Apple's difficult year 2025

Nvidia's new strategy for China

These measures have severely restricted the shipment of Nvidia's H20 chips to China, which is expected to result in a drop in sales of up to 5.5 billion dollars per quarter. Nvidia's market share of AI chips in China has fallen from an impressive 95% before the export restrictions in 2022 to just 50% currently, which CEO Jensen Huang finds worrying. Despite these setbacks, China remains a key market for Nvidia, accounting for an estimated 13% of sales in the 2025 financial year. Huang highlights that the Chinese AI market is expected to reach 50 billion dollars in the next two to three years. Missing this opportunity could mean a significant loss for Nvidia, which is why adjusting its strategy for China is of great importance.
