with € 150 per month and then there is another € 200 per month on the call money account. Monthly investment of € 813

Now I've thought about the following and wanted to ask you for your opinion:

What do you think? Investment horizon, there is no concrete one, the €800 a month doesn't hurt me and I would only spend it on nonsense anyway.
